Was wondering the same. Am planning to go to the Birmingham Broadway tonight, but this looks like a great game with 5000 chips and 15 min bilnds..... but only worth staying in for if there is some value over and above standard payout (qualify to a National for example)

....and medals for the top three and Ranking points towards the player of the year prize of an expenses paid entry to the GUKPT grand final worth around $8k, so there is a good deal to play for.

Oh dear, we seem to have someone at my table, namely, EMSjordie222 who is freely dispensing "advice" to all the other players at the table. Funnily enough, he has less chips than everyone else.........

Oh dear. King high flop with me holding Ace/King, called shove, other guy has 10/j and hits a runner/runner straight for a 19000+ pot. Sometimes this game sucks

Kinboshi limps UTG.  I have  jh js in mid position and decide to just call.  HiamChris raises behind me, and Kinboshi goes all-in.   I decide to fold.

Flop  8d  jc  5d  jd  7d

Sometimes i really hate this game.

Hi Micky.

After borrowing Stuarts (SirPercival) book, she was impressed with what it said, even though she was actually doing a lot of what was written down - hence her 3 of 6 money wins.

She decided she wanted the set. She did promise to loan them to me though, although I think there was some condition set.......something about me being good.....  :D

Guys

I have been observing the inapproproate chat between two players after it was reported to me

I cannot post a warning on the game if not playing, but rest assured APAT will take appropriate action after the event

Thank you, and gl all left in

Just a shame about the two idiots having a go at each other. >:( It spoiled an otherwise good game.

Damn, I wish you"d said that before i left for Birmingham. just got home having crashed out early. To think, I could have stayed home in the warm, played a decent tourney, and stayed in the wife"s good books. Instead, i blew £33 on a tourney that only lasted 50 minutes for me, and then a further £50 on roulette, and will have to spend the next week making it up to the missus for leaving her on her own on a Saturday night.  Oh well, that"s poker i suppose (at least I crashed out holding a full house anyway)

Well played everyone. Enjoyed the battle for silver with George but happy with bronze in my first tourney. Don"t think either of us could do much about that big stack.

How do you get hold of the medals? Are they just sent out? Always wanted a card protector  :)

Great game tonight guys.

It was my first game of this season as I had troubles trying to deposit through the cashier in the poker client before event 1 and I didn"t think of logging onto the online site and depositing there until today..doh!

Anyway I made the Final Table and went out in 8th with AQ vs the AK of the MONSTER stack! I was trying to avoid going against him but thought my hand would be good enough.  :)

Anyway now I"m up and running I look forward to seeing you guys at the next one.

Well done to all that cashed.I was disappointed  while watching, the c##p going on in the chat box. This is not what APAT is all about. It was so bad i nearly lowered myself to actually reply.

Well I was the monster stack! I now have 3 gold medals.  The card rush I had was pretty incredible.

I also saw the power of being chip leader, as I could play and call (and win)with more marginal hands than I would normally feel comfortable with.

I"m not sure I hit more 2 or 3 outers than anyone else, and I saw some pretty amazing back door straights (I did get a couple myself). Not many flushes seen all night.

And I apologise to the pair of aces and the pair of 9s I knocked out with A3s - getting trip 3s was nasty.
