Could someone tell me how clickfest works and were I need to be at 9pm on the 18th? Sadly I can"t play tomorrow night in the online sats so will have to rely on Clickfest - just need to know what/how/where.

A link will appear on www.apat.com allowing you to enter your details including card payment details.
A list of the successful players is normally published on the forum later that night.

The link appears. Then you have about two minutes to fill in your details, your card details, and send them in.
Much longer than that, and you risk missing out.

I"ve never missed with a clickfest but have yet to actually do anything once i get there (made the buffet - once)

Can I buy more than 1 place, or is it limited to 1 place per transaction?

I have bought two seats before. Make sure you email customer@apat.com afterwards to let them know the identities (forum and/or Blue Square) of the intended players.

I posted this on another thread when someone asked what the "clickfest" is. Took me long enough to type it out the first time so I thought I"d copy and paste it onto here as well ;D.
What has been named as the "clickfest" by those who take part in it is the direct-entry system for getting into the APAT National events.
After the satellite entries, there are still something like half the places up for grabs - and demand outstrips supply (so there might be 300 people after the remaining 100 places, for example).
What happens is that at 9pm (ish) on the night of the clickfest (which will be tonight in this case) a link will appear on the apat.com homepage. Once the link appears, you will be able to click on it and complete and entry form. This includes your credit/debit card details.
Once completed your entry is sent in. This does not mean you are in the tournament. It"s first come, first served. So if there are 100 places left, the first 100 entries received will be allocated seats and the £75 will eventually be taken from their accounts (if you"re unsuccessful no money will be taken). Normally, the places are allocated to those who get their entries in within the first two minutes - so if you aren"t quick at getting your form completed and sent, then you miss out.
What is also created is a reserve list. This list is a continuation of the list of successful entries (so in this case if you were the 101st quickest to get your entry in, you"ll be at the top of the reserve list), and as people drop out of the tournament before the day their places are offered to those on the reserve list. On the day of the tournament, the reserve list is scrapped and a new one created on a first-come, first-served basis as they arrive at the casino on the day.
Back to the clickfest. The link only appears after 9pm, and so you have to refresh the homepage of the site to see when it appears. The F5 button is how you refresh the page on most web browsers.
I am a master at the clickfest. Poker is where I struggle.

Can you not stay on the reserve list if you don"t get on prior to the event but plan on turning up? I may be no 1 on the list, but 20 people may arrive in Cardiff before me.
Is the reserve list published so we can see where we are in the grand scheme of things? How many reserves typically get to play?

typically 10-20 or so reserves get in pre event and it"s published
on the day a new alternates list is drawn up, and the pre-event reserve list is nullified

A new reserve list is created on the day. This list is also used as the alternates list. So it"s only right that it"s the first to arrive on the day who qualify for this list.

The reserve list is published. How many reserves get in does depend. Sometimes as many as 40, sometimes as few as 15.

All details and card numbers filled in by 21:01 and the "Make Payment" button firmly pressed, until the "Lloyds TSB Mastercard Secure" decides it wants to interrogate me, put in the 2 letters from my mothers maiden name, and my date of birth..... INCORRECT (I think not)
I"ve had this problem before, Lloyds TSB are convinced im a fraudster,
So I have then had to close everything down, and start again, while rummaging in my pockets for my OTHER credit card!! Filled the form out for the second time with the new details, and apparently its gone thru.

I was CL for a time iirc then my internet went down and got blinded off, apparently ended up 40th or something but got D/C just after the first break!
