Club Captain

Bolton Poker Club will be captained by Steve Talbot.

Steve has been a long time supporter of APAT. He finished 3rd in season one"s Player of the Year rankings, and has cashed in 4 APAT National events, including 3 top tens.

It"s great to have you on board, Steve.

Many thanks,

Ian

Ian - due to the astonishingly high turnout for Bolton  ::) would it be best to change allegiance to Manchester?

Not sure that the wife and I will have much impact otherwise
;D

There"s still just over 3 weeks to go before the start of the season, Peter, and it"s less than 2 weeks since we started accepting sign ups to teams.

I"m sure we"ll have a Bolton team that"s competitive before the start.

Good question Martin. The tourneys will definitely be passworded, but we"ve not discussed how that password will be distributed yet. Your suggestion sounds logical, though. Watch this space........  8)

OK - the National League is almost upon us.  Round 1 is this Sunday, 8pm.

You can register on BlueSQ now, and you"ll need the following password:

leaguepl

(This will be the password for the rest of the season).

Feel free to forward the password, but remember players must be signed up to a club before they play.  Club registration remains open for the whole of the season.

IF A NEW PLAYER HAS NOT REGISTERED FOR A CLUB ON THE FORUM, BY 8PM ON A MATCH DAY, THEY WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO EARN POINTS FOR THEIR CLUB IN THAT WEEK. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

hi all how many more players was in this club last season?

is there any more players in from Darwen?
Title: Re: Bolton Poker Club - General Discussion
Post by: HaworthBantam on January 30, 2009, 21:15:12 PM

I"m sure the Darwen players will make themselves known to Peter.....

As for how many players played last season, this league didn"t exist last season. This is a totally new APAT venture, which we"ve started off on line but hope to take live next season, hence the need for folk to sign up to their local club.

We"re hoping that with you, your team mates and all the other clubs involved, we can make this a success that we can build on for next season.

Hi guys,

Ian has asked me to take up the captains role for the Bolton team and I"ve decided to take up his offer.

Guess I"m a veteran in APAT events, after finishing in overall 3rd place in Season One and have 3 APAT live event final tables and another last 2 tables under my belt.

I can be found here or on EMS where I post under SteveDaRake, so if anyone has any questions or whatever drop me a bell either here or on EMS.

I can see myself (PayDaRake), oneil69 and APATRIOTS reg"d so far for tonight, so come on get it done and get reg"d :) pw is leaguepl

Sorry but I"m losing the plot with online poker! - never seen so many bad beats in my life in such a short space of time!

Within 12 hands I watched pocket queens lose 7 times - 6 times to inferior hands pre-flop - last of the seven was me! - finished 61st I think. This is not me saying I always lose to bad beats, cos I inflicted one last night as well! - pocket 8s against pocket kings and my 8s hit a straight! - I play live poker reasonably often and I appreciate you see bad beats all the time, but not as many in so few hands!!!

Just me moaning but I think I need a break from on-line poker.
