Good luck to all APATers, even Curlarge.......... Run good guys
-
Just home from Brighton. Played the live sat - 76 entries, 10 seats + £250 for 11th. Chipped up to nearly double the average at the break, when there were 30 left. Then got a horrific run of cards and only played 3 hands post-break to struggle over the line for a seat. It sure is stressful playing like that - trying to fold to a seat instead of playing your normal game. Anyway, I got one so I"ll be there on Friday too.
Brag alert - it was quite a good day cos I cashed 4/5055 on PS for $288 in a $1.35 tournament that finished just before we headed to Brighton. 1st place got >$700 and I thought I might win the whole UKIPT buyin cos when the FT started I was CL with double what second place had, 3.9m v 1.9m out of 15m total, but I blew it.

Good luck to all Apaters taking part, with the talent assembled here I have a good feeling about this tournament from an Apat point of view, certainly got some of our best players in this and plenty of them too.

Unfortunately despite lots of effort I haven"t managed to sat a seat :( so I"m going to pop over and cheer all the apat"ers on, as it"s fairly local to me.
Looking forward to the railing and hope to be cheering some of you on to Day 2 ;D
See you guys tomorrow.

I like Brighton - one of the nicest cities in the country.

Horrific day, busted midway through level 5. Don"t think anyone missed a draw against me all tournament! Never got going as a result, with a 22BB stack I 3-bet 99 from the SB vs the Button open and lose the resultant flip v AQ.
-
Good luck to all APATers and friends of APAT who have made it through to day 2 of the UKIPT in Brighton

It"s Glenn"s nephew (Glenn taught him nothing thank god ;D )
-
Just did a quick orbit around the tables and it struck me that apat is really well represented on day 2 of this event. Great proof of the quality of apat imo.
Yeah danny is my nephew. I taught him to only raise with aa kk or ak sooted. Fortunately he seems to have moved on a fair bit from there.
Glglgl to all of those apaters left in.
-

LOL, you"re doing a grand job Glenn. This seems to be the quickest place for updates.
Good luck to the rest of the guys still in. Has George used his "one time" yet ?
-
They could really do with an "At-A-Glance" thread. Hmmmmmmm............
Dear Mr Pokerstars..............
-
Scouse jammed 10 j sooted into queens. 89 Gave him hope but no joy. Apparently his plan is too meet up with owston. Watch out brighton!
-
Ok here we go. One time. Geore raoses called by david lloyd. Flop q 7 2 i think. George bets gets raised george betts 100k david all in.
George smiles and turns over 23. david has aq.
Turn blank
river 2! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So yes lee he has just used it big time. Lollllll
david is a nice guy terrible beat for him but george is george and hes a fearless player. Hes massive now.
-
Break.
Not for the players but for me. Need a ciggy its all too much!!!
70 Left.
-
On my way out lot of noise from dannys tale. A bloke had gone all in with 99 v dannys aces. 9 On the flop noooooooo.
Ace in your face on the river
dan has plenty at the moment. So pleased his hand held. Cmooon dan.
-
64 Left. George n danny fine young rudders looks like hes lost a few.
Bad news is my batterys really low on my phone. Will keep going for as long as i can
"all in and call" being announced every couple of minutes.
-
Great updates Glenn, thanks ;D
-
Danny just dropped 100k ak v pocket pair but hes still on 150 or so. Young rudders looks to be on about 90ish. George just has a mountain of chips!
60 Left blinds up 2000/4000/400 dinner break at end of this 1 hour level.
-
The official updater just asked george for his stack size couldnt hear the discussion. Im gonna guess at 300k. Let me know if i was even close!
-
Cheers Glen. GL To Young David and bad luck to all the boys that have gone......Well played. :)
-
I was going to say Good Luck to George, hopefully he won"t need it though............... C"mon Bedi!!!!!!
-
55 Left.
-
Poker is taking place in a private toom at a hotel. All very good but im not too happy as the only beer on drart is becks vier. Its ok but i would prefer a guinness. The 300 side event has just started 132 entries so far
-
i echo all the good reports on young rudders. He is deffo one to watch. He had a tough starting table yesterday and he knows how to build a stack.
-
Exits have slowed now after the short stacks who made the money tried to double up. Not much happening were down to 53. my phone is flashing so the end is near frpm me.
-
Rudders jnr all in and call aq v aq chop it dealer
-
Danny george and young r are all wearing grey hoodies. Maybe theres something in that?
-
Had my phone on charge for half an hour. 38 Minutes left at 2500/5000/500 danny was down to 80k at the breal but hes still there. So too are george and rudders jnr id say the latter is on about 80k too. 47 Remain.
-
Gearges table has just broken. Pity those on table 2 lol
-
Paul zimbler now on rudders table. Also noticed jen mason is still in.
-
42 Left our 3 intrepid heroes are still there. Im gonna have a glass of red wine.
-
Theres a character here who i think is a gutshot regular. Hes a good laugh and just came storming over having been knocked out. "I raised utg with 69 big blind calls flop 7 8 10. he bets i shove hes got bloody jack 9 innit"
so i guess were down to 41!
-
Blinds up 3000/6000/600 i think this level will see quite a few exits.
-
The ante is 500 not 600.
George cruising he just won a small pot reraising a cut off raise from the button. I reckon he could have had junk there it looked a good situation for the reraise.
-
Great updates Glenn.
Would be amazing to get any of them on the final table.
-
Every time the blinds go up they play a song "everybodys shuffling do do do do do do do do do do" one table all stood up on their chairs to have a quick bop earlier. Poker players eh!
-
Were down to 33 players.
£6.50 For a glass of wine. Back on the pints at that price.
-
haha. Amazing. Good updates keep them comming.
-
Young rudders has definitely doubled up but i missed the action. Id say hes got 200k now.
-
Zimbler is out at a guess id say rudders got him.
-
Danny has just busted not sure what happened. 31St it looks like. Another great effort - he won the 300 side event at newcastle so hes on a good streak. Wp mate.
-
"A man opened i had jq suited i shoved he had ak.." stack size forced the move i think.
-
George is out. Thought this was going to be it. UL G2L :( VWP on deep run though, sounds like you kept everyone entertained.

11.10pm: Ferguson felts Bedi
It"s fair to say that die hard Man Utd fan Rupinder Bedi"s favourite Alex Feguson is still the Red Devils manager, for the Alex Ferguson in this tournament just felted him.
It was a blind on blind battle, Bedi made it 14,000 from the small, Ferguson made it 41,000 from the big, Bedi 4-bet to 101,000, Ferguson moved all-in for around 360,000 and Bedi called. On their backs:
Bedi: J?J?
Ferguson: A?Q?
The flop of 4?T?A? gave Ferguson the lead and the 9? turn and Q? river left Bedi with less than 20,000.
George exited shortly after.
-
Wow missed that was talking to danny. Ul goerge now come on fudders.
-
20 Minute break looks like 200k in rudders stack. My battery is getting low again and might go for a beer with danny. Thank you for following bigfellas live update i quite enjoyed it today!
-
Thanks for all the updates Glenn - much appreciated. Enjoy your beer :)
-
Just spoke to rudders senior apparently his stack is over 350k and in top 10. glglgl
-
When you cash you have to go to the grosvenor casino to collect your winnings. Dannys wandered down there with a friend to collect. I declined the stroll its too windy outside so im still here. We have 28 left blinds 4000/8000/500. average is 347k.
