Yep, fantastic updates and a fantastic (and quick) end to a fantastic tourney.
Congrats to All at final table. Big Congrats to Jason, vwp!
See you in Dublin!
-
Just back from the tourney, the casino is just 3 miles from my home. Happy with my 4th place.
Big congrats to Jason who thourghly deserved his win having made most of the moves on the final table, mind you the set of 6"s against me was a bit of a sickener >:( A huge thanks you to Des, Tighty, Tony and all others involved for a superb tourney.
Just wish I was a few years younger, I would travel to all events, mind you the wife might have something to say about that!
Great meeting all the guys and gals too many to mention but you know who you are, what a fantastic bunch.
-
Wp jason ,an excellent final table to watch.Glen and eck both played out their skins as well. Finally another big thanks to the 3 amigo,s des ,tighty and tikay .You do a outstanding job.
-
Congrats to all who took part and won some ... hope to see u all again next year x.
-
Big thanks to Des, Richard and TJ for another memorable weekend.
Thanks for all the good wishes folks felt i played pretty well on day one and with a bit more luck (I know very good coming from the luckbox) could have went into day 2 a lot healthier.
Played fairly terrible today and felt like i was just playing the cards a bit too much at times.
Congrats to Jason who completely owned me in a couple of pots, so much so that i am now sitting on his mantlepiece.. :) very deserving winner wp
-
Well done all... Great updates... Gutted I couldn"t make it.
-
Congrats Jason!
Thanks again to Des and everyone involved, had a great time at my first apat national and was happy with making it to Day 2 (even if I did go out on the second hand). Was good meeting everyone. Hopefully see you all again in London in August, I don"t think i"ll be able to make Dublin, but you never know what an online qualification might provoke!
-
Well played Jason and thanks to Mr Tight for the updates.
APAT onwards and upwards.

AQ of Stuart Brown vs A9
A 4 2 6 5 Stuart doubles up again
this is the slackest reporting ive ever seen
Bit harsh, considering the action was moving quite quick yesterday. I guess it"s easier to get it spot on if you were in the hand.
Well played anyway, if that had gone your way, who knows.
-
Just got up after (after my 7 hour drive last night). Actually took 5 but you"ve got to dramatise in these situations.
Firstly, I would like to thanks all of the guys at APAT for a superbly run tournament. It"s easy for you guys to say the players made it, but take some credit. It"s easy play poker when you"re at such a well run event.
Also thanks to the guys and gals at GALA CASINO. We were well looked after, and an special thanks to the dealers who did a great job with little reward (when you"ve got 130+ experts all giving chips counts etc. it"s not always easy to keep the table under control).
This was my first big event and I am very pleased with third place. My strategy involved not playing a single rag ace hand all torny. so it"s ironic that a rag ace hand which turned into a straight to the 5 ended up busting me out. But that"s why poker is such a great game.
Met some great people and players and thouroughly enjoyed myself. I will certainly be doing this again.
Finally, congrats to all players who made the final table, especially Glen and Jason, but especially the winner, Jason.
See you all at the table. :as: :2h:
p.s. kris stead - thanks mate.
p.p.s - West Wing - you"re turn mate.
-
Just caught up with the action...
WP Ecky and VWPD Glenn, awesome showing, see you both next week.
And CONGRATULATIONS jason, great to see a Welshman take down another APAT.
CYMRU am BYTH!

Hi all,
Just wanted to say thank you for all your kind comments.
Final table was a bit crazy to say the least, and I did get more than my fair share of breaks.
Was a pleasure meeting you all, hope to see you again in Dublin if I manage to survive the "clickfest".
Cheers

Just like to say a big thank you to everyone in the APAT for organising a fantastic weekend, and a big thanks to all the staff at the Gala for looking after us.
A great finish for myself in 7th at my first national event, looking forward to the next one already.
Well done to Jason on a great final table performance.

Thanks to Des & Son, Tighty & TJ for another great weekend and to the Maybury staff for looking after us so well (my early exit allowed a timely berth at the buffet trough - apologies if I was the cause of the food running out!).
Well done Jason on a great victory and to Glenn for grinding his short-stack to 2nd place. Simon Auckland - wow! Likewise Mr Eccles - very well done too.
Finally thanks to everyone who I shared a Guinness with over the weekend for helping to make it a memorable few days.
-
Congratulations to the winner and the rest of the final table.
Another very well run tourney, great fun.
Thanks very much to the APAT team 8)

Unless anyone can confirm any different i think i actually finished 24th not 25th!!! ;D
Was just reading through the threads and there was only 22 players for day 2. As Duke was the last person knocked out on day 1 and i was knocked out the hand before him, by my reckoning that makes me 24th?!? ???
Feel free to burst my bubble if you know any different :-\
