Just read this in the Poker Player Mag...nice one.

Will we be required to de-reg if we have already paid for a day 1a or 1b, as per other Betfair Satellites?

As far as I am aware, no you won"t.  Betfair will manually enter the succesful players into the events.  If you already have a seat in the holding tank, then Betfair will let you know whether you can just unregister or if they will do that for you and credit your account.

These tournaments won"t be linked to the holding tanks, so you WILL NOT need to unregister from a holding tank to be able to play them.

Question about this. Does anybody know what time these things are, work is doing a really good job of interfering with poker (again) for me. I already may end up missing one event (non apat) I have qualified for. I want to try and play in these if I can though. Will they be 8pm starts?

I"ve noticed before that a lot of promotional tournaments tend to get added to poker sites at a very late date

You"d be refunded your ME buyin in full.

The passport enables you to play upto 5 events.  Nothing says you have to play all 5, but I believe the package value would remain the same, so remainder in expenses.

Hope that clears that up for you.

Hardly anywhere stocks Pokerplayer magazine anywhere anymore, the only way people I know get it is by subscription or if they live near a casino that gets copies.

or the events we run with added value GUKPT and APAT seats for that matter ?

Everyone seems to want something for nothing these days.   ;)

Think it"s settled down a bit now though, so hopefully will able to play some actual poker

8th hand on my table saw it fold round to Dewi on the button... raise to 50..... me in the BB.... re-raise with AK to 250...... Dewi 4-bet to 600...... me 5-bet all in for 2500...... Dewi call with Q8........ flop x88.  better to bust now than 5 hours later I guess :)

Congratulations to Stuart "SirPerceval" Oliver for scooping the latest Passport Promo.

That"s 2 out of 2 now for the APAT forum guys.  Good work.

Well done to "sherifatman", "dpower" and "vitoapet" who all get a Main Event package.

To be fair, the guy got dealt pocket aces twice in the heads up.

First time againt your QT which hit two pair on the flop, only for the board to pair the other card on the turn to bail him out.

Then against your QJ, when you hit the quad queens.  I thought you were very generous to let it go on as long as you did.   ;)

well done stu

Will be hard to not play the HU while you you skipper Scotland to possible glory.

Lets face it, you do have a good chance, given the lack of a Costa Rican team

the good thing with these passport jobbies, is you pick whichever event you want to play, i.e you pick the ME only, the rest you get in exe"s, obv the more events you play the less you get in £££

Welcome to APAT "sheriffatman".

Very unlucky last night, I watched the final table and thought you played very well as the shortstack when down to 4/5 players, and were very unlucky in the heads up.

Look forward to seeing you in Nottingham.

private joke?
it def wasn"t me

btw could someone please explain which day 1 entry we"ll get and what the procedure is- do i need to join DTD eg?
cheers

Sorry no, wasn"t a private joke...... there"s another Sheriff FatMan out there somewhere.

Not sure which day 1 you get - sure Leigh will confirm though. But I can answer the DTD question - yes you need to join, and you can do this in advance on the DTD website, but will need to take driving license or passport on your first visit.

My initial comment was very much in jest at "Perceval", I certainly wasn"t having a dig at you whatsoever.

Betfair should contact you to choose which starting day you would prefer.  You will need to be a member at DTD prior to playing the event.  This can be done online through the dusk till dawn website, and save yourself a bit of time on the day.

As I said, you were very unlucky with the second lot of aces, not a lot else you could have done.

See you in Nottingham.

Really pleased to have won the event, even if it was all due to pure luck on every hand I played throughout the tournament.  ;)

wp on second Jon, and welcome to the forum.
