Hi Guys
APAT are running the National Online Cup again, starting 3rd February.
As you know we had a few teams from EoE last year. Whilst teams do not have to be regional teams like the league, I wondered if anyone is interested in playing with fellow EoE members? If so please let me know and I will add your name to the list.

GOOD NEWS (I think): I want to play.
BAD NEWS: I may miss one or more of the Sundays (will have to check work commitments tomorrow)
GOOD NEWS: I will register for all of the MTT"s prior to the knockout stage regardless of whether I can make it or not!
I will register for all MTT"s in the knockout stages if my team are still in contention.
BAD NEWS: I may be a little late sometimes.
GOOD NEWS: We are all due some rungood Pilgrim Luck.
AND FINALLY: Why isn"t Carl"s name down? ? ? Hope he"s not getting all "celebrity" on us and jumping ship!

My thoughts on selection should be cap the first 12 or 18 players then draw 2/3 teams like last time.. if we dont reach 12 interested players then the first 6 names down is a def team.. then say if there is 4 more players they use the player market set up by APAT to make a full squad? and so on.. Am willing to do the draw live on SKYPE if you like?

I"ve checked my dates at work and it looks like I will NOT be able to play on the 17th February (matchday 3), but as I stated in my original post I will still register!

After some gentle persuasion (and a lot of beer) I am pretty sure AJ Cairns said he would play (late, on saturday night!). St no point was the word loser used to put peer pressure on and he seemed thrilled to be asked! ;o)

was this before or after I fell asleep at the table? I did actually nod off at one point with my head in my hands, only to wake as the dealer was pushing chips towards me as I had a walk in the big blind! Easy game.
It will be an honour to rep EofE in the online cup. Although I will be missing at least two weeks maybe three :(

Two more players then we will have two complete teams.. So if you all agree, perhaps if we get two more regged before Sunday will cap it there and I will draw as and when? Let me know what you guys think.. In the mean time will spam a few more ;D

Ok Jo if you update the player list on OP.. Think Mark is wanting to jump ship!! ;D and join the bog trotters.. With the addition of Stu, Achim and Simon I believe that indeed makes 12..
If two people want to be team captains then first two have dibs? Hence choosing their team name, or otherwise first and second names drawn will be captains and relative team mates will then be consecutively drawn?..
Am happy to do draw live via SKYPE on Friday evening at 9.00pm? Fully clothed of course..

The tournaments start at 7.30pm no late registration, regarding the finishing time, I couldn"t tell you.. But I"m sure it wouldn"t be any longer than the usual online league, and if I was to stick my neck out I would assume it finished earlier..
If you don"t think you can commit and are worried about late finishers I"m sure we all understand your predicament with the time difference, and if you wish to withdraw then just say and Jo will remove you from list.. If not great look forward to seeing you play..

Echo what Carl said (sorry guys been a really busy week). Would be real shame if you couldn"t play, Achim, but totally understand that the time difference can make late finishes difficult.

I need a volunteer to authenticate the draw at 9.00pm, just logged into SKYPE and accepted contacts from Stewart and Achim.. Since Achim isn"t going to be involved would Stew want to log in for ten mins just to see the draw takes place fairly?..

Here is the team draw for the Online Cup, which I have just witnessed over Skype. The draw was carried out by Carl, with the help of an array of numbered colourful balloons and a balloon popper!

Hi Andy, im sure if your not comfy with the role of being skipper and want to step down, the next player out of the " balloon" Jo Sharpe will fill your shoes.. The random draw captain idea was only a suggestion, so it can be changed to accommodate individual preferences..
Just send Jo a message or post here there is a day or so to sort it out..

I dont want to disappoint so if she really wouldn"t mind I would like to pass the virtual armband over to Jo, who I am sure will "coax" the team into being ready each and onto glory!
