Title: 6 Nations Discussion and Guinness Fantasy League
Post by: Chipaccrual on January 18, 2012, 14:27:14 PM
I"ve setup a mini league for the Guinness Fantasy Rugby Competition.

You can find all the details -here (http://fantasyrugby.guinness.com)

The mini league is called "APAT 6 Nations" and the password is "apatmember"

There are unlimited trasnfers up until the first matches, so no harm in getting a team registered.

There are prizes up for grabs through Guinness, such as a years supply of the black stuff, but I will also arrange some sort of prize for the winner of our mini league.

If you need any further info, feel free to discuss on this thread.

The winner of the APAT Mini League will receive a crate of 24 Guinness (likely have to ship the cash for this one, unless I just buy you pints at the next live event), plus some Guinness and APAT merchandise.

Maybe just me  but i think Scotland are a cracking bet at 11/8 in the calcutta cup clash today. Although beaten by england in the world cup, they were the better team for 60 minutes and if they had finished off their chances would have won.Home advantage against a some what inexperienced team ,has to be Scotland for me.

21 in so far.  Unlimited changes ends at 11am this morning, but you can still enter a team after that.

Remember it"s free to enter, and the winner of the APAT league will win a case of Guinness and some Guinness and APAT merchandise.

Good luck everyone.

Completely agree with that Micky.  First time for ages, the media seem to be playing down England"s chances.  On the BBC news this morning they were claiming that Scotland must be the favourites for the game due to the inexperience of the England team, but the bookies don"t seem to agree with that.

On Betfair, you can get 2.4 (7/5) on Scotland, with England at 1.84 (5/6)

If you really want to go patriotic, how about Scotland to win -7.5pts in the handicap at 3/1 ?

Shocking state of affairs in Paris, game postponed only 5 minutes before the kick off because some areas of the pitch are frozen. It"s not like the poor weather and low temp has been an overnight thing, so why not call off the game much earlier and give people the chance to avoid the travel costs etc. >:(

Defo got to start with Dickson, where has Young"s zip gone? Morgan at 8, Barritt has done really well in defence, but offers nothing in attack, so Manu is the obv choice. But as Leigh says, I don"t think it matters who we pick the Welsh are so hot at the moment, still we can always hope.

I am 31 points behind the leader so it will be difficult to win it outright - but stranger things have happened and the years supply of Guinness could be coming our way...
