Down to the last 5 in a tourney on Ladbrokes and sit 3rd in chips with just one relatively short stack at the table.
Guarranteed 600 euros for 5th with 820 4th and then into the serious money.
I raise on the button with :as: 9s and the BB, a good player who bets big with the goods, calls.
Flop comes ts 8c 7h and he bets out and I call.
Turn is 4s and he goes all-in.
He has me out-chipped and the pot is now about 350k and I have about 95k back at 10k / 20k level. Winner of this pot would be chip-leader.
1. What hand do you put him on
2. Would you have played the hand any differently
3. Having got this far, would you call ?

OK - I promised myself to answer these type of questions to see if i see things in the right way..so happy to be told so..or shot down in flames..
I dont think he has any big hand, as he"d most likely to have raised if he indeed has the goods as ur read sugggests this.
Not knowing how much he bet out, and what you had behind etc, I may have raised or got it in after the flop. Decent outs, back door nut flush, esp if i haven"t put him on a monster.
guaranteed $500 your playing to win and not ladder....after the turn you have more than enough outs so i"m calling all day long tbh.
But then i didn"t get picked for any team for Bolton so what do i know !! ;D ;)

1. No idea but I wouldn"t be surprised to see JJ here
2. No..line looks fine
3. Snap call.
-
1. What hand do you put him on - absolute dirt
2. Would you have played the hand any differently - Shoved on the flop
3. Having got this far, would you call ? every day
But like Waz I only got into a team cos I own it ;D

1. Any pocket pair or big ace
2. No
3. With 600 euros locked up and 15 outs, I"m always calling here.

Some very important info missing Brian...
All player stack sizes.
Payout,
Any history,
Have you been busy especially on the button,
Does he defend light,
Does he defend by calling or 3bet,
Does he regularly donk bet.
Betsizes,
Preflop raise,
Flop donk bet,
Turn all in.

Turn I"m all in
I Think id have played it the same way but your only left with 5bbs if you fold. Surely all the odds point to a call, flush draw, straight draw and over card with the ace could be good. He has probably got a Q10s type hand
-
no probs with the way it"s played, other than trying to understand stack size at start of hand. If you have 95k back when he shoves and blinds are 10k/20k, it"s clearly always a snap call - what else would you do with 5xBB.....
Dependant of what the stack sizes at start of hand (from the commentary, it feels like you"re on around 12 to 15x - for me that would probably be a simple shove.
-
think you played it fine
I"m calling off here probably - depends on payouts stacks etc but would still call
Is the strategy board down ??? ??? ??? ???
-
As played, snap call, probs would have pushed pre TBH.

I gave it a lot of thought and put him on a hand that had a 10 in it, 10-9 or maybe even 10-8 as his shove could get rid of some straight draws, therefore I thought I was behind but I agree that you are playing to win at this stage and with 15 outs, I did call.
When he turned his hand over I was gobsmacked...... he had kh qc ....and I was AHEAD and he had 4 outs !!
Of course, I wasn"t ahead when the kd binks on the river !!
Another "interesting" hand tonight on a site that I rate as the fishyest there is...PKR.
Bear in mind this is a $50 buy-in and we are at level 5 (50/100)
I have just over 5k and my oppo has me covered.
I raise with ac 8s in position and he calls in BB.
Flop comes :as: 6s 7c and he bets 600 into 650, I call.
Turn is js and he bets 600 again but into a pot of 1850. I decide to put him to the test and ram them all-in. Not a great play maybe, but difficult for him to call without the goods.
But who needs the goods on PKR !!
He snap calls with.....wait for it....... jc 5h and rivers the 5c for 2 pair.
My advice is get on PKR for the 8pm, 6-handed game.

from your recollection of stacks sizes this is a standard shove pre - no?
if not, shove flop, stick his donk bet where it belongs. leaving yourself 5 bigs after calling flop seems a bit weird
-
Level innit.
-
ship it on the flop. hes not donking into u with anything better than top pair.....
-
i wouldnt be surprised by his play, he has just tried to level u, and it would of worked if you never hit openended straight draw. But u defently should of shoved his donk bet. You showed weakness by just flatting and allowed him to get lucky.
-
i would have gone all in pre you dont want to see a flop with a/9 he allways going to bet out on any flop after his call so take the pot down pre and the 30k + anti and move on to the next hand . and i dont understand the calll on the flop leaving back 95k back its a fold or all in on that flop and as he has bet 1st its a fold for me.but as you have called and the flush is now on its a snap call at the end nut flush draw and open ended strait draw does not matter what you put him on when you have 5 bb left and 17 cards 2 hit(20 with your ace) to go cl
