I have no idea why this was moved from general poker discussion to strategy.  It has 100% zero about strategy...and actually is not even about poker  ???

Just so sick

Agree, on what levels are you stating it is sick..., just curious on other opinions.

I kept reading it expecting them to state he"d died trying, so was pleased he didn"t!

Don"t understand within the "inside" of the poker world, or prop betting for that matter , but if it ate me up that much, and I was worried that much, I"d just have said, you win the bet, stop.  ESP if I was thinking he may hurt himself in the process of trying to win.

Not sure I think he was a great mate at all!?   :-\

Honestly, the mental age of these people is petrifyingly low (i know, irony at me saying that!)

Seriously, when does this even BEGIN to look like a good idea?

They are just complete Degans, live different life styles from normal people. Huck seed, Ted forrest and Doyle Brunson have done some amazing/insane/ funny prop bets over the years, google it and you can find some funny stuff.

Thanks for this marty, great read.

Read it to the end, he"s a dick end of, sorry no other word for him and I hope he really feels bad. Doubt it though it"s the money he feels bad about.

+1

He writes so well, but just hasnt got the social sense or maturity to say lets stop this nonsense and lets it continue.

FWIW, 70 miles in 24 hours is pretty piss easy for anyone in good shape who runs a fair bit.

piss easy ay robbiebox?? wanna bet?

ive told quite a few people about this bet, some of them are extreemly fit runners and a Military PT instructor. They dont belive it can be done. But thats what people say about Phill Laak playing for 5 day straight.

The Guinness World record is 160 miles in 24 hours on a treadmill.

Given no hills, uneven terrain etc I would say this is possible for quite a few runners - just sayin.

Me I wouldn"t run 70 feet.......

What would these people say about Eddie Izzard ? 47yo with only 5 weeks training running 27 miles a day, 6 days a week for 7 weeks. Incredible feat imo.
