Dave Pilkington, upon discovering he is on the same table as Tony Trippier, says "I'm going to take your chips - be sure to put salt and vinegar on them for me, would ya?"

More on this throughout the day...

Bri Yates sits down, in Dublin, with 92 runners...and Gareth Howard sits down directly to his left!

Bri Yates is about to turn his cards over with a board of Jc 8s 2d 8d Qh and a sizeable pot.

Bri shows 9h 10d for the straight.
Schmit Yves chuckles and shows Ac A s and the pot goes to Bri.

Dawn Cooke, Tony Blee and Laura Rhoden are all on the same table...

Tony and Dawn get into a raising war pre flop with one other player.

9 high flop sees Tony bet 2200. The third player folds and Dawn calls.

The turn is Qh

Dawn bets 3500, Tony makes it 8k, Dawn calls (2nd or 3rd hand in here...)

River is 8d

Tony bets 6k.

Dawn talks for a while..."you can't have QQ...you just can't...I have to call"

Dawn has the Qc

Tony does indeed have Qd Qs

Dawn down to around 5k.

(Laura Rhoden and Tony Blee (left))

Laura Rhoden raises to 300, Jonas Witdoek makes it 1200, Dawn Cooke calls and so does Laura.

7s 2s 8d

Dawn and Laura check
Jonas bets 1500
Dawn's last 5100 goes in
Laura folds and Witdoek calls.

Dawn "I have nothing but I want to re enter ASAP) and shows Ad 7d

Jonas has Ac Ah

Dawn to dealer "Diamond please" 5d

Dealer to Dawn "Anything else?!"
Dawn "Another diamond please"... 8c

Dawn is off to re enter.

Tony Blee calls from under the gun.

It folds to Adam Smith who makes it 550.

Robin Cross and Stig Peeters make the call along with Tony.

Tony bets 1k the Qh 9d 6c flop

Adam raises to 4250.

Robin and Stig fold and Tony makes the call.

5d turn is checked by Tony

Adam bets 6500 and Tony fairly quickly calls.

Tony checks the 5h river and mucks to Adam's Ah Ac

Tony still with a healthy stack and Adam adds a significant amount to his.

Brian Yates with a raise to 425 pre.

He gets 3 callers - Luke Young, Hitendra Patel and Jerome Theis.

3h Jh 9d

Hitendra bets 625, Jerome folds, Bri calls, Luke folds.

3s turn

Hitendra leads out again for 1200

Bri thinks and then calls.

River is Qs

Hitendra fires the 3rd bullet - 2025

Bri thinks again before raising to 5500

Hitendra makes the call but he mucks when Bri turns over 9c 9h and Bri collects a nice pot.

There is a raising war pre between Danny Op' Hof and Christopher Holzel.

It culminates in Danny shipping for around 20k ove rthe top of a 7.5k bet from Christopher.

Christopher has a think and a little talk "You have Queens? I think you have Queens"
Danny responds by saying "you hope I have Queens, I think you have Ace King"

Christopher makes the call and does, indeed, show A s Kh

Danny shows the predicted Qd Qc

8h Js 7h 2d Kd

Danny doubles up and leaves Christopher with fumes.

Laura Rhoden is walking away from the table looking unhappy...she says that Stig Peeters has had about 4 lots of pocket aces in the first 2 levels so far!

And, having run her pocket Jacks into his aces ealier leaving her with less than 10k, she then runs Ac Kc into the same guy's Aces for the rest!!

She is bust but being consoled by the rest of the gang and something about "more time for drinking" or something...when in Ireland....

Dave Pilkington, having recovered from the disappointment of having to move table, is up to over 30k, he ships a 10c 7s 7h 6d board holding 10h 9d

He gets called by Aces! And hits the 10d on the river to double up.

Paul Shillibar sat on over 45k!

When asked what happened he just said "I've had pocket pair after pocket pair, I've had aces twice and they held, called and all in with AK and it held, had AA* on a J 10 Q board and had to call the other guys ship - he had AQ - it's just going really well"

Edited on correction - thanks Shill :)

Jimmy Vegas up to over 40k - when I asked how he got the chips he responded "I don't know to be honest, I put a sign on the table saying 'Donations welcomed gratefully' and everyone was generous!"

I am filled in on the actual details - 6 way to the flop, Jimmy open ships the Ac 3h 5h flop and is called by Mark Strahan.

Jimmy has Ad Ks
Mark has Ah 4h

No heart or deuce on turn or river and Jimmy gets the double!

