Wayne Parker 197700
Stuart Pillinger 183100
Henry Griffiths 165400

Joe Gleeson 135100
Good luck to Richard Stevenson, Gerard Smyth Jr, Jeldon Fernandes, Phil Tompkinson, Gerard Smyth Sr, Stephen Roderick, Chris Filus, Don Roberts & Gordon Mcarthur for day 2 tomorrow.
Gotta say it"d be brilliant to see Senior win one of these.
One final thing, will the alternates be added to the normal 10% to make extra places,as is normally the case, or will they be included in the total prize pool, only this will make a big difference to a lot of strategies. if anyone knows please post.
Good Luck to all 57
blinds will be 2,000-4,000 when they return
another bright day in nottingham. good luck to every one today. luckily for me only two directions i can go with my chip count. up or out.

according to what was posted about the prize pool in the player brief it said that any alternate adds an extra place added to be paid 100 pound. therefore 11 alternates - so position 41- 51 get 100 pound each.
good luck with the strategising ;D

Ben Young has such a mountain of chips he has no idea how many but estimates its well over 400,000
Superb coverage/commentary, really enjoying this, thanks to all involved.
Jon Ellis makes a small raise from the SB, and Richard Sheils calls.
On a flop of 4 8 6, the chips go in. Jon Ellis has been playing pocket kings, his opponent has flopped a straight with 7d 5s.
Jon exits

It really is THE most eccentric payout structure and I"m never ever going to understand it.
Personally I feel that people play these events primarily for the ME structure and also for the social interaction and general bonhomie and all this despite the payout structure. There is generally a seat into something or other added so the tourneys will always be played out to a finish.
I love the events but I just don"t get why 9th pays the same as 4th.
I love the events but I just don"t get why 9th pays the same as 4th.
Not sure whether commenting on a player"s tells whilst people are still in the hand is the best behaviour at the table. Or screaming he has no hand this is a button steal. Bit strange from tournament commentators!

Because it"s not about the money...the structure is designed to promote play at the tables and so is heavily weighted towards the later finishers.
Once the pressure is off about how much you"re gonna get (at the FT) then the play gets so much better when you"re playing for the win.
Simples.

I am afraid I have to disagree here.
One"s play at the FT is primarily dictated by the size of one"s chipstack and it"s relation to the blinds and antes.

a little of an over-statement here....there is very little stated demand for it to change four seasons into APAT....our feedback doors are always open....

Just don"t understand the reasoning for it. As far as I"m aware APAT is the only tournament series in the world which has this kind of payout structure.

Thanks to Wazz 1974 and Mint Trav for good luck wishes and all at DTD, APAT, Players and supporters for making it such a superb event. See you in DUBBERS......

Not that I"ve ever had to worry about the payout structure lol
Age old argument which APAT have so far refused to shift on.
Quite rightly in my opinion....of course if people prefer other payout structures they"re welcome to leave and play those instead.
Their loss.
Just back home after busting out 19th. Raised pre to 32K, passed round to Will Devanney who pushes for his 300k which I inst call. I show KK he shows QQ, flop X X X Q X....argghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Wazz 1974 and Mint Trav for good luck wishes and all at DTD, APAT, Players and supporters for making it such a superb event. See you in DUBBERS......
Unlucky Richard, saw you had exited but didn"t realise how until now.
Great to meet you and Suzy, sorry I was so hammered last night, glad I amused you ;D

I have never seen Gareth Cash fold so many hands.
might be wrong but is mark discussing a deal amongst the last 4?

With stacks so shallow making it 100k is much better than making it 120k or more. People shouldn"t be worried about being priced in. People aren"t deep enough to play post flop

Even 100k is way too big imo, min raising ftw
Ben Young is a corking player isnt he?
Might not win, but one to watch for sure.

Any chance you could either :
i) move the camera position to the left, or
ii) strap Mark into his chair - he"s up and down in front of the camera like a jack-the-box.
;)

We are being spoilt, Mr Yong on the live feed commentary.....
Unlucky Wayne, very well played mate !
Good weekend for the Welsh
Loving how Tikay hardly knows what day it is.
So glad I didn"t play the HORSE. Bed is about 20 paces away?
Well done to Ben Young
Well done also to Steve Roderick
Thanks to tikay, Simon and Rob Yong for the commentary
Congratulations on Bronze Wayne - very well played.
Really pleased for you but share your disappointment at not getting Gold. I"ve been there mate and can tell you that you should be proud of the Bronze, a great achievement, particularly in that event.

Sorry Steve!
Congratulations Ben, Steve & Wayne VWP.
Thanks to everyone for making it such a fun few days of poker :-)
Wowsers, what a weekend.
Big congrats to all those winners and cashers throughout the festival, including those APATers showing their form in the DTD events.
Huge applause to the APAT team, what excellent work in organising, running and delivering a superb poker experience. And shout out to Betfair for providing great value, altho i wasnt a recipient (sp?)
Big big big well done to Phil TC for his back 2 back Worlds Main Event cash, next year for sure for the FT!
Many thanks to Ian, Jippy Filth and Dave for being part of a great banter filled wkend altho i come away with another sick exit from a live APAT event. Onwards and upwards to my next one!
Well done everyone involved, this weekend showed again that APAT is true class and an excellent poker playing pleasure :)
Not sure why I am still up but I am so here goes.
A bad few days for me from a poker perspective but that"s all down to my own poor play and James Edward"s luck....
But a great few days in general, with so many people to credit, APAT fantastic, DTD fantastic, Dealers fantastic, Staff fantastic, Massuers fantastic (ty betfair).
Special mentions to Tighty, Leigh & Des - the day I discovered APAT must go down as one of the best discoveries I"ve ever made.
I also met so many people, some of whom are already friends, but a lot I was meeting for the first time in many cases have "met" online so if I forget to mention anyone I apologise
Fistly the usual suspects: My roommates Phil (another deep run, well played sir) and Chris. Then Ian (great result mate), Don L, Don R, Big Ger, Dawn, Steve (good for morale), Brian (fishy balls?? ;D), Stuart, John (nice triple barrel ;)), Paul, Rudders (river rat) James, Mary & Joe
Then it was great to meet so many online teammates and adversaries in the flesh for the first time; Luton Teammates Warren, Richard, SuzyP (sorry about the 3-betting!!), Carl, Alan & Stuart also some players I have "known" or known of for some time but not got to meet before including Jack, Suzanne, Dan, Dylan, Little Ger, Dave, SharpLea & Julie -probably forgotten a few but I can blame the alcohol.
Congratulations also to all of the winners and medalists, final tablers etc.
Note 1 to self - You live 1 hour from DTD. Must visit more often
Note 2 to self - Do not drink so much
Note 3 to self - If Note 2 is ignored do not play cash
APAT ftw
And very well done to Ben Young. Your pals told me that u would take this one down even before day 2 began, and u defently ran the show for the whole of day 2.
Now I just need to work on going one better in Dublin. Hopefully will not have to contend with playing against Ben there :-)
At work today will detail experience on blog when i get home. Well done to all medallists and a Big thank you to APAT/DTD for another great weekend. Got home at 8pm last night, Dawn slept all the way home hit the couch and is still there by all accounts.........
that would be Henry Griffiths
