It"s level 8 and blinds are 800 / 1600.
-
Marco Lo Cicero has just gone out of the Pro Final in 8th place.

-
Ian Thompson is all in and takes the hand with Aces up.
-
Stud is on 10 mins break. Chip counts to follow.
-
Amar then takes John Miller out of the Pro event in 5th. The chips went in pre flop, Amar with Jacks to John"s Eights, which failed to improve.

No hand details I"m afraid.

-
To the hearing relief of the dealer, fellow players and patrons attending the cinema complex across from DTD, we"ve just lost Steven Scouse Bayliff in fourth. His King Nine not good enough to trouble Matt Russell"s Ace Queen, with a Queen on the flop.
The three remaining players are in the medals.
-
gogogo Matt
-
Michael Jones exits in third taking the Bronze medal and £1147.
Matt Russell taking him out, Ace King against Ace Ten.

Phil Tompkinson on the end of an interesting hand in the PLO.
Flop came down js 8d :3d:
Phil"s opponent bets and Phil called.
The turn was a juicy td
Phil calls another bet.
The River was a fourth diamond.
Phil calls his opponent"s river bet, declaring the second nuts and a call.
Phil"s opponent puts his hand face down and Phil shows top set and second nut flush.
The dealer pushes the pot to Phil at which point, Mr Opponent is up in arms, declaring he believed Phil had folded and not called - and he turned over the nut flush.
Mr Opponent"s hand was declared live by the floor and he was awarded the pot.
Drama early on then.

79 Francisco Manuel Garcia.
-
If you would like player chip counts give me a shout out on here.
-
78 John Miller
79 Berney Frankfort
John Miller was very unlucky in his exit hand.
He thought his Aces were beating Chen Tam"s Q 10.
Then the flop came 986, turn 8 and the river.... You guessed it.... J and Chen Tam hit his straight.
-
81 runners for the six max, with 3-alternates

John Goss thought his AQ was good enough to beat his opponents 77.
He hits a Q on the flop, but unfortunatly his opponent has the nuts wen he rivers quad 7"s.
He wanted me to add, 7"s have not been very good to him during 6 Max as this was the 3rd time he had lost to them!!
Very unlucky John. He exited 67th.

Allin pre flop,
AJ v 99 of Colin Young.
And the AJ doesn"t hit.
Which player had the ace jack ?
-
The ace jack belonged to Stuart Oliver, who exits in 11th place.
-
Six Max is under way again after a short break. Blinds are now 3,000/6,000 Ante 600.
Before the break we lost
12th Martyn Sharp
We have now reached cash positions.
Out in 11th was Stuart Oliver
Before play continued, these were the Chip Counts.
Tournament Current Seating and Chip Counts.
67 2 Anthony Williams - 70,700
67 3 Frank Moszkal - 67,100
67 4 Colin Young - 140,300
67 6 Carl Lybert - 89,900
68 1 Michael Tracey - 98,800
68 2 Baljinder Powar - 52,900
68 3 Andy Barnes - 34,400
68 4 Sam Popple - 93,600
68 5 Daniel Phillips - 58,000
68 6 Andrew Overton - 85,600
-
What a hand !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael Tracey raises with qh 7h, Bal Powar wakes up with pocket aces.
The chips are in the middle,
The board comes 6h 4h jh to give Michael the flopped flush.
Then comes js on the turn
Followed by jd on the river.
And the aces are good, but needed a runner runnner full house to double up Bal.
-
This is getting very sick up here.
Allin pre flop
Daniel Philips JJ
Sam Popple AT
Board runs x x T x T
Sam was UTG and limped, Daniel shoved, Sam called.
Daniel Phillips exits in 9th
-
Only sick since you went up there Leigh, more of the same please
-
Could you lovely people please pass on good luck wishes to Carl Lybert, Baljinder Powar &
Daniel Phillips Ant Williams.
-
Best of luck Ant & Carl run good, fingers crossed for you.
-
Come on Carl
-
Table of sickness continues.
Sam Popple raise all in with here giant stack UTG.
Andy Barnes in the big blind has to call as he is short stacked.
Sam has JJ, Andy has 4 5 .
Board comes 75T 4 9, to double up Andy with two pair.
Isn"t poker great ? The sick beats all balance out eventually.
-
And we lose a player, and it"s a simple one.
Bal goes all in from the small blind, Andy Barnes in the big blind has a decision to make, and makes the call with ad 9d.
Bal has pocket tens, which hold, and Andy Barnes exits in 8th place.
-
So, with 7 players left, we have a final table in the 6 MAX event.
Confused ?
Well, I was for a bit, but it"s all been explained to me by the DTD staff. They don"t play hand for hand with 3 on one table and 4 on the other, so we play the final table with seven to start.
A quick break, and we"ll get this on the live stream.
-
Bal for gold, Carl for silver, Ant for bronze. Good luck fellas!

