Title: WCOAP details
Post by: fandango on December 07, 2015, 15:36:06 PM
I presume that WCOAP will be held around March/April as per normal?..

I realise that confirming details with venue, sponsors, card room manager etc etc can be very time consuming and takes a huge amount work, and am sure Des and team are doing their up most to dot the i"s and cross the t"s to bring it to its usual brilliant success.

But I must admit I"m a little worried about the time left to arrange funds, for buy ins and accommodation let alone drink and food funds.. Going on previous years it takes a lot of scrimping and saving to make the most of WCOAP and I like to spread the cost over months, it"s now December and with Luton in January it only leaves Feb/March to save without knowing possible prices of what WCOAP may actually be.

Yours worried Carl..

It"s with me Carl and I"m just doing some dotting and crossing at the moment.  I would be saving with Easter in mind as in recent past seasons!

My main concern is time off work during the Easter Holidays. I want to attend the whole festival, I doubt getting accommodation will be too difficult tbf Travel Lodge is unlikely to sell out although costs will rise.

Shall I just book the week before Easter and The first half of the next week off now? Don"t like just doing it without knowing what I actually need as it potentially affects other people who can"t book the time off if I have booked time I do not need and end up cancelling.

I wouldn"t push any buttons until the location is advised...you never know!

I know nothing but anything could happen.