Tracy Baggot makes it 1200 pre, with blinds at 200/400/400

Paul Clarke and Anne Cunliffe make the call.

Kh Qc 6d

Anne checks, Tracy bets 3k, Paul folds and Anne calls.

7c turn and Anne leads out this time for 3k, Tracy makes the call.

Anne checks the Qh river and thinks for a moment before folding to Tracy's bet of 6k.

Tracy takes a nice pot without going to show down.

Dawn Cooke limps under the gun with A s 7s. She is down to 12k following a few little losses. She is fairly sure the button, John Gillespie, will raise.

Two other callers and a raise comes in from John, on the button, as predicted.

4 go to the flop Ks 7c 4s

It is checked to the John, he bets 2k, Dawn raises all in for the rest of her stack.

The other 2 fold and John eventually makes the call with Kd 3h

9s turn and Dawn gets there meaning the Jh river irrelevant.

Dawn gets the double, John down to around 8k.

Bri Yates is headed for the PLO tournament - he says he lost a big hand not long after the break with Jh 10h on a 2 heart flop, he calls the guy's shove on the 10 turn but no heart on the river leaves him short stacked.

The rest of his chips go when the button raises and Bri looks down at Ac 10h and ships. He is called by the original raiser holding A s Qd and doesn't improve.

Danny Op't Hof back up to around 30k - AK v AQ all in pre holds up and he got a 4 bet fold pre with pocket kings from Dennis Prij's AK to add a little more.

----

Dawn winning a big hand - Raoul Cockelbergs makes it 1750
Robert Jones calls
Dawn rakes it up to 6k
They both call.

They both fold to Dawn's 10k bet on a 10d 5h 10c board.

Dawn shows A s Ac

Dawn limps under the gun.

Gerard Kelly raises to 3200.

It folds back to Dawn who makes it 10k

Gerard moves all in and has Dawn covered.

She quickly calls saying "If you have kings or aces then so be it" and turns Qs Qh

He does. He has Kh Ks

8s 7h 7s 8c 10d

Almost a chop but not to be and Dawn Cooke is bust.

Tony Blee has called the all in of Mark Elliot for 6200

Mark has Jc 9d

Tony is ahead with Ac 9c

8h Qd 5s flop gives Mark some extra outs

The 10s turn is one of them and the river 7h gives Mark the double up.

20k in the middle, the flop is 8h Jd Kc

Matthew Cromwell has moved all in for 9k.
Tracy Baggot makes the call.
Paul Sisson also calls.

9c turn

Tracy checks.
Paul ships for 13k
Tracy thinks for a while before calling with pain.

Tracy has Qc Jh
Paul has Qs 10s
Matthew shows Ah 6s

River is 6c and Paul takes the lot sending Matthew to the rail and leaving Tracy short stacked.

Brendan has Ad Kc
Karen needs some help holding Ac Jh

The board runs out 9s 3c 2c 10c 4d and Karen is sent to the rail.

Tony Trippier 4 bet ships with Jacks only to run into Mark England holding Aces! An ace on the flop for extra salt!!

TT has 800 back but loses them the next hand and is out.

(Tony and Mark hug it out... or is that Mark and Tony!?)

Around 15k already in the middle, Joe Gaynard has bet 6k on a 10d Qc 7d Jc Board and Craig Smith is debating his next move...

After a while, he moves all in and is instantly called by Joe...

Joe has Ah Kd and Craig has A s Ks

Qd River and they chop it up...

(Craig Smith (Left) and Joe Gaynard (Right))

Jacqueline Morgan is all in for 32,600 and Danny Op't Hof makes the call.

Jacqueline has Jh Jd

Danny has Ac Qd he needs to improve to avoid being left with fumes...

10d Jc Kd what a flop!! Danny flops Broadway and Jacqueline flops the set.

A s turn gives Jacqueline some more outs but the 8h river means she is eliminated and Danny all but doubles up.

Craig with Ks 10c

6c turn and 6s river mean that Craig adds to his already monstrous stack and Stephen Meehan is out.

Tony Blee makes it 4.5k pre, blinds at 800/1600/1600, Gareth Howard calls from the big blind.

3s 3h 8s

Gareth checks, Tony bets 7k and Gareth quickly calls.

A s turn sees Gareth lead for 11.5k and Tony calls.

They both check the Ac turn and Gareth announces "King high"
Tony shows Jc Js and says "two pair" and Gareth mucks.

