Great looking schedule, not too good for me with working.  :(

Event #11 and #15 might take longer than 3 hours each though....

Try and get down for the end of the week....  ;D

Not the way you play. :)

Anyway sacrifices will have to be made. Not everyone can play every event.

Since the 2014 Main Event had 2 starting days (and both rather succesful) wouldn"t it make more sense that Saturday and Sunday are both day 1"s; and Monday day 2... At least I hope it is, but it"s not what the schedule suggests.

I agree. Besides that would also mean that the HU is the only event on Monday, which would be a bit strange. I thought the plan was that peeps could play the Main as well as the PLO and PLO8 if they wanted (which wasn"t the case last year)

2 day ones on Sat and Sun is correct guys.  Tom has updated the initial post with a detailed daily breakdown now, which should answer most questions.

BUT they do a deal 2 course evenng meal plus drink plus all u can eat breakfast following morning for 22.99) 95 days and counting.

PLO
OFC
ROE
6 Max
Cash
Main

Also hopefully some cash games will be running for other days. Do Aspers now have their license back? If not where is the nearest pub?

It"s on top, like an admin fee (but actually goes towards the updating costs of the event, so the more £5 booking fees means a better update across the week.  All good. )

I know it"s still kind of early but any more info on Event #4 OFC? I was at Aspers a couple of months ago for the Unibet Open and they ran an OFC side event (which I couldn"t play due to a clash with another event) and IIRC, it was a 3-handed, non-FantasyLand version. So I have a feeling WCOAP might be the same and if so, it"d be good to get used to that variation in the weeks running up to it.

Very, very happy to see this game included, regardless of the structure  ;D

Hi Chris, I"m expecting OFC to be the same as the Unibet open, but will confirm this once we have final details discussed and completed with Aspers.

Hi all,

First of all: great looking schedule! If I could I would play it all.

Which brings me to my question... What will be the rule regarding unregistering from a tournament prior to its beginning? I"m particularly looking at the events which clash or overlap; such the HU Championship and Day 2 of the Main.

Will there be any possibility to unregister?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Gareth, the simple answer is yes there will.

What we need to achieve is give everyone the opportunity to take part, which in turn means we do NOT allow players to register or play in multi events that overlap as, you can imagine, that leads to many registering for an event, and then having to withdraw because they are still in another event - which of course can cost another player a seat - which we consider to be unfair.  I believe it was the main reason why APAT, years ago, introduced the "seat exchange" facility that players use when they register for an event and then cannot, for whatever reason, play.  It stops someone (or dozens of people) simply registering for an event, or all events, with the real possibility that they cannot actually attend - but they hedge their bets - thereby taking a place that someone else could have had and who would have turned up.

I"m sure at times there is an acceptable balance - and the example you quote I think would be fine - but we need to rely on the player to UNREGISTER if it looks like they will still be in the 1st event when the 2nd starts - with your example you could simply see the APAT host to unregister from the HU - I would hope/expect this to happen at the point you know you"ve qualified for Main Event Day 2.

Any news on when buy ins will be available on Coral? Hotel booked. Funds at the ready...

Would be nice to have an indication, as I need to arrange funding via staking I am owed.

Thanks..

I"m waiting to hear back from my contact at Coral regarding the Holding Tanks - if my "shortcut" approach doesn"t work then unfortunately it means a lot of form filling for Matt, but once Coral confirm details I"ll post to the forum.

Hi Des/Tom

Having been unable to play virtually any apat events this season i am very much looking forward to Worlds. I am planning to play the full schedule with Dave, Dann and Dwayne, with a number of other members of TG playing a bunch as well. Will there be a player of the series with prizes etc much like apat do for the player of the season?

Also, and i appreciate this is a long shot, any chance of a book being run?  :-*

There are no plans for a leaderboard with prizes Chris, but we will be running a fantasy competition around the 20 events that promises to be interesting and with prizes.

This

I would assume it is £50+£10+£5 given the £65 buyin on Coral?

