So, next week the GUKPT rolls into Stockton On Tees and I am going to enter the £75 side event PLO tournament on Thursday 9th May.
I feel like Omaha is probably my strongest game at the minute, it is a game that i definitely love and is the one that I play most online nowadays.
Im not putting any sharkscope or other online wizadry up, as I dont feel it is relevant to the staking proposal as this is a live event.
It is Re Entry in the first 3 levels so will include that in the stake for incase anything goes wrong or we get coolered. Levels are 30 mins long and we start with 7500 chips
I will be entering this regardless, but am looking to sell up to 50% of my action at 1.0, so :
10% = £15
5% = £7.50
I will be selling in minimum of 5% chunks and will take money by bank transfer or stars or tilt.
I really do think this is something that I will do very well in, I feel like I am going to have an edge over a fair few people in.
Many thanks for your consideration.

Feck off!
You can have 5% for £10 if you want....
Or save your money for a ME stake should such a thing be on offer next week...
-
Good news folks, jsut chopped a $8.80 PLO tourny on stars for $140 on chip count, which was only $12 less than the chip leader got.
Played really well, feeling very very good about this next week!
-
Money sent Su xx ;)
-
Recieved, thanks Carl :)
Really really really looking forward to this, have no idea how many runners it is going to get or the general standard of players.
I will be driving down (so not on the beer) and taking my ipod and head phones so I dont have to listen to the usual berks who go to the place!
I am confident that we will be in with a chance of making the cash all things being equal.
Bring it on!!

You do know you get four cards Stu ?
And must use two of them in your hand.
Just checking ;)

What?!?!?!??!
That"s why I thought I had better mention it.
You get dealt 4 (Four) cards each, plus the 5 (Five) community cards in the middle. You"ll always still be in the hand by the river because that"s 9 (Nine) cards to play with, and you are bound to always have a hand that looks good. You can"t fail to win. Good luck.
;D

Sigh, who thought that rubbish up?
Saying that, Ger once told me playing holdem, you are always 50/50.... so i get twice as many cards, surely that means i am now guarenteed to win?
-
You do know this is being pkayed at the G?
As you pointed out elsewhere
99% of the people in thre are irritating, inbred chavy muppets, I tell them to go fist themselves.
Headphones, hoodie, blinkers all required..
If you were a racehorse I"d suggest that you were gelded too.

Just stop dicking about.

Saying that, Ger once told me playing holdem, you are always 50/50
In its purist form this is of course indeed the case, now with PLO I have consulted the arithmetic permutations according to the manual I penned in the early hours of some morning. The numbers stack up and unfortunately the odds are exactly the same, you with either win or you will lose the hand - ergo 50/50. On that premise just fecking go for it.......

Down to 5, done deal to pay bubble, so we got 105 locked up.
-
43k at break, avg with 5 left 39k, crazy chinaman to my left chip leader, 3 of us about level, one shortish stack.
Been fairly active and gone from 16k an hour ago to 43k now. Just hope we can keep going in the right direction for a bit longer!!
-
5th for £105
Got it in as 2nd chip leader for 100k pot and a massive lead with AAJ4 v AAJ10 against crazy chinaman. He rivers a straight.
Will figure out how many pennies I owe and ship it tomorrow, sorry it couldn"t have been more :(
-
Ul mate but WTG on the cash!
Don"t leave it too long to do another one!! :)
-
Well done StuSon :) xx
Hope to owe you some come Sunday :)
-
Cheers everyone :)
So, we won £105 over all, 10% of which is £10.50, add to this the £7.50 owed for the second bullet we didnt take, means that i will be shipping back £18.00 to everyone yes?
Dont spend it all at once :)
Do I owe APAT 1% of the profit (£30)? or 1 % of the £105?

Will do a bit of a tourny report, but my memory is horrendous for this kind of thing!!!
I arrived at the G at about 17.30, wanted to get registered and settled in plenty of time so I was relaxed when the poker started. I stood at the bar and watched the Pune Warriors India get destroyed by Kolkotta Knight Riders in the IPL, when in walked APAT hero Chen Tam!!! A fantastic surprise, he was in the area and came over for a game, I think he is there again today, so look after him guys!
After a brief chat, we were summoned upstairs as the seating draw was up, and I was sat table 6, seat 1.
Dave had warned me about a few people before hand, and the only one i remembered was "a guy in a wheelchair" who I got on my table, on the button to my big blind, where he would proceed to be a massive pain in the arse!!!
Things got off to a sedate start really, a combination of poor starting hands and Mr Wheelchair raising everything kept me quiet for a while. There was generally alot of limping from some of the weaker players on the table (mainly the 2 gentlemen sat directly to my left) and I scooped my first pot by getting involved from the button and flopping 2 pair with K7xxds and getting 3 streets out of his missed (and crushed) flush draw and Top pair. MBN.
I managed to steadily chip up from this point on reached the break at 10.2k against an average of 8.2k and was very happy with my play.
On the break, local whingebag Adrian complimented me on how well I was playing and mentioned that I was playing tight, which was some nice info to have from him, and something that would come round to bite him in his miserable backside a short while later.
There wasnt much to report from the next session until the last hand before the break, where I re-pot an pot sized open from a slightly bonkers (is there any other kind) chinese youngster from the BB with AAxxds and he flats.
The flop came A s 4s 7h
I have no spades and he bets out for about half the pot. I decide that., although I most likely need to dodge half the deck, if he wanted to draw to it, he was going to pay, so I repot and after declaring that it looks like "a dream flop" for himself and calling, I ask "What on earth do I need to dodge here?"
Turns out it was the remaining 7 in the deck as he gets it in with a set of 7"s and no draw. TYVM!!
After the break, and again being told that I am tight as a tight thing by Adrian, we go back upstairs and first hand back i look down at AAKQds and repot after an open from a guy who looks like a capable player, who folds and we just start to trundle on again.
I DID manage to fold KKJ10cc pre when he re potted me so he was all in for 9k, which would have taken me from comfortably over avg stack at 27k, to bang on avg at 18k. This was a marginal fold, as i like alot of flops with this hand, but I really didnt see the point in potentially doubling up the only other player at the table who was decent and knocking myself back, so i chucked them in and he showed his double suited aces.
I then started to take advantage of this "tight" image I had built up, and began to re raise Adrian pre VERY light.
Adrian is a tight player anyway, and he is more than prone to making hero folds, or at least folding hands where he hasnt got the absolute nuts. This is an admirable trait in OMAHA, but its also very very exploitable!! I went through a good 45 minute spell where every time he got involved I took to sticking it as far in his eye as i possibly could!!
As i mentioned in my live posts, i was pretty card dead, and managed to maintain my just above avg stack right the way through to the final table, which is where I will pick this up later on, as I have a doctors appointment in 30 mins and should really be getting out of bed!!