Gareth Howard's rail relay the tale to me:

"I came to see him and said 'you're short stacked and in the small blind, get them all in mate'. So there's a few limpers, the button raises, Gazz then 3-bets and I'm thinking 'steady Gazz, what you doing?' One of the other guys shoves, Button gets out of the way and Gazz calls and has Aces! They hold and he doubles"

Gazz now on 155k.

There's about 15k in the pot and a board of Kh Qh 7c

Craig Daly checks
Tony Blee checks
Gazz Howard bets 6k
Craig folds
Tony raises it to 13k
Gazz takes a while before folding.

Tony adds that to his stack and brings him to around 184k with the average stack at 90k

Gerard Hegarty calls the shove of Rick Huevel

Gerard has 8h 8d

Rick with two overs, hoping to improve, holding Ah Qd

Rick shakes his head at the 2s 10s 3d flop, by the 4d turn he is preparing to leave and the Kc river seals it.

Rick Huevel busts.

Nye Venables raises to 5k pre and Andy Van Houten makes the call.

8s 3s 4c

Both check

Turn is Ah

Both check again

River Ad

Andy bets 8500

Nye considers for a minute and then asks the dealer to pass him the "all in" triangle.

Andy says "Don't give him it!" in protest at the move but the dealer ignores him.

Andy folds 3d and Nye adds to his stack.

Around 40k in the pot already and the flop is Ks 9s 10s

Gareth Howard has checked and Bartlomiej Grabowski moves all in for around 200k

Gazz has a dilemma "you can't have aces with the ace of spades, can you? I can't be drawing dead"

Bartlomiej responds by checking his cards and telling Gazz "I'll show if you fold"

Gazz spends a while longer thinking before folding and showing Js

Bartlomiej shows 10c 10h

Gazz "I'd have called if I'd known you had that, I had a king with it"

Bartlomiej adding even more chips to his stack.

Kevin Greathead is all in.

It folds to Edward O'Reilly who calls with a smaller stack.

Kevin has 6d 6c and around 2k more than Edward who has Ah 9c

A s first card over. Followed by the 4s and the 6s

9s turn, no one has any spades, Edward needs an ace or a 9 to stay in the game...

Ac Edward doubles and reduces Kevin to fumes.

Kevin Greathead (3rd from left)

There's over 140k in the middle and the board is Ac 5s 2d 3d 9d

Craig Daly puts Michael Farrelly all in on the river, 57k, and he instantly calls and turns Ad 6d

Michael up to over 280k.

Craig Daly raises in mid position to 12k

Edward O'Reilly moves all in for around 30k.

It folds back to Craig - "I don't want to lose my image but...I think I have to call..."

He then quickly throws in a call and turns his cards and hangs his head.

Edwards has Kh Qh

Criag has 4s 2c

His head is still in his hands as the 4d 3d 3h 2c Jc board.

He looks up just in time to see a very disgruntled Edward standing and leaving the table...

20 minutes of the penultimate level left.

Ave 130k, blinds 2k/4k/4k

Craig Daly makes it 12k and gets called by Paul Sisson on the button and Michael Farrelly in the big blind.

Kc 10c 9c flop

Michael checks.

Craig bets 33k

Paul moves all in.

Michael quickly folds, Craig quickly calls and turns 6c 7c

Paul sighs and taps the table as he turns Qh Jc - still outs for him though

Ad turn and Js river are not helpful to Paul and he busts in 30th place. 23 get paid, just under an hour of play left...

Andy Van Houten is all in and has been called by Michael Farrelly

Michael has Andy covered and is ahead with A s Qs

Andy has Ah 8c

Jd 9d 10s hope for Andy...

6c almost...7s there it is!

Andy doubles up to around 200k

Brendan on a roll!!

He raises with Qc Jh and Dennis Prij calls.

8s 9d 7c flop is checked by him and Dennis.

J turn and Dennis leads for 12k, Brendan ships for around 50k, Dennis calls and shows Qs 9c and doesn't improve, Brendan up to around 120k.

VERY NEXT HAND and Robert Pearce raises to 15k in mid position.

Brendan makes it 45k and it folds to Robert. He moves all in.

Brendan asks for a count but can see quickly that it is small enough for him to call - around 60k and he does.

Brendan shows Ad Qh
Robert has Qc 10c

8d 6d 3d flop is great for Brendan who looks set to knock Robert out and significantly increase his stack 4 from the cash...

Jd turn seals it and Robert is o his feet before the 6h river.

He shakes Brendan's hand and is out of the tournament.

