nearly drew a blank but timepiece ran well , hoped she"d drift more , drifted to 7"s but missed that but took 13/2 so 1.5 points up for the day , 5 points up overall but i"m still looking for that elusive bigger price winner..
Hope u took the bigger price before the off Redders , they intend to start watering now so it"ll be interesting if it will effect the draw bias that seems to be high atm...

Yep DW bags another top race , i suspect he"ll keep R.O.P to top class 1m6f+ flat races with a prep run in the Irish St Leger to fine tune him before a tilt at the Melbourne Cup .. It helps with Purple Moon getting soundly beat as he had a fine 2nd in the Melbourne Cup back in 07 , so maybe a 3rd MB cup is on the cards for Dermot :) and any Horse who wins both races [ISL + MBcup] is rewarded with a bonus of 500,000 Australian Dollars... so September ISL then Tuesday, 2 November 2010 for the main one glglgl Mr Weld...

ok only 2 days to go and i"m 20 points up plus 1 for the notebook imho was Wigmore Hall , Ransom Note was a good pick Rob , did u follow value scope in the mirror? Dave Mitchell does well with that column , one of the few tipsters himself and Tom Segal that think long term profit..
So day 4 already , wowser thats flown by -
2.30 Margot Did [took 11"s with PP]
3.05 Arctic Cosmos - A race in which the Derby horses traditionally take on , but they have a poor record 4 wins in last 20 so i"m taking a punt that Gosden [who ran Azmeel in the Derby] thinks this horse has the class to win , he must of shown something at home? strange as he comes here with a kempton AW cl4 hc win over a 1m4f into a group 2 - http://www.chroma.premiumtv.co.uk/streaming/watch/RacingUKFlashVOD/partnerId_166/videoFileId_10092247/clipId_1608977/index.html [u"ll see him come round the bend in the last 3 , buick moves him out to the center and asks him to go at the 2 , and the afterburners kick in]
3.50 Chachamaidee [liked music show but not the price]
4.25 Eastern Aria [like Kings Gambit as well , so flipped a coin to split the pair :)]
5.00 Troas
5.35 Swift Gift [took 20"s with betfred already]

2.30 King Torus - can Hannon take this race for the third year running? took 5"s with bet365
3.05 Barshiba [ew] - took 33"s with laddies
3.50 Society Rock - the last two winners of this race - Art Connoisseur and Kingsgate Native were 3yo"s , Rock fits the same sort of profile and Fanshawe is adept with sprinters , so worth a punt imho :) took 41"s on betfair... Gosdens 3yo looks the part but the value has gone...
4.25 Rileyskeepingfaith , Noverre To Go [gone for 2 , both drawn high , took 25"s and 16"s respectively
5.00 Submariner
5.35 Aajel , Swingkeel [liked them both so i"ve backed 2 :) took 8"s on both with laddies]

:) when he drifted i had a ew saver lol shame drawn 13 as he lost 3+ lengths at the start tacking across , finished well catching up with Starspangledbanner who had a straight forward run from his low draw .. Of course Aidan gives us the guff of how quick his boy is but imho Society Rocks is the one who"d won if drawn lower.. Hopefully punters will latch onto Starspangledbanner for the July Cup and still leave a nice price on Society Rocks..Hopefully Fanshawe will repeat Frizzante"s win in the July Cup back in 04 with SR"s this year..

32 points profit for ascot , not to bad , keeps the bankroll healthy ,  onwards to the july meeting and Goodwood..

Rileyskeepingfaith and Noverre To Go finished 2nd and 3rd on there side behind Genki in the wokingham , so 2 to look out for at nice prices for the stewards cup imho..

This was just as profitable for me as cheltenham, but far less stressful.

I have decided that a little knowledge (like I have over the jumps) is much more dangerous than no knowledge (like me and flat racing)

some cracking races this week with some great finishes, and like noble (and leigh) am looking forward to Goodwood.

Is the July meeting at Newmarket??
