Sunday night and I am looking forward to playing the APAT World Event and also the Ladbrokes Poker Cruise Final, my 7th of these £420 events so far, one of which I bubbled when totally outplayed by pro-player John Magill.
Only 8 entrants so fantastic value with 1 £4000 package for 2 people guaranteed. I am 3rd in chips when I get involved in a hnd with the chip--leader. I bet the flop and he calls. I bet the turn and he tanks and I am also looking at the Betfair lobby. Just as I go to shut it down, the gamescreen re-appears....and I am mortified as I hit the raise button by accident. He had re-raised me and now I am left with 240 chips !!
I was out soon after and was absolutely mortified. My wife really wants us to go on this trip, as do I and the sinking feeling was that bad that I could not bring myself to go in the living room to tell her what I had done. It really was one of my lowest points ever since I took up the game and I found it very hard to concentrate on the APAT event after that.
Moving on and it is Monday morning and I am off work. I play the $30, $15k guaranteed event on Stars at 11am and just over 6 1/2 hours later I am $3262 better off after taking it down in 1st of 582 runners. From despair to ecstasy in about 10 hours.
The wife is now home and moaning cuz I aint cleaned the house so I settle down for a relaxing night in front of the TV.
At about ten to eight she goes out into the garden and I remember the GUKPT freeroll in Poker Player magazine at 8pm. I fire up the laptop and decide to play with the sound off while watching TV. I get "The Look" when Karen comes in from the garden, but tell her that I always do crap in freerolls and will be out by 9pm.
Well.....at 12.30am (she has now gone to bed) I took down this event too ahead of 352 other players to win a £1300 GUKPT Luton package, including a £1080 main event seat.
I haven"t had many days like this one and I doubt that I ever will again.
Life can sometimes be very good so enjoy it while it lasts :)

"It"s a funny old game, Saint" ::)

Congratulation for your winnings!
Such missclicks happened me too, when I was close to a big eventpackage. Hard stuff.
Good luck for the upcoming events.

This is why I rarely play multiple tables for satelittes or big buy in events and never over 2 different sites Misclicked at the wrong time to knock me out once too often. Especially if I"m involved in one hand and then the other site pops up and I accidentally shove or fold the wrong hand
Saying that, you still got some nice returns there

Wow - nice work.
Planning on using some of the coinage to get in a gardener...perhaps

Brilliant Bri, your on a roll. I have done the mis click thing as I am sure most of us have. Got knocked out of the GUKPT FR with pocket Js, the third time I had lost with "em that night!!!

lol Bri - does Monday"s elation make up for Sunday"s disapoointment though???? ie, does 3k, and a seat at GUKPT, compensate Karen for missing the cruise???
best of luck in Luton.

To be fair, it would appear he has learnt that lesson. ;)
