I have had some relatively nice scores for a recreational player both online & live in the UK and Vegas and have played multiple EPT, GUKPT, UKIPT and WSOP events.

Could you provide more details on these events (how many?). I pressume from your hendon mob you didn"t cash in any of them.
EPT London 2006 as part of European Poker Championships where I took down £300 side event.
Think Barcelona was same year or 2007.
WSOP ME in 2006 & 2007 and another 2 $1.5k events each year....actually cashed in one of the $1.5k events so not sure why not on Hendon Mob.
GUKPT Brighton think was 2009 but not 100% sure....also think I played GUKPT Manchester one year when was blogging for Poker Verdict and got bought in by Management(aka Channing!!)....and UKIPT was when it was in Brighton cant remember year!!

Firstly all the internet headphone kiddies weren"t really there and the game was a lot more fun to play!!
Obv ranges have changed quite a bit and Im trying to play more of a Negreanu small ball style at the mo....trying to flop massively disguised monsters and hopefully getting paid versus big pairs etc......Im also trying to play my big premium pairs a bit harder pre at the mo to eliminate some of the ridiculous preflop calls u see and if they do want to play with 63 off make them pay for it!!..............I also have reduced my c-bets when missing flops as these always seem to get called or reraised and it just seems to be costing me chips....obv slip the odd one in there!!.....bluff % has also increased but not just with c-bets........hopefully don"t play against anyone here soon as have just given most of my game away!!

Cheers guys.....really up for this event already....playing well at moment and last night got my 2nd FT of week at local casino and TID for £1.1k......only made one mistake all night with 10 players left when I had 30% of chips in play!!.......then doubled a short stack twice bvb and dropped to av at FT.......didn"t let it get to me and played the FT perfectly.....having aces in BB when UTG moves all in always helps!!
Know its totally different kettle of fish but my newish style seems to be paying off and almost 90% of time when play at local I at least make the final 18.......only then to just get fkd by the cards!!
Roll on Galway......not sure what Day 1 will be playing yet....flight all booked though and Im flying in on the Weds....just working out hotel......let u know nearer the time which day will be starting.

All tucked up in bed in Galway getting some decent rest in for tomorrow.
3g hasn"t seemed to kick in on phone yet(any ideas?) so not sure how often will be able to update on Twitter or here.......hopefully they"ve got wifi in the poker village but I will try to get into a phone shop in town to sort anyway.
All going to plan and get the 3g sorted watch out for updates from 12pm tomorrow guys.....if don"t get sorted Ive got laptop in room so will have to do an end of day update for u when get back.

Well that was pretty fking disappointing!! >:(
Was super pumped to play and never got anything going all day.......right from the off was under it really....top pair top kicker and flush draw on turn losing min to a flopped set......top pair again on raggy board being rivered by better pair etc etc.
Made couple reasonably big lay downs and chips just kept bleeding away.........didn"t pick up any premium pairs for the first 4 hours and when I did hit with a speculative hand i.e 45 suited turning a straight and 77 flopping set just didn"t get paid at all.
Think I only really made one mistake all day when utg+1 serial raiser raises to 1050 at 150/300......I pick up AQss and repop to 3100 leaving me 7k behind I think........tightest player at table then goes into tank and moves all in......original raiser snap folds and I make the fold too.......believed this was right play at time as Im prob happy to get it in with the original raiser but the way the other guy had been playing Im pretty sure that I was behind.......might have been wrong as about 5 hands later we see him raising and being forced to call a small all in with K7!!....and he hits obv!!
Left super short after above debarcle and again just bleed chips with no playable hands whatsoever.......finally dribble down to 3k and after another serial min raise look down at a bare Ace......put it in and double up against 89 with my A2!!
4-5 hands later again after an utg min raise to 800 I look down at Queens........all in for the last 6k and called by 99.....9 is the door card and its ADIOS >:(............if we hold there back up to 13k odd with the blinds and got a bit more wiggle room but as standard get fkd by a marvellous 2 outer!!
Sorry guys but played my best and just didn"t really get anything to play with all day until I was supershort and getting called down after any kind of raise.......saying that still had a great experience and would only really change one hand that I played.

No good Im afraid guys...41st out of 150 odd....turned into crapshoot really and shoved for 3.7k at 250-500 with A9...called by chipleader with QK...Q door card obv!!
