First hand, Debbie Kimm raises under the gun and finds 2 callers.

They check the 6s 9s 10s flop, Debbie bets the 2h turn and gets two callers.

She bets again on the 3h river and takes it down adding around 1k in the first hand.

Shug Cairnie, who 'hasn't had Kings or Aces for so long...' finds aces in one of the first hands of the day. With a raise under the gun and bets on every street he loses to David Ash's 4d 5s makes two pair.

"Sigh"

Richard Baker and Susie Pearson are en route to a fall out! Rich turns the straight but Susie's two pair become a flush on the river and she scoops the pot.

Ger Smyth wins a smallish pot on the river. He calls 250 on the river with the board 8d Kc 4d 10d 7s and shows Kd Jc to take the pot.

A raise pre flop to 400 gets 4 callers so 5 go to the flop of Ks 8s 7h

Craig Simpson bets 600 and Karl Bursford calls - the rest fold.

6h turn is checked by Karl and Craig bets 1025. Karl calls.

River is 7s and Karl bets 2400. Craig spends a minute thinking before folding.

His battle cry to his friend on the table opposite of "Get the boat and the rods oot mate..." is heard across the bay...

An UTG raise from Ken McBride invokes a flurry of action...

Steve Roderick 3-bets

a 4-bet comes from 'Mr Scottish Guy'

Ken 5-bets...

and Steve 6-bets All In....

Scottish guy folds..

Ken tanks... and folds showing KK

Scottish guy shows QQ...

Of course Rodders shows AA....

Darren Gelsthorpe makes it 500 and gets two callers - one of whom is Craig Simpson.

6s 7d 4h flop is checked to Darren who bets 1200.

Craig re-raises to 3525. It folds back to Darren. He thinks for a while and looks pained.

He eventually fold 8h 8s face up and Craig mucks his cards and scoops the pot...

Shug Cairnie beckons me over - "David Ash - who cracked my Aces with four five off suit, just cracked my Kings with Ace five off suit by hitting the straight! I've decided I only want rubbish hands from now on"

He is still in but fairly short stacked.

Only in Level 2 with blinds 50/100.

At least Shug (left) (and Don) are still smiling...

Andy Hall has been filling me in on some of the drama at his table!

QQ v JJ v KK v 67 with multiple raises pre and the flop comes 774 !!

QQ v KK all in pre flop and the Queen drops to beat Kings.

KK v J8 and the flop comes K88 and all the chips go in.

He is having fun trying to dodge the chaos and keep up - "Live poker is rigged!!!"

And our Irish Silver Medalist Nye Venables hits the rail...

After a raise to 450 from seat 1, Nye makes it 1400 in the Blinds and gets 2 callers... 1 of them Tommy Lievens a late entrant and recently sat down at the table...

Flop 7 4 7 and Nye checks as does Tommy in mid position and Seat 1 bets 2.5k

Nye shoves his 11k and Tommy calls and Seat 1 folds QQ

Tommy shows 6 7 and Nye tables K K

Tommy improves to Quads....

Tommy Lievens...

I arrive at the table on a Flop of 8s 9c 5s and Shug Cairnie has pushed All In

Dave Kingswell and Jon Young remain in the hand and Dave has asked for a count... circa 11k... after deliberation Dave makes the Call only for Jon to ship over the top... only about another 5k ish so Dave makes the call...

Shug Ah 9d.... Dave 10s Js... Jon A s 6s

Turn 3s gives Jon the Nut Flush and the irrelevant 8h River sends Shug to the Rail...

Jon on just under 50k and Dave reduced to around 35k

10s 6h 7d 10h Kh

Sebastiano Scarcelli and Pip Arthur both call the short stack's ship pre.

They then proceed to bet like crazy on a Js 6h Jh flop resulting in Pip being all in and Sebastiano calling.

Short stack shows 8c 3c

Sebastiano shows Qc Jc

Pip has A s Jd

The Ks turn and 10s river don't change anything - Short stack busts, Pip double, Sebastiano left with around 6k.

