Guys - you should be using Staker for this! Much the same principle, but we"ll do a lot of the heavy lifting on results, leaderboards etc. Plus it would be great to get some volume through the game because we have big plans beyond it"s current free to play state...but we need to demonstrate volume and performance over the next three months.
We"ll add an APAT seat exclusively for the winner of this league, on that platform. ;)

Getting a late run of entrants now.. Still waiting for John Murray to pick his team always interesting, will it be all female? All Brits? Or will we be suprised and he picks a team with a chance?
Haha just had a stinking selection from Simon Lawlor ;D
Has gone down the "themed" route this year..
You will see what I mean when teams are shared by John.

You mean stonking I hope :)
I"ll put up the teams and that later.
In the meantime, it seems that you can cash more than once in the Colossus, so we need to decide how we handle that points-wise.
Do we just award one set of points or do we addemalltogether?

It wasn"t a joke, Carl. I have to admit it was an error - you seem to have chosen the wrong player.
I"d better check in case anyone else has made a similar mistake.
, and no subs you have to stick with original 10 players, so do your homework!

Ok this was from OP.. Rules are rules.. But since we are a nice bunch on APAT what is your decision as a whole on Dan Williams being able to change Charlie C from his line up?
Since we are only in first event.. Need a majority decision ASAP ..
Dan has been busy looking after his nipper and not been on Social media much to see Charlie"s Facebook post.
Happy to let him change. :)
I dunno, he"s already got a fairly deadly squad with Ashton, Polk and Owen. I don"t want him to have Gorodinsky, Danzer or Mercier as well. I think we should choose the replacement. Let"s give him Trickett.
change it yes
I don"t think anyone minds if we just change the player, Carl. He said he wanted to change before the Stud had started. Of his team, Hellmuth, Owen and Mercier are still live in the Stud and Moorman is still plugging away in the Big C. Haven"t checked the others, but some of them may be lost in the Colossus crowds too. I think people are content for him to get whatever points that lot generate.

Problem being..
A) Team has been withdrawn as it was unpaid, this was a way around the no subs clause.
So tbh it is a new team although it only had 1 change and being a late reg I"m having to stick to OP and say late reg rule of players scoring from when team has been submitted.

It"s clear that Mercier was already stacked up in the Stud before he was added to the team so, I agree, he can"t get any points for him in that event. It would be harsh not to give him points for his other players, though, if they score.
Surely if a team is only submitted today then he should not be able to get any points from the games that had already started, It was his decision to withdraw his team because 1 player had pulled out but as his other players were going well in a game it was his decision, and he declared he was withdrawing his original team and submitting a new team which he has done now.

Hi John, the unofficial final table for the stud was 9, are you sure the official final table wasn"t 8?
Is Glenn"s pick Joe Laming not Daniel Laming? Or is there another Laming poker player? Joe cashed in event #6

There"s Lamings everywhere Simon. They just follow each other to poker tournament after poker tournament.
No, wait.....
That"s Lemmings.
Both Joe and Danny play poker, and it"s rumoured sometimes Glenn plays ;)

Woohoo good old Justin got me off the starting block :)
Must admit I am getting quite frustrated in the Stakers game. I have done a bit of homework and picked a "team" and worked out who is there and games they are likely to play but the guys I picked keep doing well in other games :(
Is there any way of finding out who might be playing UKIPT Marbella? I would assume a lot of the regulars will be in Vegas.
How do you..
a) Know who is going to be there first of all? and
b) Know which players are going to play tournaments in volume?
I look at previous last few years at the top cashes.. Chidwick, Mercier, Danzer etc etc so presume they are going to put a full schedule.. I also message them and politely ask them if they will be playing much. I also ask if they know of a good pick, Chidwick informed me to pick Dylan Linde as he will play most events as they are room sharing. he also cashed on numerous occasions in previous years.

