Bumming around here in San Francisco for 3 weeks and played a couple of times at local casino Lucky Chances, http://www.luckychances.com/default.aspx (http://www.luckychances.com/default.aspx)
Bit of a late decision as I am now going to be free on 30th and they are running their $350 buy-in End of month SPECIAL tourney with $20k GTD to the winner. This is a re-entry tournament and I will budget for one re-entry only. I will be playing this event no matter how much % is sold to backers.

Total amount budgeted for=$700 @ 1.61=£433 total...any returns will be calculated at same exchange rate:
1%=£4.33
5%=£21.65
10%=£43.30
If re-entry is not used this will obviously be returned to backers at same exchange rate as above.
I have played three tournaments since I have been here and only had to use the re-entry option once mainly due to a very loose call on my behalf chasing a flush draw..I intend to play the opening levels of the above tournament pretty tightly and am hoping to only use our re-entry option if a badbeat or massive cooler should rise up and bite us.
Play is pretty lose at this casino and I have been coolered twice on FT bubble since being here and the third time was looking set to make the final when same guy cracked my kings with A9 off(straight on river) and then rivered two pair against my top pair to send me packing!! I feel that with some tight play early on, picking my spots wisely and cards/Gods on our side I stand a great chance of doing well in this tournament and possibly a massive score for minimal outlay.
Little Bit About Me!!:
I have been playing poker for approx 15 years now starting off with 7-card stud and then progressing onto NLHE when the boom took off.
I have had some relatively nice scores for a recreational player both online & live in the UK and Vegas and have played multiple EPT, GUKPT, UKIPT and WSOP events.
I have also worked in the poker industry as Area Manager for a local pub league and as live updater/blogger for a poker website covering major live events. Both of these jobs have enabled me to gain great knowledge of the game and see a huge variety of different styles of players playing our beloved game!!

Please note that the Venetian figures are actually incorrect as deals/savers were done and total cashes for the series were approx $25k.
