Title: Kentucky Oaks/Derby 2012
Post by: CincinnatiKid on May 05, 2012, 11:06:46 AM
Had a nice performance yesterday when I"d bet 3 winner in a row Stephanie"s Kitten, Succesful Dan and Silver Max. 4th race my favorite horse for the Kentucky Oaks Broadway"s Alibi finished 2nd. :(

Today morning Mawingo, german bred finished 3rd in Gr2 Hollindale Stakes / Gold Coast (AUS). Hopefully I"ll continue my betting performance on todays Kentucky Derby. Still unsure which horse will be my bet. I think it"s a very competive and open race, more than last years I think.

Which horse will you bet tonight?

Union Rags & Went The Day Well

Union Rags - his turn of foot now tackling 10f might be the key, not a brilliant price but worth a punt..

Went The Day Well - last month"s run at Turfway Park when winning the Spiral with a turn of foot caught the eye.. i like to see a turn of foot, coming off the final bend at CHD"s its a necessity imo..

Difficult to find the right bet, but decided to bet my first thought DULLAHAN. Another small WPS on I"ll have Another and 40/1 Trinniberg. Great TV show from NBC http://www.stream2watch.me/live-tv/nbc-live-stream

What a race. A bit upset, needed my Derby pick at 2nd for my exacta but proud to pick 2 of Top 3 finishers. Amazing finish!

Went The Day Well finished best of all, just to far back tactically to pinch it, but thats with hindsight.. not many expected Bodemeister to sustain those fractions, well i didn"t anyhows :)

i hope u made a wee bit out of I"ll have Another Achim, 2more to go for the triple crown :)

Yes, bet both WPS but I"ll Have Another smaller than my Derby Pick Dullahan. Lose my $2 exacta by a nk, unlucky. Had also my doubts, a couple of horses love to run in front like Bodemeister, but we know Mike Smith love the rail and knows this race and course better than any other, great jockeyship, great horse and a great result as 2nd for trainer Bob Baffert, who was fighting for his  life weeks ago. All in all two fantastic Derbydays, love US-Racing very much. Cant wait for the Breeders Cup.;)