The tournament has reached the final table of six, which includes Pierre Neuville from last year"s November Nine. None of our players got that far, Fedor Holz dropping in 18th place.
There are some excellent names on the final, Javier Garcirreynaldos (from Spain), for one. There has been substantial emigration from Ireland to Spain at various times in the last 500 years. Surely there was a time during that period when Mr Reynolds and Senorita Garcia got together and ended up constructing this monstrosity of a name. Also in the final six are Tim Cha and my new favourite, Lutz Klinkhammer. Honestly, does the WSOP hold a names committee before each Series to come up with the oddest names it can get away with?
Vinny Pahuja made his fourth cash from the ten tournaments so far this year in this event. Not too bad. In fact, he wouldn"t have played them all - remember he made the final table of #4. Dan Kelly and Michael Mizrachi both made their third cash. How come? They both cashed in #1, the casino employees event. I had overlooked this one as I hadn"t expected that real pro players would be taking part, so I"ll need to go back and add in the points for it. Mizrachi also cashed the Colossus. Incidentally, they have both gone on to cash for a fourth time in #12 PLO, but we"ll come to that in due course.
David Vamplew, David Benefield and Shawn Quint (Yes!) also racked up their third cash of this year in #10.

I have staked our own TODD WOOD in the Millionaire Maker.... Chuffed to see he has made Day 2.
So without knowing how many chips I look for him in the chip counts, and find TOD WOOD, New York..
I check my Staker and see I have entered TODD but used his Facebook profile to find him to place my stake.
Is my stake void as I have spelt his name incorrectly.?
Also, WSOP need to correct their information...

So you had, and the program hasn"t given you any winnings. I wonder if it"s to do with name format. He is called John Edward Monnette on Staker (and HendonMob). Unfortunately, it is now too late to change the result - just kidding, I"m sure Des will work his magic to resolve it.

So you had, and the program hasn"t given you any winnings. I wonder if it"s to do with name format. He is called John Edward Monnette on Staker (and HendonMob). Unfortunately, it is now too late to change the result - just kidding, I"m sure Des will work his magic to resolve it.
This is very easy to fix so I will check and adjust. The names in the game and results are all taken from the Hendon Mob, so this sort of thing shouldn"t happen. I will look into it though.

Great tactics. I will be trying this in the next Apat tournament.
Prince shared some of his theory “I reach for the sky.” "My mind is where it needs to be. It"s almost like I am seeing through their hands." “Everything I did was calculated in advance. I was thinking ten moves ahead. My opponents didn"t know that. But that"s what I was doing. I was locked in the whole time..I tend to play the tournament out in my head in advance so I can be ready to make my moves. Any situation that comes up, I"m already ready for it.”
We got news for you. Guess who showed up to play? None other than cuddly Howard. For the first time since 2010, Howard Lederer is playing in the WSOP. I thought he would wait for the Players Championship, but he is playing #16 $10k 2-7 NLSD. The stalking horse, Chris Ferguson, has played several days without incident, so far as we know, so Lederer has obviously decided to chance it. Although Ferguson has played some mass events, I expect Lederer will stick to the $10k tournaments mainly populated by professiional players, where he is much less likely to come face-to-face with random punters bearing a grudge.
How is he getting on? It doesn"t matter - what matters is whether he gets through the day without being confronted.

When I entered my player on Staker for Event #18 HORSE the site said "NO DATA".
When i tried to enter him with his Hendon Mob link it said "player already exists".
If you invested in Howard Lederer, I"ve got bad news for you. He came into Day 2 short and has gone out in a hand against Brian Hastings. One of those situations where you can"t decide which one you want to lose. Answers to the usual address to the question "In a showdown between Brian Hastings and Howard Lederer, who do most want to lose?". Twenty-three left in the 2-7 (#16), and we have nine of them. #expert picking
Six left in the 8-Game (#15). Volpe currently third.
The Millionaire Maker (#14) is down to 402, and Tod"s name hasn"t appeared yet in the list of cashes. We have a few players highly placed. Deadman has been climbing steadily today and is now up to 11th. Bojang is 22nd, Leonard 28th and Nitsche 44th. Leonard has been having some major scraps with Timoshenko (39th), which seem destined to end with one of them busted and the other with a massive stack. Loni Harwood, Kelly Minkin and Sofia Lovgren are all well-placed. Also in the top 50 are Ted Forrest and .........Chris Ferguson. Sorry to keep bringing him up, but he keeps scoring.

