For £10.95, willing victims can "enjoy" 10 eggs, 10 sausages, 10 rashers of bacon, 10 slices of toast, five black pudding slices, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans.

WTF where is the fried slices and the chips?
i kid you not im one of the finest big eaters you will ever see im 5ft 6" i weigh 12stone 5 and i could crush this unless its a whole catering tin of beans!

come on the hendonmob

I"ll come for breakfast, although I won"t be trying one of those, I like my breakfasts and all but thats just sickness lol. I have faith that some braver APATers might give it a damn good try though.

Holiday Inn looks a good bet to me for the Hotel as well less than a mile away and reasonable prices for the three nights.

PMSL @ the Apat team thinking they will need ONE night fullstop they will all be going home tail between their legs by level 5 this year

Driving home and back each night would take too long so the hotel stay is better, it costs less than the petrol. Also to be fair it is unlikely every member of team APAT will have got enough chips automatically win the tournament by the end of level five but I agree there is an outside chance.

A song for team APAT at the end of the tournament

Easiest way to get from London?  Trainline says I can get there w/ a change (think in stockport???), but its 2hrs 36 mins travel time.  Anyone else any better ideas before I book this up?

Can"t think of one. London Euston to Bolton (via Manchester Piccadilly) in 2 1/2 hours.

I"m probably gonna drive and it"ll be 4+ hours.

This if there are 5 of you sharing. Wont be too much more than £50 between you

Otherwise train to piccadilly then connect to Bolton (may have to hop over to Victoria station for this though)

Think everyone meeting at the hotel bar for a start and abso no chance you"ll be fit for anything on Saturday.  Everyone (the "planning people more specifically) in Spain at the minute but will probably have this thread full of ideas before the week is out.

About 30 mins I think.

We live just 45 mins away so, sitter dependant, we could be there around 5pm...

I know I"m not 100% familiar with everyone but I was planning on coming up Friday night too, to get in the swing of things and to get to know everyone better. I"m leaving here with my partner at 4pm. I"m not liking the thought of a trip up the M6 on a Friday night so should be there for around 6.30pm - 7.00pm traffic depending.

Post by: AAroddersAA on January 18, 2011, 11:55:23 AM
I will definately be there by 5pm, so will probably pop down for food at that point. Due to the CoC event being that night (must have been a mix up with the planning) I won"t be drinking but will come in and say hello to everybody before heading to the casino for the 8pm start. I"m sure you will find some suitable entertainment in Bolton though.

Looks like the main "strip" in Bolton is Bradshawgate and Nelson Square is in the heart of that area.

Might I suggest we aim for the JD Wetherspoon"s Pub "The Spinning Mule" (http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-spinning-mule) at Nelson Square, Bolton BL1 1JT which is about a 10 minute walk from the HI down the main drag

[MAP IT (http://goo.gl/maps/rn4u)]

That should allow us an opportunity to scope out the area.

I have an offer from one of the many bars in Bolton which will be exclusive to us

Its called C2 and it is a relatively new bar on Bradshawgate

Free entry 8pm and open till 4am, and as long as I let the guy know a few days in advance, I can get in certain drinks he doesnt usually stock ( Corona is an obvious Ger), and as long as I give  him party details ( ie in this case APAT), things like trainers not usually allowed will be ok.

Pretty cheap too, shots £1. spirits and mixers £1.50 and all bottles £2

If there"s enough interest, let me know by Weds and I"ll sort it

That is the sort of market research you want.

(to Ian ish = 5 minutes either side.....to me ish = 15 minutes either side).....Nuff said

Around 7 we will be heading over to the G casino (wonder how many times I will hear "this is where I won my 1st medal")  Will be taking piccs and railing the CoC.  Maybe a wine or two.

Looking forward to what sounds like is gonna be a great weekend.
