Yes...they all currently have 10k. ;D
The English Championship has come around a bit earlier this time.
Is Tod Wood the shortest-reigning champion in APAT history?
24 October 2010 - 27 March 2011
Sorry if it is posted elsewhere and I have missed it, but what is happening on Sunday 27th ? I read somewhere about a side event ? is it reg on the day ?
Just looked on the G Casino site, they have a 15K deep-and-steep game for £15 at 4pm or thereabouts, is there an APAT game as well ? Might come along to this for some Live practice, and rail the latter stages of the APAT main comp.
My table is still waiting for Andy Overton to act.

CLOCK! ;D
Leigh. Can you get in touch with the TD please. I need a ruling! Is a player allowed to call the clock before the tournament begins?
:)
I"m guessing your the slow one Andy, eh?
2 day penalty! Paulie is not allowed to play a hand in this tourney during the next two days.
Daniel Phillips has just turned up. He has blinded away Zero chips.
APATs new tournament structure is proving revolutionary, being the slowest encountered anywhere in tournament poker, though the penal antes are yet to come in
I am in tomorrow"s buffet queue with a sleeping bag, and Maylis is currently waltzing around the dancefloor to Bruno Mars
Don Roberts is swimming in a water feature
Please join us after the next break for more action
I came out during the break and it was cold. Did I miss Summer or did it happen?
First person to get all 10 on here, and all ten are in tomorrow"s field, wins a package of 888.com goodies. Hopefully, I need to ask Leigh
Do not post until you have a guess for all ten
Andy,
Fancy a job ?
Very good. ;D
How many APAT National Champions are playing tomorrow?
Daniel Phillips. Won the first ever APAT event at the Broadway. Confounded the sceptics when only four years later he won a second major tournament, the DTD Deepstack.
Current Chip Stack: 10,000. Typically slow progress
Andy Kingan. Won in Austria. Amidst the smokey tables, the black decor and the Orange Wings. Beat Martin Kalser who went on to win a WSOP bracelet
Current Chip Stack: 10,000. Andy is in the bar
Tim Magnus. Welsh Champion. APAT finalist since. Seeking qualification for the Welsh Poker team, due to absence of other local alternatives for the captains in the Home Internationals
Current Chip stack 10,000. Tim is in Jeldon Fernandes" pocket.
John Murray. A 2010 winner in London ahead of Alan Lake and Mr "Swim in a water feature" Don Roberts.
Current Chip Stack 10,000. John is busy sourcing an APAT venue in Worthing for 2015
Darren Shallis. Irish winner in Season 3 (2?) and seven time APAT finalist. Darren is half Welsh. After the football tomorrow he may admit to this, but most likely won"t
Current Chip stack 10,000. Darren is currently doing Gollum impressions behind Steve Roderick"s back
Tod Wood. English Championships winner at Luton last October. The BCPC "D" Team"s third best player hopes to achieve the double.
Current Chip Stack 10,000 Tod is currently trying to ignore Brian Yates.
OK, so we"re just a day away from the start of APAT Coventry and here are the latest player updates....
Reigning champion Tod Wood is preparing his Caesar Outfit, his horse and carriage and his bevvy of leggy blondes for his grand entrance, Hellmuth style!
Dan Owston and Scouse are on their 12th round of Jaeger Bombs and Scouse is preparing his wizards sleeve, lining it with sevens and twos, making sure he can slip them out without anyone noticing, and that they"ll always come out off suit
Brian Yates is preparing the BCPC (Best poker club in the midlands) promotional material and trying to figure out how he won last nights inaugral BCPC Premier League Poker online home game it"s that long since he won one!
Leigh is making the final adjustments to his spreadsheets that will predict the final tablists, who will end up heads up and the final winning hand, although he"s still struggling with getting it to work out Dan and Scouses final tab as it"s using up 48Gb of memory and 3 quad core processors
Maylis is making herself look bang tidy
Darren Shallis has been given a bye straight to the final table as it"s inevitable
Steve Redfern is re-re-reading Gus Hansens Guide to being a Nutjob Mentallist uber-uber-aggressive tournament champion
Rupinder Bedi has had a rollercoaster ride and is currently sitting on either 12 chips or 127000
Ant Williams is out running flopped Quad Aces into a runner runner Royal Flush, unlucky Ant
Matt McKinlay has got em in 60-40 ya donk, we"re awaiting the outcome....
Jack Prime was last seen naked wandering around the casino mumbling something about keys
Don Roberts is attempting to beat last years walking on water record of 0.2 seconds
Swinebag and ladman are still trying to find me to get the drinks i offered to buy them
Tony Trippier is shining up his Bronze from the Stud, working on his bad beat story and figuring out how to get both pineapple and duck sex into his exit speech
Andy "Chuckie Egg" Duncan and Debjani "Bride of Chucky" Duncan can"t make it as they"re currently working on Bride of Chucky 2
Tighty is at the front of the buffet queue, shhh ... nobody tell him
Des will be arriving..... soon
and me, well i"m currently in the tank working out what to do with my first hand
More updates as and when they happen!
Gr8 post Andy