Craig has just left the action, 3 players get it all in pre flop, Craig with 66, Georg Zacher with QQ and Charles Carragher with KK. Flop Q 10 6! A 5 on turn means nothing but the K on the river knocks Craig and Zacher out!
It"s all about to heat up even more, cos #16: $10k 2-7 has just hit the final table and we have three of the seven remaining players. Mercier is chip-leader, Mike Watson is second and Chidwick is fourth. A lot of us have these players, though. Fifteen of us have Mercier and eleven have Chids. Five people have both (incl Luca and Carl). Only one person has Watson, though, which is, er, me. I"m unlikely to trouble the leaders, though, no matter what happens.
In #14 the Millionaire Maker, we are down to one player, Simon Deadman. He should have been eliminated a minute ago, but caught very lucky to double up - now 17/64.
#17 $1k NLHE is down to 116 players. We just have one player, Craig McCorkell, still in this, in 16th place. It looks to me that a few LPPL players have cashed in this and one of them, Dave Stones, is currently near the top of the leaderboard in 10th place.
Just 27 left in the HORSE (#18) and, unusually, we don"t have many of them, with just Owen and Parker there for us. We normally hit well in the mixed events but, I assume, most of the likely players were tied up too long in the 2-7 or the 8-Game. Scheduling could be better?

Great work John.. I must say I prefer the new scoring system as it only takes a result or 2 to completely change the state of running. Will hold the interest of those who perhaps are 20-30 points adrift of top spot.
In other news I"m top of the blonde fantasy poker game #thin..
Does this include any points scored from event number 1 and the collosus John?

Another point for McCorkell and Paxo. Paxo always backs McCorkell, due to the Portsmouth connection. Together, they are trying to win this competition one point at a time. Such a pity there only 69 events.
Here"s an odd thing - both of the heads-up players made their first ever WSOP cashes today.
In fact:
The winner made his first WSOP cash today.
The second-placed player made his first WSOP cash today.
The fourth player made his first WSOP cash today.
The sixth player made his second (cashed in this event two years ago).
The seventh-placed player made his first ever WSOP cash today.
This is the winner, Chase Bianchi.
There might be creatures living in that beard.
Chase is 28 years old. Why do young men grow unattractive long beards like this? Why? Why?

Hi John. It would be great if I could be added to the leaderboard as a guide to where I am and to see if I need to make any improvements, I would appreciate it very much.
I was just looking at the biggest money winners in WSOP history.
Nine players, so far, have reached the $10m mark.
I thought they would be obvious but, actually, I"d be surprised if anyone would get the top six right. Even the top four is tricky. Forget about all nine.

Without google I would say..
Antonio Esfandiari.. (One drop)
Jamie Gold .. (2009 ME)
Phil Helmuth (50+ cashes?)
Sam Trickett (one drop ru)
Peter Eastgate?
Allen Cunnigham?
Daniel Negreanu?
Eric Sidel?
Jason Mercier?
Johnny Chang?
Complete guesses!

2.. £50
3.. £30
Good luck all may your Horses run strong!!
I"m guess when Dann has finally paid that will be going onto 1st place ?
I also have Rhys Jones in #42 John ::)
21 players left in #39: $10k 6-Handed NLHE and we have six of them - Selbst, Bonomo, Little, Seiver, Kitai and Volpe.
Leonard, Duhamel, Ausmus and Deadman have already cashed for us. Oodles of points at the end of this one. This event took 3½ hours of hand-for-hand play to get through the cash bubble. Deadman tried to call the clock on a player on another table during the hand-for-hand, but wasn"t allowed.
Just seven left in #40: $2.5k Mixed Triple Draw Lowball. Urbanovich, Mercier, Rutter and Watson have cashed.
Forty players won their tables in #42: $3k Shootout NLHE. Our interest lies with Ho, Mizrachi, Chidwick and Esfandiari.

My best event to date! Have to say hope Rhys does get the bracelet, even if it"s just to emulate his good mate Craig (McCorkell) who won the same event a couple of years back. Well, that and points for me of course! Beating Maria heads up would be nice. :DI also have Rhys Jones in #42 John ::)

And he has just become the first player to qualify for the final table. Gotta have some sympathy for George Trigeorgis, who lost heads-up to Jones in the second round, losing with a full house to Jones" quads and then with trips to Jones" straight. Running like that, Jones must be favourite for the bracelet.
Edit: Chidwick and Ho have now also made it to the final table - the others are out.

