...Just want a quick clafication on this:
Lets say 50 players turn up for example.
All paying £20 each = total prize pool £1,000
Top 10% win a £75 seat in national - so thats £375 gone from pool.
Is the balance of £625 then paid out in cash?
How many places would this pay out and roughly what would be the prize money for each position?!
Just wondering... ;D

Top 10% qualify for the seat in the National.
The same 10% will also be paid out a share of the balance in the pot, after deduction of the £75 entry per qualifying player.
In Leg one, if 5 players were to qualify then the balance would have been paid out as follows:
First 31% of the pot
Second 25 % of the pot
Third 20% of the pot
Fourth 12% of the pot
Fifth 12% of the pot
Obviously the percentages change dependant on the number of qualifiers.
Hope this gives you some idea.....

Thanks for that - great help!
Is the cash paid out by the casino on the day?
Does the casino keep hold of the £75 for the national seat?
Also, if someone won that did not want the seat at the national, can they take the cash instead?

Yes.

If you"re at a Grosvenor, then yes the £75 for the National seat will be retained by the casino. For Gala casinos I"m not sure, perhaps Des or somebody who"s played a Gala Regional can help out here....?
Also, if someone won that did not want the seat at the national, can they take the cash instead?
Yes, all you need do is mail Des and let him know that you will not be playing. The £75 will then be reimbursed to you, but probably not until after the National event has taken place.

I would like to see this information published in full. From what I could make out from the feedback on Leg 1 events, there were some differences from casino to casino.

Alan,
The casinos have been instructed to payout, and qualify, the top 10% rounded up. This means for example, that if there are 62 runners, then the number of qualifiers and payouts will be 7.
This is the matrix used for leg one:-
Pos 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
Paid Paid Paid Paid Paid Paid Paid Paid
1 25.0% 27.0% 29.0% 31.0% 34.0% 40.0% 65.0% 100.0%
2 20.0% 21.0% 23.0% 25.0% 28.0% 33.0% 35.0%
3 15.0% 16.0% 18.0% 20.0% 23.0% 27.0%
4 8.0% 9.0% 10.0% 12.0% 15.0%
5 8.0% 9.0% 10.0% 12.0%
6 8.0% 9.0% 10.0%
7 8.0% 9.0%
8 8.0%
I don"t believe that the matrix has changed for leg 2.

No problem.

FYI, Gala retain the £75 too. We gave out hand written receipts for the £75 retained for Manc seats yesterday.
