I"m thinking about doing the FA Cup - From start to Finish.
Extra Preliminary Draw has been made to be played on the 11th August. Containing 200 Ties. Randomly choose a team, tie, or select my nearest team, then follow the winner from there onwards.
Preliminary Round Saturday 25 August 2012
First Round Qualifying Saturday 8 September 2012
Second Round Qualifying Saturday 22 September 2012
Third Round Qualifying Saturday 6 October 2012
Fourth Round Qualifying Saturday 20 October 2012
First Round Proper Saturday 3 November 2012
Second Round Proper Saturday 1 December 2012
Third Round Proper Saturday 5 January 2013
Fourth Round Proper Saturday 26 January 2013
Fifth Round Proper Saturday 16 February 2013
Sixth Round Proper Saturday 9 March 2013
Semi Final Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 April 2013
Final Saturday 11 May 2013
Challenge will be Tickets obviously in the later rounds, but bit of willpower/luck sure its done done plenty of times before.
Any experience here?.Any pitfalls I"ve not thought about?

I have read a book from the late seventies about Tiverton FC... Very good and I know a few lads who have done the whole trip from Prelim to Final. It"s easy at the start as it only costs a few pounds but when it gets to the "big clubs" they couldn"t give two ****s about what you are trying to do...
I"m going to try again this year with one of these three..... Formby, Bootle or AFC Liverpool........

i had a brilliant time doing this last year & if you write a blog a lot of the Championship, League 1 & 2 clubs will let you in as press! lol who knew??? the non league sides will as well if you ask but i didn"t mind paying them the money, they need it ;)
i"m doing all 3 this year, FA Vase, Trophy & Cup - 34 games incl. 3 Wembley finals ;D starting with the Cup on the 11th. AFC Blacpool v AFC Liverpool & i"m off to Rhyl FC v FC United M/cr this Sat. (14th) for a bit of a warm up ;D

I love the idea Waz, and wish you luck with it, only pitfalls I can see apart from the availability of tickets in the latter stages is that some of the dates clash with Apat weekends :o

Bootle 4 v 1 Alsager Town
Daisly Hill 0 v 5 Formby Town
Wish I had managed to get to one of them now as a load of goals scored in each of them....
Mossley AFC v Bootle
AFC Liverpool v Prescot Cables... Both these clubs share the same ground
Formby v Skelmersdale United
Difficult games for all three of my selections but at least two of them are home ties...
