Title: Casino Dress Code
Post by: pokertunities on January 01, 2008, 21:20:53 PM
Hi all

Silly question probably, but are there set casino dress codes where the national championships are held?
Cheers
AJ

no set rules. each casino is different. best to ring up the casino to find out. Having said that there will be a player briefing soon and that normally details the dress code.

Generally it"s common sense stuff - no ripped jeans, trainers, hoodies etc.

This kind of info is normally in the briefing issued prior to the event, which should be posted on this forum within the next 7 days.

If you can"t wait, then you could always search the forum for a briefing to a previous National event, this will at least give you some idea. Apologies that I haven"t posted a link here.

Clean and tidy dress is strongly recommended.  No football tops, but jeans and trainers are fine!

Quick question, I"m a relitivly "dress down" poker player, i know that we can wear jeans and trainers, assuming T-shirts with it, but are we aloud headphones? I mean, THE BIG HEADPHONES!! DJ ones??

Large headphones should be fine, but if you were thinking of bringing a mixing desk, I"d attach it to a chain around your neck....that way you can get it through as poker "bling".

But don"t expect any sympathy if you didn"t hear someone"s bet and call from the small blind thinking you"re just making up the BB when actually someone has shoved all-in on the other side of the table...
