And the competition is to tell me how many trophies are on show in the above picture.  Not medals, just trophies.

Posts must not be modified and only your first guess counts.

Everyone that gets it right will enter a draw to win a 300 piece Poker Chipset.

Closing date for entries is 11:59pm on Friday 18th December 2009.     Good Luck.    Get counting

I"m assuming that a tiny bit of a trophy counts - but if a trophy is completely obscured by an image on top of it then it doesn"t?

If it was completely obscured, then you can"t see it, so how do you know it is there ?

If you can see a bit of the trophy (Or a number of bits of the same trophy), it counts as one.

But it is still there - we just can"t see it ...........cos it"s obscured.

How many completely obscured trophies do you make it Jon? - I"ve found 4 so far.

Typical poker players.  A simple competition, and now we have side action.   ;D

After the first coin flip, it was a tail, so we lose the top half of the draw, leaving :-

Second coinflip, and the tension is building.  This coinflipping is clearly not a poker one as it"s levelled itself out with a head this time, meaning the bottom half of the draw departs and we are left with 3 (This was good planning  ??? )

Okay, the players remaining will play a round robin coin flipping tournament (Home and Away), 1 point for a win, 0 if you are a loser.

Good luck everyone.    ;D

First round of matches

Jumbuck   v   Waz1892

HEAD - 1 point to Jumbuck

Waz1892   v   AJDUK

HEAD - 1 point to Waz1892

AJDUK   v   Jumbuck

TAIL - 1 point to Jumbuck

The table after round 1 looks like this :-

Jumbuck - 2pts
Waz1892 - 1pt
AJDUK - 0pts

It couldn"t be closer (well, it could, but you get the idea).   Here we go with round 2.
Title: Re: Advent Calendar Competition
Post by: Chipaccrual on December 19, 2009, 10:31:39 AM
Waz1892   v   Jumbuck

HEAD - 1 point to Waz1892  - What a crucial win to level things, now can he take that form into his next game.

AJDUK   v   Waz1892

HEAD - 1 point to AJDUK - Is this the comeback of all comebacks.  Back to back wins for AJDUK would see a sudden death, threeway, yet to be decided tiebreaker.

Jumbuck   v   AJDUK

HEAD - 1 point to Jumbuck - It wasn"t to be for AJDUK, outflipped at the last

Final table

Jumbuck - 3pts
Waz1892 - 2pts
AJDUK - 1pt

And we have a winner.  Congratulations to Robyn, she wins the chipset, unlucky to the two other, errrrr, finalists.   ;D

I knew doing this after a christmas party last night was a bad idea.   ;D

I even checked it twice, oh well Tony, if it makes you feel any better, you would have been in the final, but you wouldn"t have won.

And even if it was you instead of Andy, Black Country Poker Club would have kept up their record of players at the final table this season.   ;)

I"m going to lie down.   ;D

form always been a issue!....nice one robyn, great game......

although with the correct amount of injury time that should have been played, then I think things would have been different. Clearly, the player won the ball - their player was never touched and has jumped up in the air - and then for him to pull down our front player to the ground for the goal. The referee"s position to make the decision was absolutely ridiculous, he can"t see anything. He"s got a the player standing right in front of him and he doesn"t even move. It was a bad decision, but there"s nothing we can do about it. You lose faith in refereeing sometimes, that"s the way the players are talking in there - it was a bad one....