Welcome to Coventry
Setting up before the players arrive
Worked all night at Luton, updating, up for F1 qualifying, shower/shave and up the Motorway to Coventry
On arrival at hotel reception I found myself wating while three drunks insisted on being let into the stadium. They must have been drunk.
I smiled my best smile and asked the very pleasant receptionist (Lucy) if she would like me to stick around until they left.
She said "yes" nervously
I drew myself up to my full width, stuck my chest out and practiced my Sir Galahad look
I then turned round to see one of the drunks slumped under a cashpoint machine. I suggested to him that he might like to leave before he was thrown out of the stadium he seemed to love.
He looked me up and down, muttered something about how big I was, and left
Kerfuffle over a few minutes later, I went to my suite. Yes, suite. Very nice. Wasted on me, but very nice.
On returning to reception I spotted Lucy on facebook on the computer behind the counter. I have a new facebook friend
A slightly dodgy experience ends in a vestige of a triumph then.

Maylis I am listening and watching.
I would like to ask Leigh, running APAT must cost a lot of money with all the work and people involved in running this. I am surprised there is no charge for membership.

Sponsors pay for the live feed costs, and the cost of myself and Leigh (small, but nonetheless a cost). As well as adding value to players, paying reg fees, hiring venues etc
We also get a lot of voluntary help at events, which is appreciated and from mods and divisional controllers at all times, which is equally appreciated
None of us would do it if we didn"t have a labour of love.
For all of it to continue as is as many APAT members as possible need to sign up to 888. com and play when they can

Thanks Tighty, I was listening to Leigh talking to Maylis regarding all the work that goes into organising all the events at the beginning of the year, which must take a lot of juggling with dates and time consuming organising eveything. It is a great job you all do. I would willingly pay membership fees towards this and I am sure other members would too!

Will be interesting to see how the new payout structure changes the dynamic. Well done Tod on getting there, now TID.
It also seems like the new ante structure worked well. More play than usual for this final table.
Leigh, any way you could maybe get the At A Glance thread to show the payouts for the FT rather than 1-5 and a min-cash?
GL to all on making the FT. Would happily laugh my ass off if Tod Wood managed to retain.

Tighty has one safe for you. And fact that he was prepared to handle a Coventry City Duck, shows how much he cares. ;)

David Griffiths shoves with KJ and gets a caller in Mike Wilson with pocket fives.
The fives are good, and David exits in 19th

Change of dealer on the final table.
We"re about to go on a ten minute break, when we"ll chip up the 100"s and 500"s.
Come on Tod, you can do it.
the "at a glance" update is a real winner that other updating set ups could learn from.
really enjoying this.
A really superb set up. Good guest vocals from Mark and the "at a glance" update is a real winner that other updating set ups could learn from.
Wd Rich, Leigh and May.

Very IT intensive, and resource heavy. A fantastic thing, but not that feasible for poorly resourced teams!
