how do the points work? i ran pocket kk into aces that was me done oh well hopefully better next one

I hope so too honey.
Points are scored by the last 10 players in each game, with 10th getting 1 point, 1st 10 points etc. These points are then added up depending on which team you play for so it important to get as many team members onto the final table as possible. The highest 3 teams then get either 1point for 3rd, 2 for 2nd and 3 for first which are added up over the 10 week league. It sounds complicated but isnt really :-)

As Colin has said, it"s never too late to join up with the league.
Find your nearest club and provide your details and you can start playing from this Sunday.
I too wish to sign up for my nearest club so I can play in the online league, but I am afraid the "how to" on this forum is anything but intuitive. It has taken me a fortnight to remember my username and password just to get into the forum, in spite of messaging the forum admins and other key members of the APAT and getting no help.
As I do not know how to find my nearest club I and join it am hoping my nearest club will find me and induct me into their team. I am in the South West in Gloucester so I assume my nearest peer group is Bristol. I came 3rd in the last APAT online championship. Whatever team would like me as a member I am happy to join up with them. This could be Cardiff or Birmingham or even Swindon if such teams exist. At present I do not know how to join a team, and my eyes are streaming sore from reading so much text already I will have to knock it on the head for now.

Welcome, errrr back, to APAT. Glad you sorted your login. As I mentioned in my facebook message to you, I think Bristol is probably the nearest club for you.

Ok to be fair Joe is a wee bit iffy. I know him from Bristol meetup games but going by his facebook profile he goes to Cardiff Uni and tbh i dont know where he actually lives.
I will pm him and try to clear this up.
There are 4 seats up for grabs and with Cardiff in the running I dont want any controversy to ruin what has been a fantastic league.

I was at Cardiff 4 years ago, I"ve just graduated from UWE and have lived in bristol for past 3 years. Tom will confirm this if needs be. Definitely don"t live in cardiff though!

I can vouch Joe is a totally valid Bristol player - he plays meetup games.
I havent played all season so he is as much of a ringer as I am.

right just seen that my post was taken the wrong way
it was meant as a bit of banter which was going on during the last tournament when there were 4 bristol players at the final table and 2 cardiff .
I know Suzanne (the bristol captain) fairly well (thru playing the apat tournaments) and I know she wouldnt advocate any cheating and I know the fact the a bristol player joining is coincidence as opposed to any actual cheating
I withdraw my ringer comment as it was meant as a joke and obviously touched a nerve and I dont want the final game of the tournament to be spoiled by bad feeling. I think if you speak with suzanne about this she will back me up.
I will be playing tommorrow and if Cardiff dont win well thats life , I dont play the Apat tournaments for anything other than to test myself against decent opposition and to improve my game and most of all cos I enjoy it.
