At the moment a £25 PLO is booked in, confirmed with the venue. Even if this changes (APATs choice) there will definitely be a side event on Day 2

Please reserve me a seat! Joe Carr-Hill.

I"m away until the 23rd December - will I be able to buy-in directly online then now that I"ve reserved a seat?

Also, although I live in Brighton and have been looking forward to APAT coming to the Rendezvous, I have also, like a twat, double-booked and am meant to be at a lunch in London. Assuming a 2.30pm start at the Rendezvous, and assuming I"ve already paid for the seat, how late can I arrive and still take my seat. Is 3.30pm still OK?

Thanks!

How are numbers looking for this Des/Rich? My name"s Grant and I"m an Apatholic so if there"s any possibility I can make it to Brighton then I"ll be there (or I"ll need some serious counselling and a 12 step plan). Will you get to a point where the seats may possibly sell out before the 888 buy-in?

In answer to the question this is going to sell out massively early

Safest bet is to satellite qualify or buy in, it could be that direct buy ins will sell this out

Satellite and direct buy ins obviously get precedence over this seat list as stated

"Seats will be allocated initially via the satellites and direct buy in route; and thereafter in order of reservation below.  Reserved seats will need to be paid for directly to the cash desk of the Rendezvous before play commences on January 21."

Hmmmm, currently being in the USA (Land of the fecking Free) - 888 will not allow me to deposit - and I presume the same will be the case for registration.

Sigh, I guess there are no bright ideas out there? I would buy-in direct if I could, but don"t have sufficient funds on 888.

Have submitted the question to their support in hope rather than expectation, but if an 888 rep were to read this and assist. Well who knows?  :-\

I see an attempt at a reschedule of the payout in tonites Brighton sat.

After paying 3 seats there is £110 remaining which was strangely paid out as...

4th- £55
5th- £33
6th- £22

seems a really wierd payout structure?

They were just discussing that on the table. It"s in USD though so it makes under the price of another seat... just.

Payout structure makes no sense if you had 49 runners would you pay 4 seats then spilt the remaining $10 between 5th 6th and 7th I am sure they would be impressed to play for 3 hours to get half their buy in back at best if we say it"s $5 $3 $2 for those places.

It closed earlier today.  There are still some seats left but these will go via the reserve list.  We should have the player list from 888 tomorrow and will update the reserve list then.  Shout if you want on it.

There are circa 50 seats that will be allocated to reserves, so if you"re in the top 50 in order on the reserve list your seat is assured.  When we receive the final list from 888 we will update both the bought in and reserved lists.

Cheers.

Hi Des,

Have brought in today.. Was wondering if 888 was running any more sats in the next few weeks?

Obv now Curly and Mathews have luck boxed  seats in their sats, the luck element gives way to skill and gives the rest of us not so " lucky" but obv more skill full players their chances  :D .

LOL thanks for the support Carl!!!

Not so unexpected. It"s been obvious for ages that this would be the fastest-selling event of the year, sold out with numerous reserves a month before it takes place. Quite a contrast to the Northern tournaments.

Yes, not a problem at all. But you will most probably need to join the casino so bring some id.

Hi,

I"m on the list of people to buy-in at the venue before 2pm but I have an appointment in Southampton at 1130 meaning I can"t guarantee to be there before 2.  Anyone know if I"ll be able to ring the venue and pay on the phone if needed?

Thanks

"BUFFET

There will not be a buffet for players at this event. The venue has both a restaurant and a bar menu to order from throughout the day"

Will there be a decent length dinner break so that those of us who need to go and check into their hotels can go and check into their hotels? And maybe seek alternative food sources too if those at the venue are not acceptable?

For clarification

The reserve list on here will close at 6pm Friday. After that point we cannot guarantee to see the thread to make changes as we"ll be travelling to the South Coast

At that point, if you are not on the reserved seats list then the method of getting into the event transfers to the Alternates list, the reserve list will be cancelled

This will form from midday Saturday at the venue (see myself or Des in the cardroom). First come first served onto the list, and then into the tournament as people are knocked out in the first two levels

Missus not been well at all all week, so was touch and go.  Although she is now back at work, having given it some thought be rather wrong of me to go away for the weekend straight away

good luck to all, esp Lisa Strong

It looks like I might be running late on Saturday (even though I live in Brighton - a long story!). Is it OK to turn up at 3.30pm and take my seat, with fewer chips, obviously, after the loss of a few rounds of blinds.

Thanks!
