23 remain, and they will all be taking something home. But who will take the gold? Will Rich Offless show his utter dominance of APAT tournaments recently, and repeat his triumph in Walsall not 2 months ago? Will Simon Auckland continue his dominance from day 1? It is still anybody"s tournament, so join us from 2.30pm (ish) for the trials, tribulations and soap opera that is the final day of the APAT UK Amateur Championship!

Players are taking their seats now. I"m expecting it to be a bit crazy at the start as the short stacks try to double up quickly to give themselves a chance of winning. We shall see...
-
Can you please wish GOOD LUCK to Caz
-
Caroline Burgess is the first person out, after her Q-Q was cruelly beaten by Simon Turton"s A-J, the big A falling on the river. Caroline takes home £75 for 23rd place.
When we hit 21, we will go hand-for-hand.
-
Daniel Downer exits in 22nd after his A-K was outdrawn by Simon Turton"s Q-9 and also takes home £75. It"s BUBBLE time...and we are now hand-for-hand.
-
Right on the bubble, Mark Hayter pushed all in for 70k on a 6-9-7-J-5 board with 3 spades on. The pot was about 110k, and Lee Smith was left with a very difficult decision - call for your tournament life on a draw heavy board, or leave yourself with 70k to play with, when the blinds are 4k/8k. Lee eventually passed, flipping J-6, only to see a smiling Hayter casually flip 6-3.
Ouch.
The clock has been paused at 4k/8k whilst we are hand-for-hand.
-
Well played everybody, Rich Offless especially... Come on Rich, Bring it home..
-
Andy Cave is the bubble boy. Blind vs Blind, he pushed in the SB for 23k with A-4 and was called in the BB by Lee Smith with K-6. The 6 hit the flop, and no Aces came to save Andy, who takes home £75.
20th down to 10th now take home £400.
-
Rich Offless OUT in 20th, pushing to steal with J-4 only to run into A-Q of Rob Plaistow. The Q-2-6-A-7 board was no help to anybody, and Offless takes home £400.
Dominik Hediger is OUT in 19th, also taking home £400.
-
Unlucky RichEO....
Still an excellent record, played 3 APAT tournaments, 7th, 1st and 20th, made the money every time..!!
RESPECT
-
Andy Pyrah OUT in 18th, he ran his A-J into his opponent"s A-K. The 9 high board failed to improve either hand and Andy headed to the rail, £400 richer.
Eric Riley is OUT in 17th, taking home £400.
-
Brendan Duffy is OUT in 16th. He pushed with A-J and ran into 8-8. The 7-Q-Q-9-4 board was no help, and Brendan leaves £400 richer.
-
Tim Magnus is OUT in 15th, after his opponent filthily rivered a flush.
Mike Gale is OUT in 14th after pushing with A-6 only to run into 10-10 which turned into a set on the flop and a full house on the turn.
Both men take home £400 for their efforts.
-
Afternoon all...
WP Rich, a load of respect.... Good luck to all still in.. Are there any blondes left now Adam?
-
Any chance of a rough chip count so we know who"s been knocking everyone out in the last hour and a half? Is Simon Auckland still chip leader?
-
Darren Dunn is OUT in 13th, calling Mark Hayter"s all in with A-Q, only to run into 10-10 that hit a set on the flop.
Darren also takes home £400 for his efforts.
-
Richard Barnes OUT in 12th, his Queens being outdrawn by his opponent"s K-Q, the board reading 2-K-7-4-3.
Richard takes home £400 for his efforts.
-
any chance of chips of lee smith and simon turton?
thanks.
-
We will do a full chip count when we reach the final table, which at the rate they"re dropping, shouldnt be too long. This will be updated on here with pics.
-
I knew I"d seen the guy sat next to me before- it was Andy Pyrah!!!!
-
And with 2 eliminations in the space of 10 seconds, the bubble is non-existant and we have a final table!
David Gilbert exited in 11th and takes home £400, but it is the unfortunate Bob Ballou that exits as the final table bubble boy, he pushed with 5-5 and was called by Rob Plaistow with A-Q. The board read 9-10-9-K-K, the running Kings counterfeiting Bob"s fives and giving Rob the pot with his A kicker!
Bob also takes home £400.
Final table chip counts to come shortly.
-
Well played all still in, and those who were on my tables yesterday. Probably my second favourite APAT event so far.
Good work Des and Rich and all those at the G in Manchester (except for one dealer and the valets...oh, and that woman who was "singing" at a ridiculous volume, badly).
-
What Kin said- they ust gemore and more enjoyable- see u at the regionals next week!

Good God she was so bad wasn"t she..........
Hey Duke,
did I tell you..!! I played 3 x £20 sit and go games after I was knocked out, and I won em all..!!! (Chopped one)
-
Yeah but that horrible singer was peanut smuggling to the point where you could hang up your wet duffle coat..
:o
-
Des is taking pics of the final tablists...and it"s a good job he did because we lost one!
Graham Wills is OUT in 9th place, taking home £600 for his efforts. He ran his Kings into Rob Plaistow"s Aces. Plaistow is now up to over 550k.