Considering the shootout is a final table of 10.. Are we going with 10th+9th both scoring 2 points??
I"m happy with the majority or will leave it up to John to make final decision ;D

I should be on 177 John. Scored a points in event 39 and 40 since last points update
Considering the shootout is a final table of 10.. Are we going with 10th+9th both scoring 2 points??
I"m happy with the majority or will leave it up to John to make final decision ;D
2 points each sounds fair to me.

I"m betting it"s something like a penalty to one or even both of the players for exposing cards before showdown. But as you"ve posted it here, likely to be something more as well, maybe voiding the hand or something along those lines. Only other thing I can think of is the raiser being asked if he was supposed to be all in by the floor.
72 left in #41, the $1.5k Monster Stack. I can"t see any of our players in the live list, but only 50 are listed, so we could have someone. Old stagers TJ Cloutier & Donncha O"Dea are still in it.
71 left in #44, a $1k NLHE. Again, only half the field is listed and I just see one of our players, Deadman, showing in 4th place. There was an interesting situation not long ago in this: "...........the button player initially raises to around 30,000. The small blind folds and Dejan Boskovic tosses one chip into the pot and exposes his hand thinking the raiser is all in and that he has called the all in. The raiser is not all in, he has another 8,000 or so behind but he too exposes his hand. Both hands are face up on the table. The button raiser holds KT and Boskovic has KK. The floor rules that ........". I"d be curious to see if anyone can guess the ruling without checking it.

I was close then! What a stupid ruling though, making the player actually put the chips in. Although he probably would have done or should have done anyway. Not up to the floor to make the decision that he HAS to put his chips in if he didn"t want to. Should really have been given the option of passing on the hand, albeit leaving himself with 8k. In my opinion anyway.

The ruling was that the first player is all-in and he has to put in the other 8,000 pre-flop. Boskovic received a one-round penalty for being the first player to expose his hand. The KK held.

Hi John/Des..
Do Goliath token winners put alias on this thread??
If so alias

Many thanks
On FB it states I"ve won £70?!
I"m not sure how Des is handling it, ie whether he has enough details to match winners with their tokens online, or not. Prob best for others to wait for him to to clarify it before piling in.
Speaking of tokens, here are the total tokens won by everyone up to the WSOP Seniors Tournament:

Danzer wins this event for a second time, having previously finished first in 2014. If he wins it again next year, he can keep it. He was all-in for 300k with three left, when the other two had 4.4m and 2.2m, and should have been out, but hit a two-outer on seventh street to treble up and it went on from there.
This event was different, more like an APAT final table than WSOP, with the players actually having fun, instead of the usual robots. And they were impressive players. Randy Ohel was second, having already finished third, fourth, eighth and tenth this year. Bonomo bagged his second third place in three days, and has also had a 2nd place. Esther Taylor-Brady was fourth for her third top-11 finish, all in Hi-Lo. Eli Elezra was sixth for his seventh cash.
Luca picked the top two, extending his lead at the top.

Has anyone had there grosvenor tokens added to there account yet. Or does this happen at the end of staker?
STAKER
Are you a bit off the pace on the Staker leaderboard?
This is your chance to catch up quickly.
The high-roller events have been added to the Staker schedule:
#62 $25k PLO High Roller 6 July (today)
#67 $111k NLHE High Rolder 8 July
You have been given the buy-in for these two events. The winnings will be massive. And you get to keep whatever you win (okay, maybe not).
But, best of all, it is a chance to knock Simon off his perch. That"s enough reason for me.

Mercier"s triple-bracelet attempt looks likely to run out of track.
He has been trying hard, including multi-tabling, but not getting traction.
When the $10k PLO went on dinner-break with 65 left, he jumped into the $3k NLHE and doubled-up first hand. Then that one went on its last break of the night, so he left that stack to find its way to Day 2 and entered the $1.5k Triple Omaha, where he quickly ran his stack up. It didn"t work out in the end.
He just missed the cash in the Players Championship and, now, the Mercier-Barbour-Kanit-Weiman team has busted the team event and Jason has moved on to the $25k PLO. This is a four-day event and he is going well so far, so he will probably miss the $3k PLO Hi-Lo, which will leave the $111k NLHE as his final opportunity. Would he enter the Ladies event?
How ironic would it be if he won the bet with Selbst, with bracelet #3 in the Ladies event. I know it"ll cost him $10k, but I don"t see how he can turn the event down. I"m not sure I"d write him off in the main just yet, either. He might fill the Negreanu spot this year.