Flop 10c 9c 9h and it's bet to the Turn 5c

Checked to Dave who bets and Scott flats to see a River 8h

Dave is left with 8k when his pocket 5's have run into the Full House of Scott holding 8 9 suited - Scott on circa 75k

The board pairs and Scott's rivered full house sends Wouter to the rail.

There is a raise to 1600 pre with blinds at 300/600/600 and several callers see a flop of 5h 10s 5s

Ken McBride bets 4k

Andy Hall raises it to 11k

Even Sonsterubraten re-raises all in - he has the others covered.

Ken sighs and thinks and sighs and folds.

Even turns to Andy and says "We are heads up, now we can talk. I don't think
I am ahead but I have a good hand"

Andy "You don't have pocket 10's then?" and makes the call.

Even has 7s 5c

Andy with the nut flush draw holding A s 3s

8s turn Andy hits the flush!

Ger Smyth and re raises Nico Scheer's pre flop bet.

Nico flats and the flop comes Ac 3h x

All the chips go in with Ger holding A s Kd and Nico with Ah 3d

No help for Ger on turn or river and his stack is decimated - he is out not much later.

Having just tripled up to around 35k, Maggie Hall is moved tables.

She sits down directly to the left of the button and is dealt out of the first hand so she pops out for a minute.

When she comes back, the dealer is in the middle of the deal but hasn't dealt Maggie in - mis deal.

When she gets her cards, she looks down at Ah Ks

She raises and gets called by Stuart Bell.

The flop is Ace high so she bets out and gets a call again.

She decides she will jam no matter what the turn and the 6d seems reasonably safe, so, jam she does.

She is instantly called by Stuart holding Ac 6c

No help on the river and Maggie is out. Stuart up to over 100k.

With blinds at 600/1200/1200, Jon Young re-ships for around 20k over the top of Manuel Morgado Da Silva Saiao Lopes' raise
with Ac 9s

Manuel calls holding 8s 8h

He has Jon covered and with no aces or nines for Jon, he is out.

He then ships with Ad 7d but gets called by Js Jc and doesn't find an ace and is eliminated.

Dave Kingswell has had his big blind raised a few times by the same guy.

Dave is back in the big blind and the same guy min raises.
The small blind calls
Dave has A s Jh and makes the call.

They all check the 6s Js Qd flop

Small blind bets 7k on the Jd turn, Dave ships for around 35k
Original raiser snaps and small blind folds.

Raiser shows Qh Qs and reduces Dave to an ante - 1200.

---

A few hands and one double up later, he is all in pre with 2 callers.

They check to the river 2c 10s 3h Ad 3c

One of the callers bets and one folds.

3s 4c is enough to beat Dave's Kd 8d and Dave is out of the tournament.

Elio has Qc Qs

Ken gets there with the flush and doubles up to around 110k.

Craig Simpson and Pip Arthur get involved in a hand -

No raise pre flop and they both see a flop of A s 6d Jh

Craig bets 7.3k
Pip makes the call

They both check turn and river of Qc 2c

Pip shows Jd 8d

Craig has Ah 8h - "Why didn't you put the 8 out dealer!!"
Pip - "You get a whole lot more of my chips if the 8 comes down!!"

Craig takes the pot, smiles all round.

Di Farrell puts all of her stack across the line...apart from 200.

The dealer announces her "all in" but she corrects him.

Gerard Keenan doesn't quite hear, flicks a chip in and turns over Qh 6h

He realises and Di's cards stay covered.

10d 5d Jd flop

Di checks

Js turn

Di puts the last 200 in and shows 8s 8h

Jh river Di doubles up to over 35k

And first to hit the rail today is Mark Graham who was lucky enough to find Ks Kh and shoved AIPF, and was called by David Masters with Ac Kd - Mark making it all the way to the River with the Board 3d 4d 5s 3c only for the A s to drop on the River

David Masters involved again - this time he doubles up James Poulter who is AIPF holding A s Ks and David's Ad Jc couldn't improve...

