Any one think the structures a bit too long?

That depends what you"re looking for.

They give a cheap deep stack, slow structure.

You can have hours of entertainment, and even if you don"t cash you"ll have got it very cheaply.

The other side is that you will have a proportionately lower hourly earning rate if you do cash - but if you wanted to be earning more money, more quickly then wouldn"t a turbo probably be more appropriate than a deep stack.

That depends on whether you are a poker player or a bingo player.  Deep stack games are more often than not won by the better player, whereas regular stack turbo games can be won by anyone in a couple of big hands.

Yes.  I made the mistake of playing one once.  Never again.

Agree, but finding 10 hours+ to play one of these is an issue for me and a lot of players. Does that make me a bingo player?

eyes down!

I might consider playing one of the pokerstars deepstacks if it was one of the bigger buy-in affairs.  I played a $20 or $30 one once (can"t remember what buy-in they are now, but it wasn"t a lot), and after about 2 weeks of grinding, I was in the money - but still 4 hours away from the final table (where the proper money is).

No way was I going to grind it out with a mediocre stack, so instead I decided it was glory or bust.  If I was going to be playing for another few hours, I would have a decent stack.  Of course, it didn"t work and I busted out, but at least I got some sleep that night.

As I suggested, if you"re looking at your earnings per hour then they"re not a good idea.

If you just want to play, then they"re perfect.

On the other hand though, you can play another 5 or 6 tournaments at the same time this one"s running.  So it"s not like you"re lessening your potential earnings per hour by playing one of these as well.

i played the ten dollar one yesterday and just found it too long, i played really good poker and never had my money in bad till the hand i lost 110 k in chips on with 47 left lol i understand that better players will go further but i just find for an online tournament they are too long. Would be happier with same startin stack and maybe twenty minute blinds, wouldnt change it much but maybe slightly better for an online game
