The casino is offering transport to and from airports AND is opening an attached hotel in the next couple of months.

Nuremberg is the closest airport, Air Berlin from the UK

Casino will do transfers from there or Prague

Hotel completes in August, on site

casino itself holds 300 runner tournaments every weekend

Will be good fun!

Don"t book it yet, they need to confirm the hotel is ready for occupation first.

Lloret? absolutely no reason why not, I am sure it will be scheduled for another season

I may be going next weekend... in a $95 satellite, for a $450 package, on 888 this Sunday night, for 888 Costa Brava Festival.

Good luck me!  ;D

Ooh this is interesting!  Nice part of the world. FWIW Regensburg is a top night out, Nuremburg is not bad either.  Prague speaks for itself!

Have they given an indication towards the prices for the rooms yet?

Title: European Championship in Czech Republic
Post by: hairingtons on June 05, 2011, 19:34:50 PM
I know this might be a bit early, but nothing like planning ahead.

Will the European Championship event be open to all players? As in, I don"t have to be a proper European to play in it  ;) ?

Would have liked to come to the Nottingham event (The Worlds) but it falls on my girlfriends birthday and she hates poker so it"s just not gonna happen.

Prague however...now that sounds interesting.

Open to all amateur players, wherever they may be from.

Would expect a large interest from local players, based on our previous European jaunts.

Where else have you held games then? What type of numbers from the UK do you get travelling?

Please note however that this event will NOT be in Prague but rather at a hotel/casino some distance away (c.45 minute drive). There is a thread on it HERE (http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=8641.0)

I don"t want to put you off...just manage your expectations.