Kev Morris finds A s Jc and ships his short stack over the line when he calls the AIPF bet from Lise Wettavik - Lise tables Jd Js and with no help on the Board Kev hits the rail

Steve 'Smiter' Smith started Day 2 with 48,500 chips and he finds himself shoving his stack after 30 minutes of play with
Blinds 1500/3000 - holding Qh 8h - Mairko Willsch makes the call with Ad Qs and despite the Flop of 9h 10d 3s, and Turn 7d giving Steve some more hope, the River 5d keeps Mairko ahead and Steve is eliminated

Lise Wettavik on 48,500 is AIPF against Remo Divito who has Lise covered

Lise Ac 2h and Remo Ad Kc

Flop Jh 5s 10s with Turn 2c putting Lise ahead and she stays ahead with 3s River for a Double Up

--------

At the same time, over on Table 5 we have another Double Up

Gerard Keenan is All In on the Turn 10d 9s 7d 2c

Valfer Affatato makes the call holding 9c 8s with mid pair and an open-ended straight draw, but Gerard tables Ad Ac and the River 10s doubles his stack

Plenty of action so far - 15 minutes into the 2nd level of Day 2 with Blinds 2000/4000 and down to 49/338 players remaining...

Rusen Mat has 10k and it's All In on a Board 9s 10s 6d with Rusen holding Jd 9c - Rolf Bechstrom makes the call with Jh 10h and the Board runs out 5d Js to knock Rusen out

Rolf then makes the call when Mario Scholz is AIPF - Rolf ahead with Ad 9h to Mario's Kc 9d with no help on the Board and Mario departs

Meanwhile Andy Hall gets a Double Up of his short stack from 30k to 60k ish when he shoves with 4c 4d and Pip Arthur makes the call holding Qs Qd..... 4h in the window is enough...

And Ken McBride is involved in action as well - he raises and re-raises AIPF holding QQ only to run into AA of Joseph Drummy and Ken hits the rail

Kev Simpson raises pre-flop and Frank Stockhaus makes the call - Flop 7d 2s 6d and it's checked to the Qd Turn

Frank calls the 10k bet of Kev to see a River 5d

Kev bets 25k only to see Frank shove over the top All In and at risk if Kev calls - which of course he does holding Ad 9d for the Nut Flush - Frank shows Kd 10d... oooouch

Rolf Bechstrom sees more action - this time he makes the call to the AIPF of Jonathen Cullagh - Kev Simpson tank folds showing Jh Js

Rolf Ac Qs and Jonathen 4s 4c - Qc comes on the Flop and Rolf stays ahead to knock out Jonathen

Elsewhere, Di Farrell gets involved when All In UTG holding Ac Js - Craig Simpson finds Ad Kh so makes the call and is at risk - Di doesn't improve and is reduced to circa 10k - Craig increases his stack to circa 110k

Di Farrell came into Day 2 with 80,500 chips, just below average stack...

With QQ on the Button she gets a call from Craig Simpson holding A6 for the extra 6k and holds and increases to over 25k

Down to 8k she finds Ah Jh and gets a Triple Up when it holds against the Qc 8d of Ste Craik and the Jc 10s of Scott Berridge (checked down)

In the BB Di is All In for 5k and is called by Remo Divito and Lise Wettavick on the Button - Js Kc Qh 8c 9h and Remo shows A s 7d - Lise 9c Jd and Di departs just before the 1st break with 41 remaining

Andy Hall only sees the A s in his hand but that is enough and he moves his stack, around 25k across the line.

With blinds at 4k/8k/8k the big blind, Tomas Lind, makes the call holding 3c 4c

The flop is Kd Qh 4s Andy goes behind and is at risk

10d turn

Js river - Andy backs into Broadway! His second card is irrelevant and he doubles to just over 60k.