26 remain, 23 paid, 27 minutes of play left tonight...

Ac 6h 3c flop and Colum Horan has moved all in and it is on to Mark England - he is covered if he calls, he will be at risk.

He calls and turns A s Qh
Colum has 6c 9c

4h Kd Mark England doubles to over 250k - now he has more than 1/4 of his stack, he assures me he will no longer be grumpy :)

Colum Moran has moved all in and has been called by Bartlomiej Grabowski and Robert Jones

Jc 4d 4c Ks 8h is checked down.

The A s 2s of Bartlomiej and is enough to knock Colum Moran out and put the tournament in hand for hand play with 16 minutes remaining.

Gerrit Jan Blanckaert calls the all in of Gerard Hegarty

Gerard has Ad Kh

Gerrit shows Ah 5c

5d first card out! Gerard now needs to improve or he will be bubble boy...

4c 3h King to double up, deuce to chop, Gerard needs one...

7c turn...Qc river!

The bubble bursts with the exit of Gerard Hegarty.

The remaining 23 players will all finish for the night now. They will bag and tag ready to return tomorrow for a 12:00 noon start.

Chip counts to follow.

A despondent Gerard departs on the Bubble...

We lose Paul Clarke in the age old cooler - he ships under the gun with Kings and runs into the big blind's Aces.

He finishes in 23rd place for €225.

Over on the 'outer' table 8, Joe Gaynard finds himself with 25k and ships it with Ac 9s - Craig Daly finds himself committed and makes the call holding Jh 6s

Flop 4c 3s 10s Turn 5s and of course the inevitable River 7c to give Craig the straight and Joe departs in 22nd place for €225

Back on Table 1 and a raise from the BB of 6k to 24k is made by Michael Farrelly, with Bartlomiej Grabowski pushing All In over the top and having Michael covered - and Michael reluctantly makes the call with his 61k total stack...

Michael Ks Js and Bart Ad Kd

Flop 9s 6s 2h gives Michael the Flush draw but with Bart still ahead, Turn Jh and River 8s and Michael takes the pot for a nice double up.

Table 1 full of action today -

Tony Blee raises to 16k and is called by Jan Blanckaert.

Ac 5h Qc Tony continues for 18k and Jan calls.

Qh turn.

Jan calls the 20k bet from Tony and they get 3h river.

Tony bets 35k and Jan quickly calls.

Tony shows Kd Qd and chuckles when Jan turns the Kh Qs

Chop it up.

Michael's Ac 3s was already behind to Tony's Ad 9h and the 9c on the flop gave Michael slim hope of surviving.

Michael departs in 19th place for €245.

Andy Van Houten, short stacked with around 80k, moves all in in mid position.

Brendan Byrne makes the call and instantly shows Ac A s

Andy sighs and shows Qd 9s

Jc 10c 3d

Andy's rail are loving the sweat on this flop

Again on the outer table 8 we see action... and again Craig Daly is involved... I arrive at the table with the Board showing
4d 9h Jd Ks and first to act Andy Van Houten bets 36k... Craig counts out his chips... announces raise and moves his pile of purple 5k chips over the line (about 60k) and then proceeds to push the remaining red 1k chips over the line (about 90k).... dealer calls it a 'min raise' (first action was to move 60k over the line which counted as the raise) - Craig counts out the min amount of 72k - Andy folds...

Tony Blee raises and calls the re raise "all in" of Bartlomiej Grabowski

Tony has Ad Kc

Bartlomiej shows 10h 10s

6c 8d 4c flop looks good for 10's

5c Bartlomiej needs to avoid the club, king or ace to survive. He calls for a 7

It takes him a moment to realise that the 10c river isn't a good card for him. Tony makes the flush and adds the 110k to his stack.

Bartlomiej finishes in 17th €270

The pot is around 60k, blinds are 6k/12k/12k, average is 350k, the board so far is 3h Js Jd Qs

Mark England checks.
Craig Daly bets 50k
Mark ships for just over 150k
Craig tanks for a while, counts out the call and what he'd have left, and makes the call.

Mark has Jh 9h and is ahead but at risk to the A s 4s of Craig.

7s

Craig hits the flush on the river to bust Mark England in 11th place for €375.

Play is now in hand for hand play for final table of 9.

A hand or 2 later and Craig and Robert go to it again.

Craig moves all in
Robert asks for the count - 169k extra. He calls.

Robert laughs as he sees that his A s Qh is up against the Ac Qc of Craig.
