Thick and fast at the moment, which is great because I feel we have the momentum withus at present
19 of us last week which was superb, and it really counted. Numbers are a factor, but it is worth noting that last week we had 10 from 24, and even though we went out in 24,23,22,and 21st!! we still had 3 on the FT..because we are pretty good at this game too!! ;)
It is hugely importantly to score in the high points of course, but we had 4 point scorers which helped with our win last week.
This has put us in the running for the title once more..lets not waste this opportunity...

Fair point, although, I think there seems to be a lot more "playing own game" play than team play at the moment and it has to raise the question of the point of playing a "team" game. 2 weeks running now I have felt that I have been on the ewrong end of some Luton "non team" play when I thought, whilst soft play is not allowed, it was the idea to try and make it a team game...another discussion for another time I"m sure... ???

Well hopefully the list Waz and I have posted earlier on here will assist everyone in doing what they need to do, and who is on our team.
I think IMHO, that it"s OK to play your own game with good hands, but also respect team members strong play where possible.
What we don"t want is us knocking each other out obv..

On a personal note i dont tend to get involved in a pot versus a fellow player.. position orientated, but if needs be i will re shove over the top if i genuinley think i have the best hand, an put them to the sword so to speak.. yes its a team game and my sole purpose is to score as many points for the team as possible. but at the same time there is ranking points and money to be run so i will play as i see fit in the situation. I would never bluff or steal from a team mate, but i would put all my chips in pre flop and give them the option to fold ;D

I cannot understand the problems with team players criticising other team players! There were 5 Luton players, which, incidently, I did not know were Luton players until the break. I was folding good hands to Luton players on my right as the player before me was a Luton player and was raising nearly every hand I had. The only time I played a very high hand after a check. check to the river when I was absolutley certain I had the winning hand. In fact, the Luton player who complained was over betting most of my calls or raising!
In fact, I don"t think I will read posts on here during the game anymore, as this completely spoilt my game tonight!! I always have and always will put the team first but does that mean I have to fold every hand to a Luton player to satisfy someone else"s ego!

Well this is very interesting. Finally found some time to explore the APAT site and found the thread for Matchday 12. Now I know where to find the list of all the players - and who they play for. I have to say that I"d have folded the 7"s vs RicayBoy had I taken the trouble to discover that he was on the same team... I"ve learnt a lot from reviewing the pages - it would definitely help to direct new members to these pages so that they can pick up all the "team-play" tips and avoid making the same mistake I made. Looking forward to playing Matchday 13 already.
