My name is David Blacklaw -(ForthThistle)  Long time poster on APAT and can have a few vouch for me if required.
Been playing poker for around 6.5 years but never anything bigger than the usual £100 local casino with the odd shot at a bigger buy in. Any shots i have taken have been decent with my first stake on Blonde poker http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=55111.0 got my backor George2Loose on APAT as well a 812% return on his money. We also made day 2 of the UKIPT Edinburgh finishing a credible 70th after losing a flip for 70% of my Stack. (After winning a seat at the Live Sat).  Have been playing the APAT tour and had a couple of decent scores.
Last APAT Stake = http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=11600.0

Had some Online success:
http://www.apat.com/index.php/2010/12/12/david-blacklaw-wins-apat-southern-european-online-poker-title/
Represented Blonde Poker in the recent APAT Team Championships.
Finished 5th in APAT Scotland Champions in Aberdeen.
Helped Blonde with the updates at GUKPT Blackpool.
Played the SPT in Glasgow last year and finished 15th sigh...
Played the SPT in Glasgow March 2012 and finished 12th even bigger Sigh.
Inaugural Blonde Monthly Take on Tikay Winner February 2011.
Our Last stake on APAT got us our money back but were gonna blow that and ship the lot!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Hendon Mob detail is here: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a

1% of any winning"s will be given back to APAT as per the agreement. This will come from my 75%. (Help me if this is wrong.)

i Play under the alias of 4ththistle on STARS.
Can take stars but would prefer Bank Transfer for obvious reasons if this suits investors.
This my 3rd shot at an APAT Stake and gonna ship the world.

Would love to play these and will play regardless.

List of Stakers:

Suzanne = 5%

Never stayed at Ballys...but £388 seems like a lot...that"s $500...for how long?

Re: $20 trick, also never tried it (I"m a puzzy) but I hear its had good success rates at Ballys*.

*Usually for upgrades from the S.Tower to the n.Tower but i see you are already in there.

The $20 trick (you can google it) is...basically

Quote

When you check into a hotel you simply slip the front desk clerk a $20 bill with your credit card/ID, while asking "Do you have any complimentary upgrades available?".

The general rule of thumb is that the front desk clerk will check for upgrades and if they cannot find anything they will return the $20 tip, making it risk free!

Back Home with no Cigar.. Sigh.

only played the Ceasers Event and a Rebuy but Finished 38th of 154.
Didn"t play the Venetian event as i was knackered and felt i would be letting people down not being able to play my best.

Will ship the refunds back over the next few days and will also complete a full report.

Thanks.

Okay. Sorry for the delay.

We Turn up at Ceasers around 40 minutes before the start and Registar for the $240 + 1 Add on and im No 11. (WTF). We hang about and get some Red Bull and sit down at Noon with another 5 Players, and the entries has grown to 72. (wiiiiiiii). First Hand we get KK in the BB and 2 limpers we raise and ofc they call flop comes QJ4 r and we bet just under half pot and get no takers. Sigh.

We continue to get decent hands quickly get to 19.3K from the 15K starting stack without any real showdowns and feel im controlling the table. We then get a Las Vegas Reg moved to our table as he continously talks to the dealer. We find AA in early postion and raise the normal 2.3 x the BB and get called by the LV Reg in the BB. Flop comes Kc5d2c and he open ships 14K into a pot of 1500???? Can he really be shoving a set here? is it AK. 34?? it actually put him on KQ and called and see him flip 55 was awful. No miracle and we are left with 4.8K and 10BB"s.

We get AQ and ship the 10BB"s and get called by 88 and the lovely AQ4 flop doubles us up. Now 10.2K and we see someone limp who has not played many hands and we look down at JJ and raise and BB calls as well as initial Caller. Flop comes J76r and its party time. BB first to act Leads out and EP ships for 20K YIPPPPPEEEEEEEE and i shake my head and pass my chips over the line. BB snaps and flips 66 EP show AA and i flip JJ. No miracles and we have over 30K.

Then lose KK v AA AIPF for a 60K Pot after i raised to 2.5x BB and he open ships with AA. (They Play differently in Vegas) and we go and buy in for the Add on.

Move to another table and proceed to be so card dead its scary. can"t even get spots to steal and we raise with AQdd in the cutoff and SB and BB call as they have monster stacks. Flop comes As6d2c and its checked to me and we bet just over half the pot and get called by both. Turn bring"s the 4d and again checked to me and i bet half pot and BB ships and we are getting 3/1 our money with TP NFD and this takes us to about avg stack with 40 left. we call and see 3d5d turned over and we need a dddddddddddddddddddddddddd to win. sigh we brick and leave in 38th position. Lovely $8.2K to the winner but not to be.

We were meant to be playing the Venetian on the sunday buit woke up feeling tired and felt it would be unfair to play on a stake and decided to fade.

So i am due the following refunds from the $200 that we didn"t play :

George2Loose = 10% = $20
Suzanne = 5%  = $10
Phil TC = 2.5% = $5
mylesfdo = 2.5% = $5
Sharplea = 5% = $10

Will send back as per the method i received today.

Many Thanks for the chance to play these.

We get the lot SOOOOOOOON.
