Based on your tipping, I am now worried about using any of your German translations this weekend. Who knows where I might end up. ;D

Well hello everyone and welcome to Austria!
This is TightEnd, overcoming technological hardship and forgotten passwords to temporarily post on The Duke"s account.
Its been an interesting weekend already. Delayed from Heathrow we arrived in a deserted town 30km south of Vienna at 1am. Half an hour later we"re still trying to get a hotel room key via the automated system
Interesting scenario at the airport too. Met by a pre-booked taxi we say hello to the driver and he says "English, ja?"
Answering in the affirmative he then said"David Beckham"
So i have to respond
I managed "Hans Krankl, Thomas Hitzselsperger"
and was met by a grin and a nod
but try as I might I could not think of any more famous Austrian footballers
So thats you first challenge..non-Googling or else Uncle Tighty will put you in detention
famous Austrian footballers please!!!

The Poker Royale casino here is huge, maybe 80 tables
On an industrial estate its un pre-possessing from the outside, being a big black rectangular shed type construction
Inside though its like DTD"s less tasteful cousin...black and red colour scheme, like--I would imagine--a bordello in South America
Huge leather sofas, lots of fake pot plants, low lighting and plenty of eye candy
If I get distracted, you"ll have to excuse me
Tighty

Jack Prime had jd :2d: in the blinds, unraised and hit 4d :3d: 8d flop
He checked, bet of 800, raise to 1800 Jack pushes for 8450
800 better calls all in, reraiser passes 4s :3s:

Assorted dinner break tales of delight and woe
terry Aylward is OUT pushed with QQ called by 99. Flop 9KK
Paullie D is OUT AK raise, flop AJJ. BB had called with J9 off and pushed the flop
Linda Iwaniuk 30,000
Phil Tomkinson from Middlesboro 30,000
Simon Aukland 15,000 and a rueful look of a man taking a setback or two
Leigh Wiltshire 15,000
Tim Magnus 8,500
Don Roberts 35,000 helped by having a royal flush, paid by his opponent also holding a flush
Duke 21,000 having been down to 4,500 then tripled up with AK
Gareth Ower 12,500
technolog 12,500
constant refrain
"these Austrian players just will not let go of a hand!!"
to quote the Duke
"I am shaking like a leaf on my table. I raise, get four callers, c-bet the flop, get three players calling and then go from there. My chip-stack is a rollercoaster"

4 tables left with 2 levels to play tonight
2000-4000 blinds
Simon Auckland has 45,000 "blinded away the last level"
Jeldon Fernandes 32,000
Gareth Ower is down to 45,000
"I just lost a 60,000 pot 3way. Up against QQ and 99"
"What did you have?" I enquired menacingly
"Something!" He replied evasively
Turning the screw, I pushed the fish further
"Well I raised to 9,000 with KJ. The SB pushed for 20,000 as did the BB so I had to call 11,000 to win over 50,000. I was priced in"
and so he was,he rivered the Jack but the Queens tripled up

Gareth Ower has just gone out..big blinds and a static stack for a couple of levels reduced his room for manoevure
off to find details
gallant defence of his title though
