Title: Poker or Football?!
Post by: AVFC.WILSON on April 06, 2011, 23:50:37 PM
Uh-Oh! I"m in trouble..

Is an Aston Villa season ticket holder seriously going to have to miss a Villa home game for an APAT event in Newcastle?

Don"t answer this one. (I know it will only be abusive if you do)

I think my mind is already made up however - only thing stopping me is not being able to buy-in tomorrow.

Bring it on!

How you think I feel ?
My kids brought me a 50th Birthday present....a weekend away with the family in Cornwall.....The same weekend that we beat the Vile at The Shrine for the first time since Carl Valentine was playing for us......absolutely gutted to be missing this one on April 30th.

I suppose it"s only the Villa-Stoke game i"ll be missing, not the greatest highlight in the premier league calendar.
The only other game i missed this season was the Villa-Baggies match. "2-1 and even heskey scored" :)
Are you playing in Newcastle?

I"ll extend this thread slightly to "Poker or Sport" as am a season ticket holder and passionate fan of Northampton Saints and often get these APAT v Saints dilemmas. When APAT release a schedule the Saints fixtures are the first thing I look at and vice versa when the rugby fixtures are announced in the summer.

I find myself taking each case on it"s merits so for example the English Open in Bolton 2009 clashed with an uninspiring league game vs Sale so APAt wins however Vienna last year clashed with the premiership semi final and there"s no way I was missing that!!

Btw I understood nothing Brian said  ;)

That"s a fair point. If we carry on the way we are at the moment it won"t be long until were playing Wrexham.
Think tomorrow playing against Newcastle will be the decider of our season.
