Welcome to APAT Brighton for the English Amateur Poker Championship, with the following weekend schedule, and the Main Event kicking off today at 14:30 with Lucy Amos and I updating/blogging throughout Day 1 and Day 2.

BB bets, Dawn raises, BB calls.

BB insta jams the 6c turn and Dawn makes the call only to see him turn 5d 8d

The river is irrelevant and Dawn is sent to the rail.

Debbie Kimm running well when she runs Kings into Kings but hits the flush to win the hand.

Joe Carr-Hill not running so well. He ships an 8 high flop with Ac Ad but is called by a villain who hits his flush on the river and eliminates Joe.

Steven replies "I do have ace high"

Neil Peters also finds a double up to circa 168k when AIPF with Qd Qc which holds against Matt Carey's Jh Jd

We return from the break during which Neil Peters found himself the short stack of the 17 players remaining, with 78k / 7.8 BBs and on finding 5c 5h dealt to him, he ships it all in pre flop to be at risk to Own Rofail, sitting on 730k and holding Kh 10d

Daniel Byrom, our chip leader at the last break on 770,000 makes the call with Ah Js

Turn 8d and River 2d however and we lose Dan in 16th place.

Flop is 4h Js 2d and Mahmood Bakhshaee ships his stack.  Gediminas Aleksanravicius makes the call holding 6s 6d, with Mahmood flipping over 10c 10h which holds for a Double Up.