Oops posted my answer on wrong thread. Here"s one for you Tighty what does the phrase Fab stand for in Thunderbirds.
-
Antonio Fargas.
-
Antony Willams out in 6th
Michael Tracey shoved K2 spades on the button Ant found a10 off in SB and called
Flop 109J two spades
Turn 3
River Q
And Antony takes 6th place
-
5 Handed now and blind stealing aplenty
-
Avg stacks are now 10 big blinds
There will be a clash soon no doubt about it!
-
Really enjoyed the 6 max today, happy with the way I played and good banter too.
Please wish Colin Young the best of luck from me (tell him it"s from the young Scottish bloke that bought him cheesecake)
-
Sam Popple goes all in from the button and Michael Tracey insta calls
77 of Sams vs AK of Michael
Pot is around 165k
flop 7 6 6
and that pretty much locks up a double up for Sam.
the turn of 2 and river of 8 are meaningless.
And we are still 5 handed
-
Michael Tracey is out in 5th place
he shoved from the button with 85 off and Colin Young had to call with j7 off
the board bricked
we are now 4 handed and on the medal bubble. I doubt it will be long before we bust through that
-
clash of some stacks.
Andrew Overton vs the button of Sam Popple.
66 vs KJ
the pot is 317k
the flop 5 8 6
turn 5 and river K
Sam is crippled with 60k
and Andrew takes nearly half the chips in play!
-
Break for 15 mins
It will be decided very soon.
Who will prevail?
-
Bal Powar!
-
And we are back blinds 10k and 20k with a 2k running ante.
Sam Popple doubles up straight away with Aces vs K10
K hits the flop but no further help for Andrew Overton and Sam doubles through
-
shoving, folding, raising, folding
that is pretty much where we are at the moment with the table
only 40 big blinds in play! this is how much a medal means
-
Sam doubles up again KQ vs Andy Overtons A4 suited
2 kings hit the board and Sam now has around 240k in chips still around 10 big blinds.
-
big hand all in AK of Baljinder vs the AQ of Andrew
flop comes 773 turn 6 river 3
and they chop it up!
here we go lol
-
Unlucky Bal.
-
Sam and Baljinder get it on this time.
Sam in the BB faced an all in raise from Baljinder
She insta calls and slams AA on the table with a whoooooooo :)
Baljinder has 44
An Ace on the flop pretty much ends the hands there and then with no running fours to save Baljinder.
350k for Sam now
the search for 4th place is almost over!
-
Bal A-9 button shove
Colin Young A-K in the bb
Bal Power out 4th
-
C"mon Andy U can do it go go go
-
Unlucky Bal.
Great result though. Unlucky to bubble the medals but well done.
-
unlucky Bal :(
well played 2day
Ian
-
Crazy action on this final table :o
-
Four/Three handed Sam Popple has had AA four times
Two double ups and two walks
Spooky, and bloody annoying if you want to get to bed lol
-
Wow, driven to another country and it"s still going on!

You seemed to be playing a great game, picking your spots well. Gutted you didn"t get a medal but it"s only a matter of time. I can see you doing very well in future events/seasons.

lol, crazy horse. I should"ve stayed to watch!

Welcome to the usual "Chipaccrual" HORSE updates :-
Story so far.
I head to the HORSE event, watch a few of the tables, eventually pluck up the courage to ask what game they are playing. Get a few funny looks and a couple of sighs, decide to walk away until the players are a bit more mentally worn down from playing limit poker.
Will pop back up there around level 8, by my reckoning.
-
Ian and Des are currently stood in the updating area discussing who"s going to shoot the horses ?
Tighy and I look a little concerned, as the buffet break is not too far away.
-
Horsing around....

