If all goes to plan, I will be looking at a spend of approx $300 this week, but with 3 more games to play it may end up in profit, will be trying.

Congrats to Craig as well on his bink and good luck in the main event, consistent run of results very well played. Perhaps I should just stfu and try and giq.

Actually just had a mad idea, landing in Gatwick on Friday, I don"t have to pick Susan up till Saturday, I would imagine I would need to take a break around the Nottingham area around 1pm, isn"t there a milly guaranteed game on there ?, hmmm, to be decided, unlikely but it"s floating around my head, might sell a bit if I do.

Love walking out of the hotel into the heat, it"s just so pleasant, not looking forward to the cold on my return.

Typing this whilst waiting in line ( gone all American) for the breakfast buffet, usually this fills me up for the day, grab something later if needed.

After a quick count we are $1k up, so I could lock it up and being the general nit/ tightwad could hide away and be happy with that.

But we don"t want to do that, so Venetian have another $400 on today, no guarantee, but will get 100 plus runners, so going to jump into that.

Also a free lunch is being provided by the casino, nits gonna nit.

Depending on what happens in the above, no poker tonight, need some form of the other entertainment, ( that"s the profit wiped out then

Remember, dont just take the first option... shop around :p

Hope you are having a top time mate

Boring stuff first, the $400 at the Venetian, peaked at 38k, but couldn"t get any momentum going, won a flip, lost a flip, got to 38k because a guy decided to shove 20 bigs with 10 8 off, over my raise, he was sick of me raising, he liked to see flops, I had Ak of the heart variety, 2 hearts on the flop, the 8 binked the turn but luckily for us the heart came in.

The next 3 levels were turgid, crap hands, spots, blah blah.

It all went wrong in the 400/800 level raised KQ, flatted by J 10, flop Q J 10, have the guy covered, but fail to hit.

Left with 10 bigs shoved AJ over min raise, he snaps with 77, flops me dead 667, lasted 6 hours or so, wasn"t to be.

Pokered out, what to do next, got some Noodles from the Chinese, found a ticket for Mystere for $50, it will pass a few hours before the big night out.

Whoever choreographs these things must be high, weird stuff all going on, impressive acrobats and tests of strength from a couple of Russians, more 6 packs on show than the local Booze4us store.

It was ok, not my thing but it kept me out of the poker room for a few hours.

Right here"s the bit you were all wanting to read about, readers may of been aware from a previous visit that phone numbers were exchanged but nothing came of it, similar experience tonight, pondering, that"s all folks.

I am just checking the feasibility of traveling from the Boro to Kazakhstan, may be slightly smitten, (those strong arms on those Russian Guys

Geography of that part of the world isn"t my strong point Brian so did a quick google.

Wiki reports "Kazakhstan - The territory of Kazakhstan has historically been inhabited by nomadic tribes. This changed in the 13th century, when Genghis Khan occupied the country."

Makes sense, she/he/they must have nomadic bloodlines, that"s why they all ended up in Vegas.
Saying nothing else as I don"t want to incriminate myself

Binkage alert, decided to try a new poker room today and that was the Wynn, started at 12 and 6.5 hours later done a chop for $1200, a bit less than the chip leader, but 800 more than busting in 5th,

Starting stack was 10k and didn"t get above it until 200/400 level, got a double up when 66 held v AJ, then just chipped up nicely, didn"t get involved in big pots just plenty of small ones, probs play the Aria 1pm tomorrow, and that should be it, if it doesn"t go to plan, could jump into the Venetian at 7pm, or I might go deep into the industrial road heartland.

Last day today, what to do ?.

Early start out onto the strip around 9:30, slow and steady jog to New York New York, (yeh right), roughly translated to slept till 10:30, strolled to Twin peaks for ice cold beer to wake up properly.

After this important pit stop continued up strip to New York New York to give the roller coaster a go, probably been about 15 years since I last rode one of these things and I can hereby declare that will be last, it"s an age thing.

After resting for another 10 mins whilst I managed to get my head, stomach, legs back to this reality lunch was calling.

Go on the then Lobster it is

Due to being on positive tilt decided to register the 1pm at Aria

Real time update of above game end of level 6, got 23k going to 400/800, 190 runners top prize $5k5, 90 left long way to go.

This is now the official last game whatever happens here, pokered out, but let"s win this first.

Level 10 raise 99 guy jams, we both have circa 13 bigs, hoping for a race, it wasn"t, Queens we hope to beat, we didn"t nh gg, and we are done with the poker, can"t complain 3 cashes from 9, with a $1k3 profit.

Off to pack, then shower and out to chillax, location to be decided.

Well that"s it for another year, after dilly dallying about, deciding to go then not too, then Stars being kind enabling me to go again on an effective Freeroll I am done.

This was my 3rd visit and if it was a boxing match, I would be ahead on points, first year decent profit, second year decent loss, (sorry for bringing that up again guys), this year decent win, onto the next round.

I will be back online and playing the locals on my return to get together another effort next year.

Brief synopsis played 9 tourneys cashed in 3 and made a grand profit of $1k3 which is ok given the nature of tournament poker.

If I didn"t play the  2 $400s, then $2k up, but gave myself a shot of a $12k and $14k top prize in each of those, the early touch enabled me to free roll the free roll.

The most annoying thing about the results was that in 3 games including the 2 $400 deepstacks I had built decent stacks early and failed to capitalise, it wasn"t as if I nitted up, just didn"t get lucky or got unlucky at them critical points.