The structure and rebuy rules would be useful my questions would be:-

1) What are the blinds going to be and how will they adjust throughout the event?
2) Is it unlimited rebuy?
3) When can I rebuy? Do I have to have less than 100BB, can I stick 200BB on the table? How high can I go?
4) Are tables 9 handed?

What are the rules for "Crazy Pineapple"?

Ditto for Irish? When played this in cash you got 3 cards, do you get 3 or 4 preflop?

In normal Irish its 3 cards and you discard one card after the round of betting on the flop, in pineapple you discard befor the flop

You are correct that in Pineapple that you dicard before the flop however in this case the game in question is Crazy Pineapple and the third card is discarded after the flop
Crazy Pineapple
Players discard their third (unwanted or unneeded) card after the flop, before the fourth community card is dealt.
The question to be answered:Are we playing Limit,  Pot Limit or No Limit

Irish however you get dealt four cards and two are discarded after the flop ie before the turn

I play Irish in DC games and the button choses but the normal game is 3 card, but I agree more importantly is it PL,NL or L

I can see madness ensuing weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

In Crazy Pineapple, 1 card is indeed discarded after the betting on the flop, so before the turn comes.

During our APAT event in Belgium last month, we had Crazy Pineapple as our opening side event.
We played it No Limit.

It was the very first time that in Belgium a casino hosted a Crazy Pineapple event, and players liked it very much.
A lot of the had to ask us the exact rules, but they joined and liked it.

I believe IrishTom fitted this into the WCOAP schedule because we were planning to have it in Belgium and he thought it would a good idea to have it as well... And I"m very looking forward to playing this event :)

Regular Pineapple => 3 cards dealt, you have to discard one after the preflop betting round, so before the flop !!!
Crazy Pineapple => 3 cards dealt, you have to discard one after the postflop betting round, so before the turn !!!

Irish => 4 cards dealt, you have to discard two after the postflop betting round, so before the turn !!!

And then in all games, play continues just as a normal Holdem game.

Tell me why Matt :)

Looks pretty clear to me: you get dealt 3 cards; there"s a betting round... after that betting round you have to discard 1 card; and then the flop is dealt...

Lol :)

In regular Pineapple there"s no difference really. When all in, you first discard 1 card and then open up the 2 cards to run the board.

And in Crazy Pineapple, when all in preflop, you first see a flop... then both players discard 1 card and then the 2 remaining cards are opened up.

i think me and the other half are looking forward to this more than main lol,   never played it beore , luckily never played pineapple or irish,  so nt getting confused with different variations of rules, as far as i can see same as texas nl except u get extra card and get rid of one after betting done before turn is dealt. so A s Ah Ad is nt a hand i really want lol

Hi Stefan - I think it"s more a case of we are awaiting finalisation of the format between Tom and the casino.  As soon as we have that for all events, then a large amount of information will be released to the players.  :)

I expect it will be the same as last years shoot-out. The full info should be on the forum here in the reports posted from last year. It was 6/7 tables, 10-handed that played down to 1 person (who then progressed to the final table after a break) if I remember correctly. Or maybe 8-handed.

Here you go:  :)

That"s just a week away.

And not wanting to get anyone too excited, but the first event is only 16 days away.

Would be good to get some player lists together to start thinking about the Fantasy League squad for the WCOAP.

There doesn"t seem to be very many in the holding tanks though.  Could make picking players for a competition a little tough if you"ve no way of knowing who"s actually playing.

Might have to play the percentage game and just select the Team Gotham guys :)

Have you been looking for them by tournament number search? If so, I had trouble finding any of them. But I found them when I typed the first two digits of one of the numbers; that showed two of the holding tanks, and it revealed the rest when I deleted the tournament numbers.

I just find them under Coral Exclusive >>>  APAT

Seems simple enough ;)

Silly question I"m sure but just to clarify, if using EventBrite to reserve a spot, we just have to pay at the Casino anytime before designated start time?
It"s not like there"s a specific time before the tourny start which we must pay by (as in 1hr before etc)?
