All APAT National Championships are fully dealer dealt with no registration fee.  A buffet is also provided for all players on day one.

This is all done courtesy of our sponsors, Blue Square Poker.  Giving value back to amateur poker players.

Wow, did I last as long as midnight ?

No joy, but it was a great weekend.

Well done on qualifying last night.  Look forward to catching up in Bolton, make sure you say hello.

Im thinking about playin at this main event at Bolton. Can I just turn up at the casino on the day and buy in directly into this tournament or is it wiser to do it online so I get a seat? Oh yeah is this a one or two day event?
Man i"m gonna have to drive 3 hours to get here so i better make sure i win this thing lol.

There is no direct buy-in available from the venue for these events.  If you wanted to turn up on the day, then there will be an alternates list available, but you would need to be there early.

All APAT National Championships have online satellites via Blue Square.  For this event, the last one is tonight at 8pm.

Failing securing a seat that way, the remaining seats are sold via www.apat.com this Thursday at 9pm.

A link will appear on the homepage and then it really is fastest fingers first to get your details and payment through.

First come first served.

Good Luck, and welcome to APAT

Leigh

It"s for 200 runners if you don"t win a seat in tonights satellite suggest you are sat at your pc at 9 o"clock on Thursday as sometimes the seats sell out within a few minutes. Have your credit  debit card at hand and be ready to type fast! 200 is at the higher end of runners so I"d expect that those trying at 9 o"clock sharp should be ok. But these have proved to be popular events, so you need to be quick.

Good luck

That really depends Steve.

If you post your card number, expiry date and security code on this thread, then I will be able to confirm one way or the other.  It will also be really useful if you have a large available credit limit on the card.

Clickfest awaits then........!

Last one I was in was Dublin which proved to be the most frustating 40 minutes of my life!  Has the processed been fixed/improved since then or should I still expect the white screen?  ;D

Good luck all!

www.apat.com has a new streamlined landing page.  If you log on, you can see it now.  This should help ease the pain on the server when a few hundred people start constantly refreshing from 8:55pm

The link will be on this landing page and not the main site page.  You still access it via www.apat.com though.

This should solve the previous problems.

Unless you have set up your DTD Direct Debit in time, whilst instructing your bank to pay any winnings into your Blonde Poker offshore account.

If these steps have not been put into place by now, then the only form of payment acceptable will be cash delivered to the door of Mr D Duffy.  Get there early because thats one mighty long driveway at Duffy Towers and he doesn"t open the gates to just anyone.

Hmm...OK slightly confused ???

I See the page and link you are talking about.  I click on that and it asks for the player name - obviously this can"t be down untill 9pm but what will change on that page so we know it"s live or is it a case of entering your name each time and clicking enter?

Probably being thick!

No pressure then Suz.

From memory, the choices are :-

Delta (Visa)
Electron
Maestro

If you just have a standard debit card without the Electron or Maestro logos, then you use Delta but do not need to put a start date or issue no. in. (So, just card no., expiry date, security code etc. )

I think that is right.  Anyone want to confirm ?

Real names please. (Or the real name of the person you are buying in for - The name entered doesn"t need to be the same as the cardholder, if that makes sense)

To save searching through loads of threads can someone please remind me what I have to do so my dodgy debit card works again please.

"Cough"

Hope we both get in pokernuts as it would be nice to meet you :-)

PS Dont forget the game on Sunday.

Can anyone confirm that I will be able to pay by Solo card ?

To be honest, I"m not sure.  If you want to be safe, use another debit card that is either Delta, Electron or Maestro.

It"s this online buy-in, where we have to "click" on the computer to get a seat.

One of the members, i believe, called it a "click-fest" and it caught on and has stuck.

It"s an interesting experience requiring quick fingers, a good connection, extreme patience and no cock-ups on the merchants part.

One out of four will normally get you in.

Still a few seats left guys and I am just about to post on the forums.  Everybody who has bought in to this point definitely has a seat.  Duncan, I have noted your position and if anyone else has had a card failure, I can note their postion also.

Des 3 of my mates got apparent card failures (all with Lloyds) Simon Longley/Danny Watson/Paul Greenleaf. Can you check their "position"

If seats are still available the above 3 all want to buy in. Im not sure what the card problem is but i can personally guarantee their buyins. (If you can set aside 3 seats ill happily pay with my own card)

Does no1 else think it"s kinda stupid to only have 200 seats at this event.
I was gonna try join the click fest to get a seat for this intresting event which i would love to play it but i cant get the time off work 4 it so i cant play it. Nxt year tho!!!
but hopefully nxt year they will have more seats as it"s blaintly obvious that this event is attracting alot of attention from all over the UK and outside the UK too!
Maybe they should take some ideas from other events and have Day1A n Day1B for this event for nxt time?
Title: Capacity

I"m sure the g casino bolton would love to hold more than 200 but they probably haven"t got time to apply for planning permission for an extension. As for 2 day 1"s. Just remember that apat is run by volunteers with full time jobs.

I"m afraid it has.

The only ways to get a seat now is either on the seat exchange or turning up as an alternate on the day.

I am also looking forward to my 1st APAT this weekend. The event being held in my home town was too good an opportunity to miss.
I will be there to enjoy myself and I"m sure that I will learn a thing or two along the way.

I have been attending a few b&m tourneys since I registered online as I had previously had little experience of "live games.
I have enjoyed it very much and have got the Bug.
I am sure that this will be the first of many APATs for me

Probably been asked before, but...do we need to join up as a member with the Casino if we are members with the Grosvenor in Walsall?  Not sure if it covers all?

If we do need to join I assume this can be done when we get there?

Cheers

the Grosvenor card from Walsall should be fine, but just in case please make sure you bring photo ID as they"ll want to issue you with a seperate G Casino card

Is it 2.30pm start or 3pm ?
What is the latest time I need to be there on saturday to confirm registration? (Is it 15 mins before start? )
What time do I need to be there on sunday, presuming I am still in

Do you know the approximate finishing times for each day please.

2.30pm both days

Saturday. You can turn up late and still play, as long as you are 100% sure you are on the list. As most won"t risk that then turn up anytime beforehand and check the seat draw from 2.15pm. Find the handsome large fella in the APAT top or the ugly small Ginger fella in the APAT top if you don"t see your name on the list

Approximate finishing time 1am Day 1

Approximate finishing time Day 2  8-10pm.

Player briefing soon. Ish.
