I have discovered that it is rather hard/fast work trying to record and blog every step of a stud hand so I am going to be doing my best, with the main aim being trying to catch the exposed cards of players left in by showdown and the winning hand at least.
Two hands from the table showcasing Mr Matt Carter, Mr Ben Burnhill and Mr Kevin O"Hanlon.
William (Billy) Whicher has 3d 4d 4h 9d on show and has called.
Adam shows 2h 8d 8c 4c and turns Jh Js 5h for two pair
Billy mucks his concealed cards.

Niels chuckles and shrugs, suggesting he has to bet and does just that.

I have been stood at the table of John Murray for the last little while, he went down to 700 chips but has clawed his way back to around 3k.
Antes/bring in 100, limit 400/800
John, Vince Eley and Luca Canella get to 7th street.
Luca, with 7h 7c 5h 10s exposed, makes it 800 to go.
Vince, showing 5s 3d 4d 3h, folds and John calls.
John turns over 6c 2d 4c to go with his face up Ac 8c 8h Kc
He has the flush - Ac Kc 8c 6c 4c
Luca turns a 10d .....
He then turns Ks....
Eventually (!) he turns over the 7d

Well it was a very hard one to win, I lasted almost 20 minutes you know!!!!
Tom was in for nearly a WHOLE level, not sure how Karen coped with such a high performance level.

The first hand on the final table is a big one. Alex completes on 3rd street and Kevin calls. Kevin took over the betting on 4th and bet every street, with Alex calling all the way, but folding on 7th, so 9k finds is way from Alex to Kevin.

Warren, mostly quiet til now, completes and Alex calls.
They build the pot to around 20k through the streets and both check on 7th.
Alex has only ace high, Warren"s 8"s are good and he takes the pot.

Kev, ahead and has Warren covered with 2c 8h Jd Js 2d - two pair; jacks and 8"s
Warren needs to improve to survive.
Kev gets dealt the 2s and Warren gets 10h...he is in trouble as Kev has the house.
Kev gets the 7s on 7th and Warren cannot beat the house with the 5h
Warren finishes in 3rd place and goes home with a Bronze Medal and £261, well played to him.

Alex raises to 36k and the dealer reminds them that there is no raising cap when players are heads up.

Kev goes 72k and Alex, finally, make it 84k which puts Kev all in with 82k.
Kev shows 5h Jc 8s with 5d 8d in his hand giving him two pair - 5"s and 8"s
Alex has 10s Qs 5s with Qc 3h in his hand giving him one pair - queens.
Kev gets dealt the 2d 3d
Alex gets the 9d Ad and Kev doubles up.
Kev counts his stack in remarkable time (after I ask the dealer how much his all in was for) and confidently tells me he has 164k...cheers Kev :)

Not many hands later and we have a similar story when it gets to 7th and both players re raise until Alex is all in.
Kev shows Ks 8c Qh 7h and is holding Jc Ad Ac and has a pair of aces.
Alex has Qd 8s 10h As and Kd Jd 5c in his hand and has a broadway straight.
The chips swing back over!!

Darius, in the small blind, completes and Daniele in the big blind checks.
3h 10s 4s on the flop.
Darius leads out for 17k and Daniele quickly moves all in for 50.5k.
Darius makes the call and we see he has Qs 3s - pair of 3"s and the flush draw.
Daniele has !0d 5c and is hoping it will hold...
Turn card is the 5h and Daniele improves to two pair but is still at risk.
River card is Ad and Daniele doubles to around 110k.

Not long later and Simon makes it 21k to go from under the gun.
Darius calls from the button and the dealer puts down Jh Ks 9d.
Simon checks and fairly quickly calls Darius" bet of 42k.
4s on the turn and another check call from Simon when Darius puts in 50.5k
10s river and Simon moves his remaining 52k across the line.
Darius swiftly calls and is disappointed to see his A s 10c for two pair is no good against the Qs Qh of Simon to give him the straight.
Simon now on around 340k and probably chip leader.
Still 4 handed and on the medal bubble...

The turn of 3d doesn"t help Simon and, when Daniele improves to the straight on a 5s river, it is all over.
Simon Lawlor takes 2nd place and gets a Silver Medal and £720...
