Post by: Paulie_D on July 16, 2011, 12:48:28 PM
Quick Travel Tip:

Got an AMEX card? See this link..[HERE (http://www.greenroom.co.uk/amex35?cm_mmc=partnership-_-exclusive-_-35-_-amex35)]...select the 2 for 1 option for "Nottingham"...I got £38.50 a night at the HI Castle Marina (Sat & Sun).

No points earned though.

Also, using the other option I got £48 (down from £57) for Friday alone.

Anyone looking for a cheap B&B I am using the Hylands which is at Beeston about 2.5 miles from DTD. Stayed there last year all good, 4 nights with full english less than £120.  ;D   http://www.hylandshotel.co.uk/hotel_beeston.php

Just booked Rutland Sq hotel for £44/night.  Seemed like a good deal at this short notice.  Anyone stayed there b4 and know how handy it is to DTD, and also if its decent?

don"t know anything about the hotel but had a look at where the hotel is, you can get the bus to DTD from down the road, it"s a 5 ish min walk to the bus stop and a 10 min walk when you get off.

Well yeah, but ya know me accent goes a bit wonky.  When taxi drivers hear wonky accent they reckon extra bucks to be made.

The "Best Available" rate is currently slightly cheaper than this at £38 Sat & Sun, and points will be earned.

Just thought I would let you know that if anyone is turning up for the Stud event on 25th and has nowhere to leave their bags etc then pm me as I am staying at the Wollaton Travelodge on 24th as well as the other 5 nights. No renumeration would be required but Guinness or Cider always works. Only 17 more sleeps  ;D
