I can"t wait for this. It has been a long time coming. I hate getting home from the pub or casino, and I have to get a shower before I go to bed, and this is because the smell of smoke.
Will this get more people into the casino"s to play poker or stop people going? I hope it is the former. The more people playing poker in casino"s can only be good for poker.

Im a smoker but the ban has been here in scotland for over a year now.It hasnt put me off going to a casino.The only thing for us smokers is we seem to sit out a lot of hands and run out side for a smoke.Saying that i agree that other people should not be subjected to passive smoking.
Remember me I MUST GIVE UP SMOKING.

same as people going to pubs - doesnt stop anyone going - just as many people go out, just means you got alot of people standing outside. im an ex smoker and it was a reason that i stopped but its done wonders in scotland....apart from the smell of b.o in pubs and clubs its good

As a smoker, I have to welcome this.
Even I can see that it"s a disgusting habit that impacts on others around me.
I will be trying my best to give up very shortly (got some stressful work about to start in my house so now is not quite the right time) which should also please Caz.

Just got back from 6 hours playing poker in the local and just smelt my shirt and it"s as fresh as a daisy. I could (but won"t!) wear it again.
Won £30 as well ;D
One interesting thing to report though - there were a lot of arguments going on in the pub (not around the poker table) - is nicotine a sedative? Everyone seemed to be "going off on one".

I"m a smoker & have been for 25 years plus......I"m not proud of that fact but it"s just how it is! A friend and I callculated how much money we"d spent on Cig"s & lets just say it scared the crap out of me.....had I put the money to one side I could walk in to the Ferrari showroom and just walk out with the keys for the car of my dreams (having paid the man!) and still have funds over to play most of the WSOP events this year!
Having spent 14 years in the forces.....I now hate been told what I can & can"t do......but have to say that the smoking ban can only be a good thing!
I have set a new target date for giving the blasted things up....23rd of July...after my hols.....don"t think I"ll have enough life left in me to save for the Ferrari through giving up.............
A BIG Poker win it will have to be then ;D