Just wanted to add my congratulations to Colin on his win in the Six Max. Gutted to be one card away from winning my first APAT title but couldn"t have gone to a nicer bloke. Also well done to Sam "Aces" Popple for winning the bronze. Unlucky to Bal who had me crushed twice with AK, once vs AQ and earlier with K-10 but we split the former and i won the latter. Sure we"ll be seeing more of him in future.
Many thanks as always to all the APAT team and to the guys at DTD for putting on yet another great tournament. Sorry for keeping you all up so late! Quite amusing to read the updates on here with Leigh insisting "down to 5 and it it won"t be long now", "10 big blinds average, won"t be long now", "oh dear god, another break!". :) :)
Look forward to seeing you all in Dublin where hopefully i can go one better. Happy with my silver but i need a nice shiny gold and a trophy to sit alongside it!

Cheers for the drinks Colin & Suzy, a pleasure sharing a table with you both. Same goes for Stuart, Brendan & the other Leeds player whose name I didn"t catch.
Not James Edwards though - there was nothing pleasurable about the one hand we played ;) (catch you next week mate)

-
Martyn Sharp is out in 7th place.
Question 1 - What game were you playing ?
Answer - Razz
Question 2 - What was your exit hand ?
Answer - (Head on table as he tries to remember) I had errrrrr, 4578, double suited in the small blind, ummmmmmmm, i was in the small blind, so I called the 3k big blind, 3 people in the pot. Now, what the hell was the flop. (Head in hands again). Right, the flop was J26 rainbow, errrrrrr, so, somebody bet 3k, so I called, turns the ace, errrrr, I raise to 6k, get reraised to 12k, so I go all in, and the other guy has a 5 and a 4 in his hand, I"ve got second nuts and he"s got the nuts.
Question 3 - Oh well, sounds fun ?
Answer - Yeah, what a great way to spend 8 hours.
-
John Goss out in 17th
Would have been nice, but I"m pretty sure I went around 40th (presumably the ANON that was posted?). Got two outed again like the 6max, after someone hit runner runner wheel in Stud8. We were going to chop some nice dead money too as I pretty much had the high locked.
HORSE was amazing except for the small amount of dealer confusion at the start (got told E was for Omaha8 and that Clubs > Spades on the bring in ::) ). So thank you APAT for hosting as it"s so hard to find a live HORSE game.
-
Well done to all finalist but either Paul or Darren for win and 2 nd two top blokes P. s. And both welsh lol
-
Go on Paul, you are on a good rush, it"s for you! And don"t forget, you are a one of "the unbluffables".

It"s over.
Goodnight!
-
Just home now, a big thank you to all involved and very well played Jon, could"ve gone either way at the end.
-
Thanks to APAT and DTD, for the opportunity to play HORSE (badly in my case), it so good to escape the Holdem dominence of the Poker world and play the other games. From what I saw there was some very good and quite sophistocated play, long may these side events prosper (any chance of an "8 Game" tourney)?
-
Well played Stephen, a pleasure competing with you
Dunc
-
You gotta stay anyway tighty for the next delivery of mince :)
LMAO ;D ;D
-
Congratulations Stephen on a great performance. The whole event was played with a fantastic atmosphere, culminating in a topsy turvy final table, which anyone could have won! Many thanks to Apat, Betfair & DTD for supporting this crazy game and to all the players who made it so memorable.
See you all next year
Kevin
-
Congratulations Stephen, Jon and Mathew, and all ft"rs. This really was good fun and the banter was excellent. Sick to bubble the medals but hey fantastic, well played.
P.S. You owe me a plate of chips.... ;D ;D
-
I"ll spot you a burger with all the trimmings next year ;-)
Final table was mental, and yes, could"ve gone to anyone of 6 for a long while.
Sign of how topsy turvy it was, even heads up I only scraped in with 1/4 of a pot in stud8 to stop in the damned thing, and we managed another half rotation of games after that.
Was good to hear Kevin"s hold"em mates not having a clue what we were actually doing too, added to the atmosphere.
Stevie, the fella who dealt the final table, also deserves a mention, he was excellent throughout and took all of the banter in the spirit it was given (strange fetish for only giving us two cards, but other than that...), so thanks Stevie, the other dealers and Kevin (TD) for keeping things going brilliantly.
-
have to say that the 6max tourney was the most enjoyable tournament i have played in ages. I didn"t stay in as long as i would have liked but enjoyed the action and banter whilst it lasted.
-
