Title: League 2 Matchday 7 - 14/11/10

Matchday 7 will be another close fought matchday without a doubt, with a maximum of 12 points remaining of the season every point will count until the end.

A nice 2 point gap at the top is great to see, and an even better 4points from 4th (Top 3 get promoted of course) we have put ourselves in a very good position. Lets makes sure they previous hardwork doesn"t get wasted.

Luton 11
Sunderland 9
Nottingham 8
Leeds 7

We seem to have some form players, Curlarge doing great in the Portugal Poker Tour, Cinkid taking down the Monday Night Furness game (we had 2 other FT"s) and PYiDJ coming 2nd in the APAT European online last Saturday. Paul hasn"t played this season, but played most games last season - A PM has been sent!

PM"s will go out later in the week to those that have played before, but as normal if you know anyone that has played fro us before - get them on board.

We have won the 2 of the last 3 matchdays, and still have always had at least 1 FT, which is superb.

A minute later got knocked out of another tourney when my queens got beaten by AQ.

you really see variance in action when youre playing 3 tournies at a time !!!!

How on earth i managed to get back from 945 chips after the second break to at one time on the final table being chip leader !. Great game with Ian and Richard and entertaining the banter on the final table. Hope to be able to play in the next round. Wont be able to make Coventry at the end of the month. Wifey has put her foot down and said 2 live tournaments is enough for one year (even though at DTD i was only in the omaha for and hour and a half - dont really count that as an appearance). Good luck to all going and thank you again for last night. That should boost my league position back up again !

What a result for Luton last night. Well played all, and as Stu said there was some great banter on the tables and especially the Final Table. I thought the plays of Rich and Stu were fantastic, and when I was sitting 4th out of the 4 left I thought that was a great result as I was nodding off from 9pm as I had only got 10hrs kip in 2 days after going up to Glasgow and back for the VIP Masters. Even when I was heads up against Rich, I would have been happy with 2nd, but to come first (my best ever league position) made my weekend complete!!

UP THE LUTON !!!!

PS: With my Kent roots, it was nice to see that Pables took down Div 3 last night, well done Ian.

As I see it, we are 7 points clear of 4th with 3 games to go. Leeds are 4th with 7 points, assuming they win the next 3 league games they"ll end up on 16points.

We therefore need 3 more points to secure promotion (If we got 2 points thus 16 points each, Leeds would go above us by virtue of 2nd place finishes, as 1st places finishes would be 4 each)

If Leeds fail to win in Matchday 8 then we would need only 1 point to secure promotion!! (15 each and we would be above by virtue of more 1st places)

But we don"t wont that we want the league!!!

In order to do that we need 7 more points from the 9 available, assuming Sunderland win the next 3 matchdays.

In order to win it on Matchday 8, we need to win and Sunderland need to fail to score.

But nothing is guaranteed yet, and judging by the end of division 3 last year, it won"t be over until the river card on Matchday 10!

With, and this is written in order of importance.....superb players, playing their A game, with the added bonus of a reliable turnout week after week, we have put ourselves in a super position.