STAKER
YES, IT"S TRUE. The Stakers smashed it in the One Drop, winning over £9million!!!!, thanks to Fedor Holz.
Even without him, Stakers profited hugely by successfully identifying winning players. Between them, Niall Farrell, Dan Smith, Antonio Esfandiari, Scott Seiver, Adrian Mateos, Dario Sammartino and Sergio Aido added almost £1million to Stakers" bankrolls.
Full details in a bit.

Well my Fantasy Draft team is performing like Ian Witt, so my focus is now on the Staker comps.
I have to be honest I have no idea what can be won, or how I would win it, so I guess I"ll ask.
What does Top 10/5/1 in Staker Leaderboard win?
How do I find out how much (in £) I have won in Goliath tokens so far.
Can these Goliath tokens be used for APAT sats instead?
Thanks in advance

Hi Dann - Congrats on a fantastic result. I don"t think anyone was anticipating wins like that being possible.
You get to keep the amount you have won - in Goliath tokens. I thought that had been spelled out at the start, but maybe it wasn"t clear. At the end of the promotion, Des will transfer your £3,277,402 worth of tokens onto your account. Best of luck in qualifying.

That"s a lot of 25p sats!!
Has anyone had their tokens credited to their account yet? I completed the form last week but my account hasn"t been updated yet.

I"ll do a check later of every player"s points.
Maybe we"ll find that Irish Tom is actually in the lead.
I think Danny hAs had 4 wsop cashes not 2.
So Luca has a 21 point lead, which is probably unbeatable at this stage.

At the end of Day 3, there are 800 players remaining from the 6,737 entries.
1,011 players are being paid, but I can only see one of ours in the 211 who have already been to the payout counter - Scott Clements, who scraped into 1,007th place.
It hasn"t been good - most of our big names have gone. I may have missed some but, of the players we selected, these are only ones I can see who are still alive:

Any news on your big tip Mukul Pahuja John?
Staker Main Event £250 Prize.
Looks like theres now 4 players staked still in:
Tom Middleton 2 stakers for £2000 in total (presumably 14.35% each) currently 59th/80
James Obst 2 stakers for £8700 total (100% plus 25%?) 29th/80
Max Silver 2 stakers for £4000 (28.7% x 2) 39th/80
Paul Volpe 1 staker who has £1500 on (21.5%) 13th/80
I haven"t include anyone who has cashed already.
I know Carl has 28.7% of Silver. Whoever backed James Obst looks in pole position due to the %s taken.

With Volpe on his team, and cashes by Clements and Gorodinsky in the Main and Leah in #69, Barrie has a remote chance of catching Steve for third place. Kelly also cashed in the Main and Negreanu and Hastings cashed in #69, but they both have all of those.
Carl is guaranteed to finish second
and
Luca has won the competition, unable to be caught now.
Along with the cash prizes, Des has donated an APAT main event seat to the winner.
Congrats Luca .
"The day began with Tournament Director Jack Effel informing the players that Day 6 play will be comprised of five two-hour levels or until the field is down to the final 27 players, whichever comes first. If the final three tables are not reached at the end of five levels, play will continue until those tables are reached."
In other words, they are playing until they reach 27 players.
Is it me? Surely the above means that the number of levels doesn"t come into it.

Tom Feilding has 100% on Obst.

You gotta take some chances, and Tom took a chance by putting his whole stake on one player. That player was James Obst, when finished 13th, giving no-one else any chance of taking the prize.
Richard and Carl had percentages of Max Silver (33rd); Del had some of Paul Volpe (29th), while Alan and Ross had part of Tom Middleton (56th). Until those players were eliminated, it was still possible for their stakers to to win the £250, despite holding smaller shares, given the way the prize money accelerates as you climb the finishing places. The only one of the top group who couldn"t win it was Des, who had a smaller percentage of Obst, so could never finish ahead of Tom, once his other players were out.
Craig also went down the 100% route but, if you do that, you gotta choose the guy who"s going to be 13th, not 499th as luckychewy Andrew Lichtenberger was.
Congrats Tom!
