I"m very excited to be joining Lucy and Tom for the remainder of the WCOAP, with Leigh joining the team on Friday as we start to live stream what we"re sure will be a big final weekend of WCOAP action.

Today we"ve got the Six Max Championship and the always exciting two day Team Championship.

I"ve started the thread a little early to post the draw for the five phases that make up the Team Championship, so without further adieu...

Phases two, three and four will feature a series of NLHE, PLO8 and PLO Single Table Tournaments.  In all cases, points will be allocated as follows:-

1st - 12 points
2nd - 9 points
3rd - 7 points
4th - 5 points
5th - 4 points

We have our first four results in....and it makes difficult reading for Portugal.

In match 8, Jon Rees of Wales has beaten Nuno Paulino of Portugal

In match 4, Chris Kelly of Scotland has beaten Bruno Rilho of Portugal

In match 6, Diego Siriano scored defending Champion Italy"s first points, defeating England"s Paresh Doshi

and just in...

In match 10 Ireland"s Ian Thompson has just beaten Italy captain Luca Cannella.

After a mammoth battle, James Ellis has taken the final match of phase one. 

In front of a huge rail, the Scotsman assured his country of the lead in the Championship, when beating Holland"s Jeroen Dollee in match 19. 

Quite what the Dutchman made of the wall of sound that greeted Ellis" victory is hard to say, but one thing"s for sure - the Scots are off to a flying start in their quest to wrestle the Team Championship title from Italy.

Jeez... action on Luke and Marius goes on a pee break... comes back and Luke bets and then goes on a pee break.. comes back and Marius folds... apparently TD wouldn"t give them a pee break... so they both go when action is on the other...

I don"t really care if the absent player should be folded or not when action is on the other player... Jeez, they both wanted a pee break.. let them have one!

(next time I"ll try to listen to decisions like that and not be distracted by someone mentioning a beer...)