Jacob Dideriksen ships in the small blind for around 70k

Gary Miller, in the big blind, wakes up with Ad A s and snap calls.

Jacob has 9c 8c but has Gary covered.

9d 2c 6c

Great flop for Jacob but he is still behind

4h turn

9h river - the entire table, including Jacob, groans and Gary is sent to the rail.

Trifon Pappas moves his stack across the line from under the gun.

It folds to Lise in the big blind "If I have Aces, I have to call..."
She looks at her cards and groans then asks "How much is it?" - 95k

She makes the call and shows Ac Kh
Trifon looks defeated and taps the table as he turns over Ah 10d he is behind and at risk.

Jc 7c 3c 5d 5c

Lise sends Trifon to the rail and we are now on the bubble and hand for hand.

Allan Aasterud departs in 34th for €150 and Thomas Lind and Pip Arthur are AIPF - Pip at risk with 49k but his 10s 10h holds against Ad 5h and Pip Doubles Up - Soon after Thomas Lind raises with A9 and Andy Hall makes the call with 10h 8h - Flop is A 8 10 rainbow and Andy ships - Thomas calls and 9 on Turn and A on river eliminates Andy in 33rd for €150

A flurry of action ensues with the departure of several players:

32nd Perez Fernandez €150
31st Craig Rose €150
30th James Poulter €150
29th Jan Carlsen €150
28th Gerard Keenan €150

While Risto Hentunen bets 65k pre-flop, Dawn Wilson ships for 72k and 'Rinty' Monaghan ships all in over the top for around 200k - Risto tanks but eventually folds Qh Qd and Dawn turns over Ac Qc - Rinty has A s Ks

Board 5h 4d 2h 7h 9c - Risto misses an opportunity as Rinty scoops the lot and Dawn departs in 27th for €180 - almost immediately followed by Lise Wettavik in 26th for €180

Chris Hibbered hits the rail in 25th, with John Vella in 24th Jean-Pierre Cassar finishing 23rd - all for €180

Meanwhile on a table far, far away...

In a limped pot the Board is 6h 6s Kd which draws a 26k bet from Christian Pieper - which enduces a 'ship it' from Scott Berridge in the Big Blind for 50k - with Jon Kyte making the call - as does Christian

4h on Turn is checked  to a Jd River where Jon bets 45k and Christian gets out of the way - John flips over Qd 6c (having hit trip 6's on Flop) only for Scott to table 2d 6d and Jon's Qd plays to take the pot and Scott departs in 22nd for €180

On 13k Craig is again All In, this time with 3 callers...

Checked to the River... Qs 9s 3h 4s Ac and Craig's 7c 7d loses to the River Ac with Risto Hentenen holding 5d Ad - Craig finishes in 21st for €180

Angelo Ks 10c for top 2 pair.... Ignazio Jh 9h for a Gut Shot - which duly arrives with Qs on Turn and River 2s sends Angelo to the rail in 19th for €180

Board 9s Qs 6s 4h and Ac River gives Christian the Double Up

On a Board Ad 8c Qd Christian is All In and Flavia Gomes calls holding A s 7s - Christian holding 10d Js

4c on River and Ignazio bets 175k with Flavia insta calling and showing Qc 9c for top 2 pair - Ignazio flips over 4d 4s

Not long after and the pot is 200k on a Board 9s 6c 8h 8s 8c and Flavia bets 180k with Jacob Dideriksen making the call and Rinty Monaghan folding

Flavia turns over Qs Qd only to see Jacob flip Ah Ad - Rinty folded pocket 2's...

Flavia Gomes bets 41k on a Board 10s Ah Qs 5c, with xx pushing All In over the top - with Flavia at risk she eventually folds with circa 80k behind

Next hand Flavia in mid-position with Blinds 8k/16k(16k) pushes her 85k into the middle and it folds around for her to scoop the 40k pot pre-flop
