I"ve just attempted to buy in to a tournament and also made four attempts to buy in to different cash tables. On each occasion I got an error message saying something similar to "buy in failed"... but when I look at my account summary, all five buy ins have been deducted from the my account balance.

Not happy, email sent.  >:(

Hi Ian

Yes think lots of us having problems logging in. I tried to register for tonight"s friendly game at lunchtime and had same problem. Keeps saying wrong password. Was hoping this was going to be sorted before tonights game. Will try again when I get home.

Think Betfair has major problems at the moment.

Thanks Leigh but that still doesn"t explain why we can"t log in. Maybe they have just shut Betfair down whilst they sort it.

Going to be gutted if tonights Furness game doesn"t happen. Just love it on a Monday night.

On the Betfair Forum.....

Our engineering teams are still working on the underlying problem that is affecting our Poker, Arcade and Casino services. Currently all 3 products remain unavailable to our customers while work on resolving these issues. Once again we like to apologies for the inconvenience caused.

since switching to ongame, I have encountered problems with the software.  on a couple of occassions I had been playing in tournaments that froze, and were eventually cancelled.  On these occassions, I contacted support and was assured my buyins would be refunded, and they were.  But I do have a MAJOR gripe with betfair for their perceived lack of forthcomingness or interest in keeping their players in the loop when things go wrong.  All it would take is for customer support to read what gets posted in their chatbox, and RESPOND to players concerns... but this never happens.  Then when I read about problems such as this issue of players funds being trapped, or casino players getting stiffed for winning too much in a poorly constructed promotion, my faith in trusting my money to such a company diminishes rapidly.  How long did it take for betfair to pull their services offline when they knew their software had a glitch that required "emergency maintainance?.... too long.

I like playing on betfair, the player pool is grinder heaven... but there are plenty more fish in other seas as well. This might be the final straw for me, I will be watching and reading with interest to see how well betfair comes through this.
I suggest the powers at APAT do the same.