-
Lee Smith doubles to 134k with A-A vs A-Q of Stuart Hopkin.
-
Stuart Hopkin doubles to 270k with A-A vs Kevin Davies" K-9 in a battle of the blinds.
-
Lee Baron is OUT in 8th place, winning £600.
Rob Plaistow raised preflop and Lee called. They saw a A-3-3 flop and Lee bet 50k. Rob raised to 120k and Lee shoved. Rob called and flipped 9-9 to Lee"s A-5. The turn, however, brought the 9, with the river a blank 2 and Lee headed for the rail.
-
Lee Smith is OUT in 7th place, eliminated by Rob Plaistow.
On a Q-10-7 board with 2 diamonds, Rob bet 60k. Lee shoved, and Rob called, flipping Q-6 of diamonds. Lee flipped J-10, and the Q turn sealed it for Rob, the 5 river no use to anybody.
Lee takes home £600.
-
Latest chip counts:
Stuart Hopkin - 172,000
Mark Hayter - 308,000
Kevin Davies - 177,000
Simon Auckland - 195,000
Simon Turton - 190,000
Rob Plaistow - 970,000
-
Simon Auckland doubles through Rob Plaistow after pushing to Rob"s raise preflop, only to see Rob call and flip K-K. Simon had a dominated K-9, but hit a straight on the turn to take a 350k pot.
-
sick, sounds like our home game! Keep "em coming si ;D
-
sick, sounds like our home game! Keep "em coming si ;D
sssh...
Beware of the bok!!!
-
Mark Hayter is OUT.
Kevin Davies raised preflop and Mark looked down at 4-4, deciding to push. Kevin insta called and flipped J-J. The board read 8-10-8-K-5, giving Kevin the pot and eliminating Mark.
Mark takes home £600 for his efforts.
-
Stuart Hopkin doubles through Simon Turton holding A-10 against 7-7 on a A-10-6-5-3 board.
-
Simon Auckland doubles through Rob Plaistow in a 550k pot, holding K-Q against 3-3 on a K-10-7-K-6 board. All the money went in on the river...
-
how many chips has simon turton got now?
thanks.
-
Stuart Hopkin, who was down to his last 69k, has just trebled up with 6-6. Both his opponents, Simon Turton and Kevin Davies, completely missed a 10-4-2-8-K board.
-
Simon Turton - 450k after just doubling through Simon Auckland, hitting a set of 3"s on a 10-2-3 flop.
-
Stuart Hopkin doubles up again, through Kevin Davies again. It all went in on a K-Q-3-5 board, and Kevin held K-9, but Stuart had K-3 and the blank river gives Stuart the pot...
...then as I type that, Tikay shouts "ALL IN", and Stuart"s all in again! This time against Rob Plaistow, and its a classic race between Stuart"s A-K and Rob"s J-J. The 2-8-K-7-Q board gives Stuart the 850k pot and the chip lead!
Rob has just moved all in...
-
...and is OUT. He pushed from the SB with K-2 as it was folded to him, but Simon Turton called with A-3 from the BB. No help for either player on the board and Rob heads home in 5th place, taking home £600.
-
go on simon take it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Kevin Davies - 430,000
Simon Auckland - 310,000
Simon Turton - 540,000
Stuart Hopkin - 750,000
-
Thats quite an exit from monster chip leader to out in not very long
-
Simon Auckland doubles to 640k after raising UTG with A-6, and getting re-raised al in by Kevin Davies who had A-K. The 6 on the flop left Davies needed a King...which never arrived. Davies has not very much left...
-
Next hand Kevin Davies pushes all in from the SB. Simon Auckland calls blind from the BB and flips 4-2 to Kevin"s A-8.
The board: 5-9-10-7-2, which means that Kevin Davies is OUT in 4th, taking home £600.
-
Hey, get your own hand Auckland. 4-2 is mine!
-
*MASSIVE HAND ALERT*
Stuart raises to 115k. Simon A then re-raises to 250k! Simon T gets out of the way in the BB and Stuart flat calls.
Flop: J-6-A
Simon A checks, Stuart pushes all in! Simon A goes into the tank for a good minute before calling!
Simon A: A-7
Stuart: K-Q
The turn brings a 6, and Tikay is reminding everyone "only a 10 will do..." and thats exactly what comes! The 10 appears on the river, and cripples Simon Auckland. Stuart is now chip leader.
-
Simon Auckland is OUT in 3rd place, winning £1,250 and a Bronze Medal!
Simon pushed with 8-8, and was called by the other Simon, Simon Turton, who held A-K. The board read 4-K-10-A-Q, giving Simon T the 2 pair and the pot, and sending Simon A to the rail in 3rd.
-
We are now heads up.
Stuart Hopkin vs Simon Turton.
One of these players will walk away with the APAT Gold Medal, the Trophy, the £3,500 and the GUKPT seat. Don"t go anywhere!
I"m already predicting that this will last longer than the Rich Offless heads up in Walsall!
-
