After some very serious thoughts, I would like to state my intentions to resign from the role of Captain after this series of games.
I have taken on the role with pride and passion for the last 3 years and feel it is only right the some-one else from within the club as the same honour in taking over.
We started in Division 3, with a few regulars and with the help of everyone, have grown both in numbers and statue during the past few seasons.
I loved every moment of it, and I believe the best is yet to come this season and in future events. Even I scored points last time out!! :o
The club is great and i love that we all rail each other in tournaments all over and at live events. I have had the privelage in meeting some of you at live events and very much hope to met again at the worlds and beyond. Without meaning to be disrespectful to others clubs I truley think we have the best bunch ever, who have all to a man and women bought into the club of many levels....despite us all living miles away of course! :P
I have chosen now to give others some time to think on whether the would like to take up the role, and so the club has a smooth change in the APAT break so we are all ready for S6. I have always hated in football when a club gets rid of a manager in the summer, giving the in-coming manager little time to prepare!...So my thinking is along those lines - sort of! ::)
:"( It is sad for me personally, but I think it"s time and the right thing to do.
CARPE DIEM...and put your name forward!
Cheers, Warren.

Big shoes to fill.
Can I be the first to say thank you to Warren for all his efforts as Luton Captain. He has helped achieve great things for the club and put them in a fantastic position for whoever decides to take up the reigns.

We started in Division 3 because, before you were captain, there were only 2 or 3 regular players. The time and enthusiasm you have put into the post of Luton Captain has made a massive difference. Not only trying to get people interested in the games, but then railing all of your players every single game.
A big thank you for all the effort you have put in. You are a credit to the whole of APAT.
Cheers Captain Waz!! Look forward to catching up with you in Nottingham.

You"ve done a fantastic job Waz and you"ve been an inspiration on the captaincy front. To quote scjn01 you definitely have been a credit to the whole of APAT and it was a pleasure to share some time with you at the home internationals in Newcastle. Look forward to buying you a beer at DTD if you"re going. Good luck to team Luton and to whoever takes over the role you have a fantastic team and base to go on.
-
Thank-you for the kind words from all. :) To also have ones from non-lutonions is very nice too if i"m honest.

I would like to say "Very well done Waz", If the new incoming skipper can put in just 10% as much energy as you have done, they will be doing twice as much as I can manage for the Kent team ::) having said that you did go above and beyond the call of duty and if the awards are being done again any time soon I am sure you will be top of the nominations.
Your captaincy will deffo be missed by your team-mates but I"m sure your skillz have rubbed off on whoever comes in
Well played Waz

First of all my deepest respect and thank you to Warren for his engagement for our great LPC and also the whole APAT community. If we need him for support, motivation and organisation he was alyways there and from my own experience of working honorary I know what he did for us last years. To accomplish such a performance needs a big passion and great personality too. Never forget, for sure he has invested a lot of time for all of us at the expense of his family. So my personal thank you to his wife and kids too !
All in all it shows what a great sportsmen he is and his professionalism. The good thing will be, he"s not away and still a valued player in season 6.;)
So looking forward and try to make him proud with a perfect present as the winner of Div 1 this season.
Well done Warren !