The three cashes were the complete opposite, never getting a big stack, just doing enough to keep in the game, the Bellagio was just bizarre, after my initial error I had 8 bigs at 150/300, just shows never give up, also at the Wynn, never above starting stack until 200/400 level.

No bad beats to moan about all exits pretty standard, except the Aria AA v QQ, but was  duly compensated in the Bellagio when I got it aipf AK v KK, villain flopped a set, I runner runner flushed it.

In the 2cd Venetian deepstack, 3 times villains flopped sets v me with me also hitting the flop, never going to accumulate a stack if that happens.

Vegas is a place which can be done alone because of the nature of tournament poker but it would be good next year to get over there with my brother and some mates, obviously don"t do the night club scene but bars etc are better with company, then again they probably don"t want to hear a moaning poker player going on about bad beats.

In summary took $3k, brought home $3k8 saw 2 shows, ate out every day, played $1300 worth of tourneys, visited, hang on can"t mention that, you know the old saying What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, (except for the boring poker stuff).

Although Susan doesn"t read this, she hears too many bad beat stories already, why would she want to read about them as well.

I have to thank her for letting me come here, it"s not easy for her to be placed in a care home, even if it is only for a week.

In the quest to win big, get the big cash etc, health really is more important than anything else.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it, home James.

Well done Bri, great results. When you play online do you target any specfic tournaments or do you just play what is there? Great set of results over the past couple of years anyway.

Cheers Ste, re the games I play, it"s just what I fancy playing, no proper bankroll management, I only keep $1k online at the most, if I go over $1k5 I withdraw back to $1k, also if drop to $500 will redeposit to $1k,don"t want another full tilt lockout, tend to play $20/$55 ranges, probably a small winner/ break even player at best but always confident will bink something every now and then, (hopefully a big one), use poker winnings for stuff which household income wouldn"t stretch too.

I play mainly Stars but should start looking around for a few more games on other sites, but it"s just laziness on my part.

I do play every day but volume is not massive compared to proper grinders, it just fills in the day.

Also start playing a few more sats to bigger games.

Back to reality, woke up by the neighbours goat, yes you read correctly we now have a goat as well as 2 Bulldogs living next door.

Note to self win the Sunday million so we can move.

Still a bit all over with body clock but it"s more tiredness than jet lag, journey home from Gatwick included 2 hour kip in a car park, was wide awake when arrived back in Teesside, decided to late Reg Rainbows game, finished 8th, 6 paid

last hand 4 limpers at 3k/6k, surely they can"t all trapping with Aces and kings, too much dead money in the middle I shove KQ from the big blind, 15 bigs 3 folds, the guy who I would least expect calls, if he played to trap fair enough, he has A3off which holds.

His read was correct but still think A3 was a bit hopeful no probs well played,

Aj and an undisclosed pair were the other cards folded, so bad,but that"s why we go there.

I could just see a flop here but had a chance to get a decent stack and go for first place, not bothered about min cashing.

Last notes re Vegas the 2 new card. Rooms I played were Wynn which was good and would play again, but the Bellagio was all over the place, although it was really busy so that could be an excuse so will reserve proper judgement until I have played a few more games there,Venetian and Aria were spot on as per usual.

Almost a great start online last night finishing 20th in the triceratops, lost 2 flips at the end, behind in both no biggie had cracked AA with KK to get me there, variance innit.

Blogging seems to be out of fashion but as Someone who has no fashion sense or follows fashion, will continue with this until I am banned for boring people to death.

Run good, be lucky stay healthy, anybody want to buy a house, neighbours fine I promise.

And we are off in our quest for next years trip, a cheeky 3 way chop at the G last night for £250, only a £25 buy in so 10 x return on buy in is ok with me.

Best hand of the night, last hand before the break, guy min raises utg, he has already indicated he wants to rebuy, he has circa 14k, I 3 bet from cut off with 99, he peels, flop arrives with a 9 on it no flush or straight draws, he bets I call ,  turn quads, mbn, he just jams the rest in with A3 off, obv call and he slinks off to rebuy.

Refuse to pay pay 4 bubbles when ft reached( I was short, too embarrassed to accept £20 return) only 6 paid, we do give the actual bubble, £50 which is fair enough but 4 seems a bit ridiculous.

At this stage it"s pretty much shove fold poker, and I chip up because people just do not call correctly, or they know I am a total nit and assume I only play Aces and sometimes Kings.

Chip leader offers to take £320 and us 3 remaining split the rest, the maths says we would get less than 4th place, no chance play on, give us some credit for a bit of intelligence.

Flat dem Aces in bb from 12bb stack, gets me a full double up, then win a flip with AQ v 99 to make us all on about 300k each, 1 million in play, we chop it up equally, it was 1pm and was happy to get on my way.

Made a schoolboy error early on with KK, exposing my cards with action still to come, I had been set all in and a third person was still in pot, guy won the main pot he had Q7, which made trips on the river, othr person had AJ, which didn"t get there, I couldn"t bet, but doubt I would of got any extra from her anyway as she didn"t hit.

She also made a mistake in the hand not realising I had gone all in over the top of q7 guy and she just called assuming it was only 8k to call when it was in fact 20k+, luckily it wasn"t in Vegas or I would of been sent to the naughty corner, but at the G rules what rules.
