Starts on Thursday at Pebble Beach, should be a very tough 4 rounds.
My 5 against the field (all backed EW);
Watney
Crane
Moore
Gay
Barnes
Would love to see a Brit (or European) do well but history suggests an American will win, don"t think it will be Tiger though...

Stricker, McIlroy and Harrington - all good links players. I"ll bet on these guys to win their first round 3balls.
I"m planning on waiting "til Saturday before placing any win bets as Pebble Beach is such a disaster waiting to happen.

i"ve just backed us players or non european to win apart from woods and mickelson trying to get some value , ended up backing 7 to win :)

Well done Graeme McDowell , a european winning the US open is bigger than winning one of the other 3 majors imho..
One of my bets Dustin Johnson was looking good until RD4 , starting with a 3 shot lead he went into meltdown on the 2nd,3rd and 4th hole , meh :)
Irish eyes are smiling tonight , not since 1970 has a euro won the us open but also he is the 1st ever euro to win at Pebble Beach...
Guinness will be in short supply me thinks in Ireland and maybe in the Pebble Beach area :)

Had Johnson at 42 pre-comp and lay at 1.92 on Sunday morning for £500 gtd. It"s like taking a final table chop but better cos you get to see whether it was the right decision or not :)
-
I sold woods v Havret in R4 to help me edge into profit for this comp.
delighted for McDowell - great bottle!!

Top result for McDowell, excellent that a Brit has won the US Open. Johnson was my 6th choice and I was gutted as I could have traded out a profit on Saturday night, if I had backed him that is.
Not a good week at Ascot or on the Golf, good job have not got involved in the world cup too much.
Think I may stick to poker...
