-wrong section - academy ftw.

Dnt open so large pre.  Just make it 325-400.  Opening so large from EP w/ a medium strength hand is pretty much a recipe for disaster.

As played we have a really easy get it in on this flop.  I prob make it 4k and call a shove.

raise smaller and fold pre flop

^^^ Definitely this

check/fold flop

^^^...but never this!

Hate the preflop play, but once we get to the flop, how can we ever check/fold with TPTK and nut flush draw. Looking to get all in here.

As played it"s a simple shove for my money.

As I read it there are 3725 chips in the pot and you have 12K behind, any raise commits you and you think he has an overpair. The three bet pre and the flop action means that even if we give him a fairly nitty range of JJ+ and KhQh (which is probably too tight) it is still a good shove as he might fold his AA, KK or QQ here and we have at least 46% equity against his range (almost certainly more in reality) so I am going to CRAI as it is the most profitable long term play.

The inital raise preflop is too large as 400 does the same job and with AJ you want to play a smaller pot, fold to the reraise.

(assuming the other player is a generic, fairly tight APAT player).

I love the idea that there is such a thing as a generic APAT player  ;D

Mostly online this but i find when raising in ep , if  its only a  small raise you tend to get multiple callers ??  hence slightly larger

Can i ask tony, why did u raise 3.5x anyway? especially as there are no antes. Well anyway, on the flop i would have to get it in. Only a dog to a set and its more likly he has kk or qq.

I didn"t expect you to call my all in, Tony. I think the radar was working well for me over the weekend as I was thinking flush draw when you re-raised my post flop bet - I was just relieved not to see another heart on the turn or river.
